Hi,
I try to install your application and driver. I follow it step by step till I finish to install first 2 file. But I struck on step to setting in control panel. I can not find "Game Devices" on my Windows 7 control panel. Could you suggest? I try to run last file (Gsensor). It pop up error that missing driver PPjoyIO.sys (if I'm not remember it wrong). Could you advice how to solve this problem. Thank in advance

you must install it in xp compatibility mode

Ok tested so far so good joystick is working!
I also have irotate (winxp) video is rotating as yours!
Does it is supported under Win7 too?
Definitly recommended to all shift users!

I can't install "GSensorR" on win 7 home premium

I'll give you my feedback everything works good but Gsensor is craching every time I resume from hibernation.
And I cannot make it run on windows 7.

Thanks for this excellent app! It's running fine on my Windows 7 installation, I just set it to XP compatibility mode during the installation process.
I got it working with WinUAE (Amiga Emulator) aswell

I just used Google Translate to translate the guide into english and followed it to the point:

I set all three files to XP compatibility mode before running them though.

Ok it works! Thanks pptan and khals! One question: how can I rotate screen in windows 7? Is it impossible?

Rotation for ours Intel GMA is disabled in windows 7 env. , I still need to understand if this lock is on drivers or Windows 7 registry.
Once unlocked it will work same as XP.
If some other is trying this please let us know here about some progress.
My actual test driver is 8.14.10.1930 on win7 ultimate

Does it work for Vista?

is there any way to run Gsensor.exe with rotation enabled first not joystick?

not for the moment.
dlportio and ppjoy, both installed with no probs with winxp compatibility and as administrator.
virtual joy shows up in properties.
unfortunately try running gsensor-r brings up an error:
run-time error '6':
overflow
does anyone knows a way around this?

No that didn't work.
I guess the problem is Vista... as always!

Rooting Note on Mac?

New to the site, so sorry in advance if this has been covered. Just wondering if anyone has rooted their Note using a Mac? I have not been able to find any info. regarding this matter. Any info. or tutorials would be greatly appreciated.

Just set up a virtual machine of Windows. For example you can use VMWare oder Parellels or the free one, VirtualBox!
Then you can root you note on you Mac, but just in the virtual machine.
I always used this method, and it works well...

- Extract on PC
- Confirm you have installed driver on PC (Kies will do it)
- Enable unknown sources in setting - application on device.
- Enable USB debugging in setting - application - development on device
- For Mac, double-click and run runmemac.sh. Or you might have to run it in terminal like this:
sh runmemac.sh
-For Linux, double-click and run runmelinux.sh. Or you might have to run it in terminal like this:
sh runmelinux.sh
Connect device N run script
Device should rebooted N you can confirm it by working superuser application on device.

I use a macbook, but because of all the stuff I do that requires windows I just installed bootcamp to dual boot. It's extremely worth it in the long run

basically it was corrupted, i have updated main post (How to root) couple of days back

Thx for all the help. In your instructions why does it say say to extract to a PC if its MAC or do I skip that step? Sorry for the dumb questions, but I'm new to this whole android thing. ALso, is it really worth me rooting my device?

it is a .zip must be extracted (pc, mac or linux it's the same)
for example with 7zip [7-zip.org/download.html]

I apparently have no clue how to do this. I've tried to do what the post said, but have had no luck.

this step is important
Confirm you have installed driver on PC (Kies will do it)
run the runmemac.sh in a terminal and post the error(s)

I think rooting the phone on windows is better than mac...

Are you expecting a driver letter to come up, because that's not how the X4 can be accessed through windows.
You have to select MTP usb operation and then a P880 device will be shown in explorer, right below your drives.

i've done it but no P880 device if debug not set.
I dont understand this.........
I've a 2X and there is no problem................
I try to install manually the driver...................

If you are using Windows 8 or Windows 8.1 just google "Disabling Driver Signature on Windows 8" and click on the first link (I still can't post outside links so you will have to google it)

I am running Windows XP, I just formatted my pc before it was working fine

to install the drivers you must have administrator privileges on your user account

You must disabled signature driver..
start->run-> type gpedit.msc
• go to User Configuration->Administrative Templates-> System
• on the right side appears code signing for device drivers
• Double click and in the window that appears choose Enabled
• in the pull-down menu below select ignore
• Give OK and reboot your pc

I made! and I already said lai! had to just look at the first post! flashtool does not recognize and cannot press start!

I did everything but still the problem of USB and may not start pressing for download mode and ativ s unrecognized ... there he has another solution?

try doing this attempt:
Uninstall existing samsung drivers
start->run->Type-> "verifier"->when opening the Driver Verifier Manager program choose the 3 option->reboot your pc-> reinstall usb drivers samsung again
in this way you should completely disable unsigned driver tracking

hiow did u do it im keep getting stuck at were u have to enable test mode for divers but the uefi drive dose not let me acces it and help would be greatful thanks my phone is mix2s

It's been a while since my installation, and frankly I don't remember much about it. Describe your problem in more detail. Rather, you've definitely made a mistake.

So my problem is i do all the steps in the guide were I get stuck is at the part were u have to do the bcdedit for the test mode to trun its one of the last steps be for u can boot up windows like i made the esp partition correctly like I use parted on the computer format both like resized the partition the user data partition made the windows partition and then the ESP partition and then after that part I do the Windows installation where you you know do the install that when thing then the drivers and then before the drivers you have to do that BCD edit for the for the boot files and then like every time I try to open the EFI partition like double click on it with a mouse it says something about security that I don't have permissions and then I try to left click go to properties and then there's no security Tab the uefi partition just wont let me acces it at all I just dint now what step im doing wrong thanks for the reply

Did touch screen work on mi mix 2s cuz i got windows to load but touch dose not work I installed all the divers i dont if its cuz i didnt flash that devcfg file i just did now im redeploying window's and its drivers

I was able to get it I have it fully working

Thanks man the only thing I have a issues with is pluging usb mouse and key bord do u now if there is any way to fix that. Its ok it tought me alot wen trying to install windows on it tho

Unfortunately there is no OTG support for our phone, for the time being you can forget about it. It's also impossible to transfer video with a USB-C cable. Currently, this Windows is such more of a curiosity than a useful system

Do u have usb working I think i was useing tue wrong boot loader or something cuz the newer bootloader works really well with usb there is a way to get usb c to displayed to a monitor i seen. It on telegram and I did fet usb to work its pretty usable for now just not sound yet this project is really dope tho u have to say

I also was wondering if there was a way to flash the boatloader to the phone so i dont have to keep pluging it in the computer

When trying to reboot to Windows it will eventually blue screen with the message : Stop Code: Driver PNP WATCHDOG. I read thats because I have not flashed the file : http://files.renegade-project.org/devcfg-polaris_FixTS.img
When I try I get the below:

Assume the Warning is the problem, I tried resetting everything to stock with the mi flash tool. This was great for my Chinese language skills but the warning still shows when I try to flash.
other laptop, different cable, same thing.
Any advice ?
