Nice try man! Ok, did you try to update b311 using ffinder, or just with beta program? Now, I see that they remove beta b311 from ffinder...
Also, just keep it in mind that Emui 8 change some partitions including recovery sectors. So, we dont have Twrp for emui 8 for our models, and its big posibillity to stuck on some beta emui 8 lets say Al00C00 without any chance to rollback to Emui 5 and destroy partitions, brick your phone trying that. Just wait for custom recovery for Emui 8 for Kirin 658, after that u can do some experiments ?
Regards.

new tests.
Too bad, I tried DC-Phoenix V50 with 15 credits.
to install b331-log, after having restarted the installation 4 or 5 times, he finished installing it completely. I wonder how dc-phoenix can create a new partition.
and that on xda, there is no dev that could create an equivallent toolkit.
But, the p9 lite remains on a black screen, the volume and power buttons do not respond anymore.
no led lights up. But it still remains recognized in fastboot mode.
so, I can always go back to a clean device.
Hi,
As per the title. I want to rebrand my UK P20 Pro to the EU version and hopefully some day enable dual sim. But just want the more frequent updates for now.
I have my bootloader unlock code.
I intend to follow dladz guide here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/hu...to-root-debrand-remove-retail-t3788326/page16
I intend to download the CLT-L29 8.1.0.161 (C432) FullOTA-MF update from Firmware Finder.
1. Is it ok to proceed considering the guide is for .120 and I am on .133?
2. Can I use all the files in the guide, magisk, oeminfo etc but substitute the update*.zip's with the firmware I download from FF?
I am pretty new to this and have read and read the various posts, but just want to get some clear advice as to whether it is ok to proceed as I really don't want to brick my phone!
Thanks
Yes, went the same route with my P 20 for the same reasons.
Went pretty much headache free.
The instructions seem similar to what I done.
You can use the new firmware available, I went for the most recent I found.
Cheers!
Thanks for your advice. Have succesfully completed the rebrand. Phew!
The final factory reset failed at 99% for some reason and then rebooted to the Huawei logo for ages. Eventually I rebooted the phone and it went fine. It did an OTA update to 161 too. So all looking good!
Hopefully at some point dual sim mode can be enabled and I'll be all set!
Cheers.
Glad to hear it worked!
What is the difference between C732 and C432. I had my P20 Prod back in April time, and it came as a C432. My son, got his yesterday and it is a C732

Im trying to download the files for rebrand my p20 pro but none of the links works!, can you please provide me another? im in clt-01c109-137 thanks!
i got my hands on a p30 pro live demo unit, i removed the live demo apps and then tried to install EMUI10 wich was pretty dumb because now the phone doesn't boot anymore. i've tried multiple versions and even tried renaming the different zip files to get a full flash but that doesn't work as the firmware is apparently incompatible. i've also tried to downgrade but also no luck... is there anything else that i can do?

As i've said it and on my dload firmware thread from where i guess you've get the firmwares or read about different methods of flashing, ATM there is NO firmware available for demo devices and ALSO the methods provided may or may not work on demo units. SO now just have to wait for a Huawei demo dload firmware or a breakthrough method of flashing retail firmwares on demo unit (untill now it didn't happen, but who knows what the future will bring?).

i'm affraid you know the answer. Beside waiting for a method of flashing a demo dload firmware or for a paid method (if there will be one or if someone allready done it can just reply here), you can change the device motherboard (will cost ~200-300$ depending on GSM service) and get a retail one or sell your device and get another phone (the same or from other OEM).

Hi m8,
It seems that your device has something corrupted in system files. You can redownload your firmware using erecovery. In order to do that, do as it says on my SS bellow. If you need more assistance, please let me know
Later edit: Because i don't know if you're on EMUI 9.1 or 10, i post you bellow settings for EMUI 10 (the ones in SS are for EMUI 9.1)
How to check and download using eRecovery on EMUI 10:
It doesn't require a cable plugged in and using this method WON'T wipe your phone data, it's acting like an normal OTA. In order to acces eRecovery, Power OFF your device or Restart it. Press then simultaneously POWER+VOLUME UP and keep them pressed untill you see Huawei on screen. Release the POWER button and keep pressing VOLUME UP untill you are in eRecovery menu, then release button. When in menu, select Update mode, then select eRecovery mode then Update and recover system then Download update and recover. Connect it to Wi-Fi and it should start the update. At the end, it will restart to system.

Hi m8,
1. You can try first time using the method i've mentioned first;
2. If it's not working, then you can use Fastboot (for info on how to, please check this post) to get info about cust & build version in order to flash a dload firmware (it's the Huawei firmware used in their service centers in order to revive softbricked phones or when they change motherboards) from my thread (again, info later if first step isn't working) ;
3. If it's password protected and has EMUI 9. 1 and it's FRP locked, you can try using some free methods to bypass FRP.

Can't see any info, you forgot to add them ?. If you do as i mentioned and if there is a dload firmware for your device, yes, you might revive it.
Later edit: in build version, i think it's stated WEC.... I need to know what it's the current device version. Do as i said on my post, the one using Fastboot and let me know.

OK m8, YES, i can help you revive your unit, BUT you need to do as following:
1. You will need an OTG adapter or OTG cable + a USB memory stick (at least 8GB exFat formatted) or a Huawei NM Card;
2. Download this firmware from here - https://androidhost.ru/Vyn . After you've downloaded, extract dload folder and rename ONLY those 2 files inside as following:
update_sd_cust_VOG-L29_hw_eu.zip to update_sd_cust_VOG-L29_hw_eea.zip
update_sd_preload_VOG-L29_hw_eu.zip to update_sd_preload_VOG-L29_hw_eea.zip
3. Proceed to flash the firmware as explained bellow:
Instructions on how to flash:
1a. - Upgrade with USB-OTG
- an OTG cable and an USB memory stick (8GB at least) formatted as ExFat (also you can use an USB drive + USB type C adapter like the ones from Samsung);
Open the .zip and extract the dload folder on the USB memory stick
- Turn off the phone
- Connect the USB memory stick with the OTG cable (or the Samsung adapter with the USB drive)
- Now press the three buttons at the same time: Volume UP & Volume DOWN + Power button
- Your phone will light up and vibrate, keep the buttons pressed and only when you see the blank screen and EMUI appears you will release the buttons. The flashing will start and lasts about 4-6 minutes. After flashing your phone will restart automatically.
OR
1b. Upgrade with Huawei NM Card
- extract the dload folder to your Nm card, then turn off your phone.
- press the three buttons at the same time: Volume UP & Volume DOWN + Power button
Your phone will light up and vibrate, keep the buttons pressed and only when you see the blank screen and EMUI appears you will release the buttons. The flashing will start and lasts about 4-6 minutes. After flashing your phone will restart automatically.
4. After you've flashed the firmware and phone restarted, connect it to PC, install HiSuite v10 and search for update. It should give you 2-3 updates, latest beeing EMUI 9.1.0.260. After latest update is done, do a FACTORY RESET of your phone and enjoy your device!
Let me know if you need more info!

Yes, you need to know the Google account password otherwise it will get (if not allready) FRP locked. You can unlock FRP for free using SAFE MODE (there are a lot of videos on Ytb about it) or if it's not working you can pay 10-18 $ to get it FRP unlocked (not to me, to an on-line service center - i can give in PM - that users used to get their phones working after FRP locked).

Hello everyone. I'm very disappointed at 10.1 update with camera results specially at nigh mode.. Yesterday night I roaled back to 10.0.0.175 version. I tested night mode on. Same scenario and there wasnt so much noise at 10.1 version... So I want to return at 10.0.0.185 or 180 update witch was best update for camera.. The problem is that version isn't available on huwawei pc suite.. I'm not rooted any solutions?
Thnk you all
step-by-step downgrade via HiSuite to 9.1.0.x and then step-by-step upgrade via OTA up to the necessary version of 10.0.x.x.

Ok, but why you didn`t roll back from 10.0.0.175 down to 9.1.0.x? When you press "Upgrade" in the HiSuite, there is an option "Other versions", you choose it, and there is a possibility to downgrade the FW. You downgrade step-by-step to 9.1.0.x, then start to uograde to 10.0.x.x. and stop when you find the suitable FW.

When you press "Upgrade" in the HiSuite, there is an option "Other versions", you choose it, and there is a possibility to downgrade the FW. You downgrade step-by-step to 9.1.0.x, then start to uograde to 10.0.x.x. and stop when you find the suitable FW.

Because I thought I was already fine on 10.0.0.175 to update on 10.0.0.185.. What was my mistake?
In this case, I do not know, maybe now the upgrade plan is different from the previous one, maybe they have now excluded some intermediate versions of FW ...

you can install it with locked bootloader. But after installation it will cause a hard reset and delete all information even in user part of memory. Backup your files.

I have no prob with reset. Just tell me this. Should roalback to 10.0.0.175 first and then update to 10.0.0.185 or just install 10.0.0.185 on 10.1.0.181?

You can`t install 10.0.x.x over the 10.1.x.x.
On the first step you have to downgrade to 10.0.0.175 via HiSuite, then you will be able to flash the 10.0.0.185, using this method ("HOW TO flash dload FW: ... UPGRADE USING OTG ADAPTER or OTG CABLE + USB MEMORY STICK")
