Someone managed to run hi-res at DAC? I could only at CPU. Imho hi-fi mode cut at 48kgz

Usb-C to 3.5mm Audio Jack
Hi! anyone have an adapter to listen music by this cable?
if someone is using one please have us a review
I want to know if the quality of the music is better than 3.5mm jack audio output.
what about .flac audio format? they sound better with this adapter ?
I test audio with Sony.
* MDR-XB500
* MDR-XB90EX
do u mean, 3.5mm to USB-C b/c if u connect a usb c to headphone jack, the quality will not improve, maybe 3.5mm to usb-c, but i don't think the OP3 supports usb audio, i had tried to get a DAC for my oneplus one and usb instead of the 3.5mm jack but it was mono so it did not sounds good and no separation, i would like to find something better too b/c i put a lot into my car audio but i don't listen CDs, i may go with an Android Auto Headunit b/c those should support usb c audio without mono, currently i am using a HTC One M8 with Viper and Dolby Atmos and it sounds pretty good
u may not be able to tell much but here is a video i made to test SQ, this is a flac file

I Saw this v?*deo,
and he use LeEco earphones, and works ....
with a port converter it won't sound any better because you're still getting an analog signal from the phone's dac just being fed out the usb-c port rather than the headphone port. Now if you have some digital usb headphones with their own DAC pulling a digital signal from the port then you could have better sound but only because the headphones' dac is likely more suited to that exact pair of headphones though the OP3's DAC is pretty decent imo compared to other phones I've had.
Does anyone know of a single input, single set of outputs, 5.1 Dolby Digital/DTS decoder that actually works with the Chromecast?
I'm using a Chromecast in an outdoor theater setup, with it plugged into this "extractor":
http://a.co/d/7m2UFHS
with the extractor's HDMI output plugged into a projector HDMI input. I have the extractor's front L/R, center, surround L/R RCA outputs running to an amp, with the amp's outputs connected to the five speakers.
Trouble is, the extractor doesn't actually appear to do anything to produce audio going out the center or surround outputs. I assumed it decoded the DD/DTS audio signal so the 5 channels would be separated into the corresponding RCA outputs. Otherwise, I have no idea how those outputs can ever get sound going out of them.
My two uses for the chromecast are Netflix and casting video files from my computer via VLC player. The files are mostly mkv with 5.1 AC3 audio.
PowerAmp and Neutron show selectable options for Hi-Res audio,so I assume that the device is capable for Hi-Res output.
The Red Magic 3 also supports DTS:X/DTS 7.1 and 3D Sound technologies out of the box.
However, unlike with the ZTE Axon 7 release, there's nothing to find on the www about the Magic 3 having a seperate DAC for it's advanced audio stuff....
Does anyone knows if the device has a dedicated auidio DAC ?
you can enable DTS when headset connected, under sound effects

yes
That setting is not available on the EU rom......but anyway, also the Chinese rom doesn't show if there's a seperate DAC for Hi-Res audio...
From what I can tell it has an amazing headphone amp and is using the stock Qualcomm dac.
If only the stock Qualcomm DAC is used for audio processing,Qualcomm did a great job with this little piece of hardware,as the sound quality is outstanding, even when compared to my Axon 7......
I've written to support asking that same question, will come back here if and when I get an answer.
I have been using Neutron and Poweramp players for audio listening. Testing between the two, both of the players have 192kHz/24bit playback for PCM. I wanted to check if the 660 snap allows 192+ and the volume dropped drastically when i chose 352.8 or 384(see the attachment below). This confirms that snapdragon 660 has its limit which is 192kHz. I was doing some digging on the snapdragon 660 audio dac for listening. This is what I have found from their website.
https://www.qualcomm.com/products/snapdragon-660-mobile-platform (see attachment below)
https://www.qualcomm.com/products/wcd9335 (see attachment below)
Audio Playback (WCD9335)
Playback Dynamic Range: 130dB
Total Harmonic Distortion + Noise (THD+N), Playback: -109dB
Sampling, Playback: 44.1kHz, 48kHz
PCM, Playback: Up to 192kHz/24bit
Speaker Playback (WSA881x) (not interested in the speaker amp)
Not many phones support my in-ear headphone P1 Pinnacle by Mee audio because it has impedance of 50Ω. It is difficult to drive those drivers in the headphone. Surprisingly I found redmi note 7 is playing it without trouble. Having said that I'm waiting for a type C to micro usb OTG cable to arrive to test the difference with a dedicated mobile amp + dac. Do you guys have any links that can help to find the actual audio output of redmi note 7 device like some graphs or real life testing through the 3.5mm jack? I'm wondering if i will need the mobile dac+amp at all.

Real life data reflects that it has good integrated dac and amp. However I would like to know more from audio experts here. By the way I found some articles regarding OEM disables the high quality of the dac and amp to save power by default. Now i need to understand if my neutron or poweramp can detect those. Any help would be appreciated.
Interesting, thanks for the info

I have a Nex 3S 5g. Vivo phones since android 10 got rid of system audio effects and is messing up the hi-res compatibility with Poweramp.
In Poweramp, hi-fi mode turns on automatically only through OpenSL and AudioTrack outputs, however that locks the audio at 16 bit 48 khz which isn't what I want.
In order for Hi-Res output to turn on hi-fi mode, I need to first switch to AudioTrack then switch back to Hi-Res. However the issue is that any change in audio focus--opening another app, even if the app is muted--will turn off (unload) the hi-fi mode. And also the audio is still stuck at 16 bit instead of 24 for some reason.
Is there any way to fix this, to allow Poweramp Hi-Res output be compatible with Vivo's hi-fi DAC? Alternatively, is there any way to bring back system sound effects?
