Intrusive network connections - Huawei P20 Pro Questions & Answers

I used a network analysing app and found that my phone (Huawei P20 Pro) has some connections that I'm concerned about.
Here's what comes up (I've taken out my IP address).

It is under the "UDP4" section.
This meetcircle.co website is just a website that shows the word "hello".
A DNS checks says it's the same people as meetcircle.com which is a parental control device for routers with app capabilities etc.
I haven't installed any software on my phone to do with this, and I would be very surprised if someone has physically done it without me noticing. If I haven't installed anything on my phone surely these connections wouldn't show up?
The IP addresses shown on Local are my phone and localhost. The address shown on Remote (0.0.0.0 at the top) means that anybody can connect, right? Or have I got that wrong.
The Firefox connections only appear when I open Firefox.
Anyway, I have some but limited knowledge on these kind of things. Any advice, feedback, or suggestions on how to further investigate these connections would be appreciated.

Do you have an ad blocker?
Could be that routing ads somewhere else.
The IP if that's what the 0.0.0.0.0 is not a valid IP, could be a DNS, Google's is 1.1.1.1.1
May also be an app or apps, bare in mind what your phone actually is, there's a tonne of apps with internet permission allowed as soon as they're installed.
Remove an app, maybe your ad blocker if you have one then recheck.
Try a different network too ie: 4G

Just FYI, 1.1.1.1 DNS is owned by Cloudflare, Google owns 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.
In networking 0.0.0.0 is usually used to mark the world wide web (the internet).
P.S. I know this reply doesn't help the OP much.

I had a brain fart I used 1.1.1.1 instead of Google's.
Corrected, cheers.

Internet problems driving me bonkers

I have Hyperdragon IV IOLite on my at&t tilt with radio 1.65.21.18. I am having troubling getting a solid internet connection though. My current settings:
Name: Media Net
Modem: Cellular Line (GPRS, 3G)
Access point: wap.cingular
Username/password/domain - blank
Advanced: user server assigned IP, use IP header compression, use specific server addresses - 4.2.2.1, 4.2.2.2
When I turn on my data connection it looks like it makes a successfully connection, but when I load up PIE and try to get to google it just sits on 'Locating...' and eventually times out with "The page cannot be found. Check the name and try again."
Did I miss a setting somewhere? I don't think I've got a proxy set anywhere. Skyfire also fails to load and minimo isn't working either.
ETA: I can make/receive calls, and send/recieve SMS and MMS messages. Just the internets are failing me!
look for the att settings cab file and run that. This will insure that you have all the right settings, also you might want to uncheck the proxy, where ever that is.
Lordy, I finally found that old AT&T internet settings thread. Someone should really add this info to the AT&T Wiki:
Connects to: The Internet
Access point: wap.cingular
Username: [email protected]
Password: CINGULAR1
Primary DNS: 0.0.0.0
Secondary DNS: 0.0.0.0
IP address: (blank)

[reference/discussion] SaskTel APN Settings for HTC One

Hey all,
I picked up an HTC One on SaskTel last week. I noticed that when I work out of town (in range of only one or two cell towers) my reception just sucked. I was seeing some bizzare behaviour where Exchange, Gmail, Play Store and most Google services would refuse to sync - there would be timeouts and "sync is experiencing problems" errors. Other apps like Google Chrome and reddit is fun worked perfectly. Very frustrating.
I started Googling and playing with APN settings. I think I've found a combination that works, although I couldn't tell you why... but now I don't get any problems at all.
Anyway, if you're having problems on SaskTel with any Android smartphone, maybe give these settings a try.
Code:
APN - proxy.stm.sk.ca
Proxy - mig.sasktel.com
Port - 8080
Username - (not set)
Password - (not set)
Server - (not set)
MMSC - http://mms.sasktel.com
MMS proxy - mig.sasktel.com
MMS port - 8080
MMS protocol - WAP 2.0
MMC - 302
MNC - 780
Authentication Type - "PAP or CHAP"
APN Type - * (enter the "*" character in the field)
APM protocol - IPv4
Network mode - GSM / WCDMA / LTE Auto
I'm hoping someone stumbles across this with a search and finds it useful!
Thanks very much for this bit of info.. I've been having the same problem as you and the info provided on sasktels' Facebook page didn't provide me with a resolution.. This is what they had suggested for settings:
"There is a confirmed issue with some HTC devices and the Google Play Store.
This issue can be resolved by creating an APN with the Proxy setting remaining blank.
APN Settings can be found: Settings > Mobile Network > Access Point Names > Menu (top right) > New APN.
Name: Internet2
APN: pda.stm.sk.ca
Proxy: <>
Port: 80
Username: << not set >>
Password: << not set >>
Server: << not set >>
MMSC: mms.sasktel.com
MMS Proxy: mig.sasktel.com
MMS Port: 80
MMS protocol: WAP 2.0 (DO NOT EDIT)
MCC: 302 (DO NOT EDIT)
MNC: 780 (DO NOT EDIT)
Authentication type: not set
APN Type: .
APN enable/disable: checked
If you have any other questions or concerns regarding this issue, please contact our wireless support desk at 1-800-667-6870 ^DB"
these did not work but yours did.. again a big thanks!

I'm really glad this helped you out! To be honest I was not sure if my APN settings fixed my problem, or if it was the unlocking/rooting stuff I was doing. Good to get the confirmation this works.
Holy. I'm so glad I'm not the only one. I was ripping my hair out over this. I found inet.stm.sk.ca to work better than pda. Haven't tried proxy.
Though this issue appears to be fixed on sasktel's end now.
