I have a Pioneer AvidD3 so I'm not sure exactly how hoda's system works... but with my system, i had to make sure it was in "phonebook transfer mode" before I could send my contcts; otherwise I got the same error.
hope this helps!
Success
I was able to import my entire Tilt phonebook into the Navi system on my MDX. From there, I can transfer any entry to the Handsfree link or just place the call from the Navi system.

Are your entries on your sim card (just the phone number) or in the main phonebook memory (can you see the whole contact info including address and multiple phone numbers)? The reason I ask is the impression I had is the contacts sent over could only be the simple kind with just the name and 1 number.
I hope you have the numbers in main phonebook memory as I would love to get this working in my TL.
Also, did you use the jetware software? If so, would you mind letting us know in detail what you did as I'm still unsucessful.
Doesn't SAPsettings do this? I have it on my vario III and the phonebook downloads to my car (VW bluetooth kit) OK.

SAP settings would only enable you to access phonebook enterys that are on the sim card. I want to be able to get the actual outlook contacts. Just wondering if that is possible.
Oh, well I have no contacts on my SIM and my car display shows all my outlook contacts. Maybe it's accessing them through a different route. It just worked out of the box for me.
I have a Verizon XV6800 and a Acura TL and I have been trying to figure this out also. I have tried using the Jetware program but didnt get any where with it.
Please, if you figure this out PM me or shot me a email at [email protected] and let me know how you did it.
Thanks
Bud

Hi
Did you use the jetware program? Did you some how set the nav on your MDX in some kind of "phonebook transfer mode"? If so what did you do on the Acura Nav to do this?
Thanks
Bud

I tried again today both with and without the Jetware bluetooth extension. Tried multiple settings... no luck. Everytime I press phonebook import, it says the currently linked phone does not support this function. Any one with any suggestions?
(I have the AT&T Tilt and a 2007 Acura TL with Nav)
Do you have SAPSettings in settings->system?
If not, maybe find a cab for it and give it a go. Sounds like you've hit a brick wall anyway.
Aside from that maybe it's a difference at the car end. Mine is a SEAT (don't think they're sold in the US but think VW) and works out of the box.

I have a Pioneer deck as well and I have been looking for a way to do this. I didn't think it was possible. Should have known better! Going to try it out later tonight!
Hi ppl,
I don't know if this is the right place for this, but I've already googled a lot and found nothing about. I've a Slingbox Solo, and I need to program it to recognize a remote from my new Internet+TV+VOIP provider, Vodafone Portugal. I wasn't able to find nothing on the web until now.
But, I was able to program the HTC One TV app to read the remotes and control the set op boxes
Now I have to find a way to convert the ir_data that I've found on a SQLite file on the phone to a JP1 format that Slingbox recognizes.
Does anyone knows what I'm talking about and can help me with this? I will be very, very happy
Regards,
Zé

There is a nice forum here I'm sure you can find your answer in. This question is a little off-topic here.
Hello All,
Sorry for posting here but as a newbie it seems I'm not yet allowed to post in the MTCD sub-forum.
I have a Hualingan HLA-8818 Android 5.1 head unit which is a standard MTCD unit running on a PX3 platform with 1GB RAM, 16GB ROM and 1024x600 touch screen. This unit is also identical (aside from a slightly changed front bezel) with the HLA-8721, HLA-8795 and HLA-8796. Hualingan initially sold these units with Android 5.1, later Android 6.0 and now Android 7.
I'd love to link to the manufacturer page for the HLA-8818 but as newbie it seems posting a link is also not allowed Hualingan has an URL which has 'dvdplayer' in its title, it's one of the first hits if you search for Hualingan HLA-8818.
The hardware itself is of surprisingly good build quality (much better than others like Erisin), however the software side could use some improvement. One problem is that the display content is over-scaled, i.e. the boarder of the screen content goes beyond the physical border of the display. That also means that touch points are no longer aligned with buttons. Also, the primitive media player in the stock image can't even deal with playlists. So I was contemplating installing Malaysk's MTCD ROM on my unit. However, after reading various threads and trying things I'm stuck and need some help.
I didn't just try to install Malaysk's ROM via the update function in settings as I'd like to have a backup of the stock firmware just in case and I couldn't find a download source.
Does anyone know how to get into Recovery with these units?

I asked Hualingan this week for a updated Rom and mcu and got them today. Ask them for your system. Go to the website and talk with them online or sent a email. Give them the exact building number of your system.
Wow this is some good info. Do you know your System Password? I am really trying hard to get it..
Cant find in anywhere..
In the meantime I also asked them!
How do you like your new Rom?
Thanks!
hi there
I hope to be in the right section.
I would like to ask some things about my unit xtrons pc78rvt specific for rav4 with MCU T5.3.19-36-30-E53201-181229
I have read that it is possible to perform updates to factory programs such as the music part which is rather poor.
perform upgrades in the interface as for example the launcher and so on.
but in the MCU section I did not find what I have ...
thank you for the answers
