So I have a Sprint stock Galaxy S10 5G (U.S. model) with the latest version of Google Assistant. In order to use my phone with Android Auto, I need two services turned on: "App info from your devices" and "Contact info from your devices" must both be enabled.
The strange thing is that at random intervals (could be a couple minutes, could be several days) both of those settings will automatically switch from "On" to "Paused". I don't know what causes it, but I often don't discover it until I am already driving and want to use voice recognition to place a call or send a text, which I can't. Instead I get this annoyingly cheery voice that says, "Sure. Let me get some more information to help with that.", and I have to pull over, reach for the phone, and turn those permissions back on again.
I even tried, sitting at my desk, enabling those Google Assistant settings, rebooting the phone in safe mode, and it immediately came up with the permissions turned back off. Does anybody have any idea what might be causing them to automatically turn off like that? Thanks.
Getting the exact same error as well as auto fill update prediction error from Google. Using latest google services v19.6.28 beta and 10.81.10.21 for Google app (also beta). Also when selecting voice match->Add devices it populates face match instead as shown in the attached picture...

These days I’m on vacation using a pre-paid connection. I actaved a data connection on it and started getting these usage summary notifications every few seconds (e.g: Data charge is xx.xx, your available balance is yy.yy, valid until dd/mm/yy). Its really annoying because if I keep the phone locked for like an hour I am presented with 50 odd such messages that I have to press OK before being able to use the phone . When I called the technical support, I was told that it is a phone feature usually called “After call summary” or “call summary”, that can be turned off from the phone itself. Since they don’t carry any android devices he couldn’t help me where to find it. I looked around myself, but couldn’t find anything . Can someone help me with this ? Thanks.
Guess no one knows about this feature or how to disable it?
some one help me with this too..
Hi. I don't think it's a device feature. And if it's a "call summary" then it shouldn't inform about data plan. Try searching for a disabling code on your operator's website.
I have a "call summary" enabled - it pops up after a call, and I can disable/enable it only with a USSD code defined by operator.
Remove Call Summary Screen on Verizon Galaxy 8
I was getting an annoying call summary screen on my Galaxy 8s. It appeared to have the green android messaging icon in the call summary and splash screen. I use the Verizon massaging app. I therefore disabled the android messaging app and the issue disappeared. If you have another android, see if you can replace the android messaging app prior to disabling it.
My Moto Voice seems to be playing up. I've only properly noticed it today.
Here's how it goes when the device is sleeping.
Me: What's up Moto X
Voice: beep
Me: Send text to wife
Voice: Ok. What's your message?
Me: hello
Voice: Ok sending. Say or type a pin.
Me: 1234
Screen says 'message sent' but it doesn't send the message!!
Same problem when I ask it to set a timer!
I'm seeing the same problem on a Samsung SG3. There is a recently introduced bug in the recent Search update. This was reported on Android Central. Article here.
I'm glad to see it formally reported, I have been searching the heck out of it and coming up with nothing. I've reinstalled GNL, Search & Hangouts to no avail.
In my case, when using Voice Command for a text, I get a "no SMS app installed" error, despite having Hangouts as my default message app.
I'm hoping they get this sorted quickly. My phone has had this bug for the past week or two.
It's not your brand new phone acting up, it's Search software bugs.
Right I changed my launch phrase to something else and now I can set a timer. but sending a message still not working. I'm running the stock Messaging app. Anyone else experiencing this??
Messaging still not working when using Moto Voice. I've note opened a support case with Motorola. I've made sure Messaging is the default app, used different launch phrases, tried restarting my phone.
Anyone else experiencing this?
My voice command text messaging is back. I recieved a Gmail update the other day, probably serendipity. I tried voice command texting today & it worked! I can also set an alarm via voice command, but not the countdown timer. The alarm is used for all timer sets now. Go figure, maybe server side on Google's part.
Motorola advised me to restart in safe mode and try again but no luck.
Now they're advising me to do a factory reset of the phone but I'm reluctant to do this as I'll lose ALL my settings and apps. Will try and make some time tonight or tomorrow to perform this. Will need to make a list of all my apps and folders I've created.
Still no go? That kind of stinks. They're just telling you the standards, factory reset, etc. Your apps should come flying back as you log back into your Google account after a factory reset. It's just time consuming to factory reset.
Moto Voice just released an update a little while ago. Give that a try.
I've managed to fix the issue after narrowing it down.
It was only not working when texting my wife. It worked for others.
I deleted her number from Contacts app and created it again and now it's working perfectly.
The Moto Voice update didn't make a difference as I tried that. Didn't bother with a factory reset in the end as it just takes too long and pointless.
Hopefully this helps others who get the same issue.
I'm trying to setup up Google voice so you can use the OK Google phrase from any screen but when I try an activate the setting and it prompts me to say OK Google three times it then comes up with an error message saying can't use the microphone. Restart your device (which makes no difference).
Does my phone have an issue or is Moto voice just preventing Google Voice from working?

Moto Voice has to be turned off in order for it to work.
Hi all,
Phone: N960U from T-Mobile, 128GB version.
I am by in large not getting notifications unless I open any given app, then I receive all notifications for the given app instantly.
Exception seems to be SMS messages.
This also seems to be impacted by my cell coverage, as the issue happens more at work where my cell service is poor, but we have strong wifi which I automatically connect to.
For example, someone sends me a message in Signal, I won't get any notification until I open Signal. However, if someone sends me a text message, Signal will present that SMS notification right away, but not message notifications even if they are waiting.
Same situation applies for anything that is data backed (email, browser, etc.) I say data because I know SMS is not handled the same way as data. I also do get notifications for things like reminders, phone calls (not sure that's a notification), and other non network related situations.
I am not using any power save modes and have exhausted all my google search finds of enabling/disabling different kind of notification settings.
My phone is not set to do not disturb either.
It almost seems like when the screen is off, I am losing data connectivity which is causing the apps to not update, but I would expect them to update when the screen turns on. Instead I have to manually open the app to trigger the sync.
Anyone have suggestions?
These notifications issues all started for me when my note 8 got upgraded to Android 8.0 and continue to be issues on the note 9. Sorry no consolation.
Primarily Telegram and i think what's app.
Sent from my SM-N960U1 using Tapatalk
I've been having issues with notifications in general for a year or so now across a few devices on and before Oreo, WhatsApp is the worst, it doesn't play well with custom ROMs, but even on the note9 pure stock is still a problem, my last ROM on my le eco le max 2 I used to have to lock these apps in the task switcher, I'm not certain if that's an option with the note9, I wasn't getting Gmail notifications either on this but that seems to be okay now I've disabled battery optimisation for it, have you tried that?
Hi everyone. I am having issues since day one with my Samsung S10. I am a T-mobile user if that matters. My first problem, I currently have a desktop with Windows 10 Pro and the latest build. However, since I got the phone, whenever I connect the phone to the computer via USB, it does not stay connected for more than a min. It will keep on disconnecting and automatically connecting. Many instances it will do it over and over, dozens of times until it finally connects but it wont last for more than 2 mins and start all over. A very frustrating issue because it makes file transfer nearly impossible.
I have so far unistalled all drivers, used 4 different cables to include original and problem still persists.
My second issue is with voice messages. Whenever I received a voice message, instead of going to my visual voice message app, it will show with the green phone icon in my notification, forcing me to call my voice mail. Rarely do new voice messages go to my visual voice mail app, they do, but rare. My wife also has a S10 and she has the same problem with the voice mail.
hopefully someone has some help to provide me.
Thanks in advance.

I will start from the second issue (the voicemail). I see that too and I am with T-Mobile as well. I do have VVM app installed, but see the normal voice mail icon in the notification bar as well as VVM icon. I don't really like double notification, but I am thinking it is possible to disable the phone app's notification for only the voice mail. Haven't tried it though...
As far as phone getting disconnected...I have seen this, but not with my S10e. I have another android device and it did happen to it, couple of times. When device was off, that is when I mainly seen disconnect/reconnect thing.
1) Do you have Samsung Switch app installed on your Win 10 PC? If you do, then try uninstalling it. If you don't have it, install it. Could be driver conflict too
2) Try different USB ports on your PC
3) See if you have USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports(try them all)
4) When you connect your phone to the PC, pull down notification shade on your phone and see if you can choose different USB options, that might help too
