Accessibility menu (apps automatically turning "off") - Advice please. - Huawei P30 Pro Questions & Answers

Hi all,
There is an annoying issue occurring with the P30 Pro. There are a number of apps that I used, that require accessibility feature to be turned on (Settings -> Accessibility - Downloaded Services). It's almost every day that i'm having got turn "on" the app in question again - despite turning it on previously.
I'm scratching my head, and trying to trouble shot to why this is happening. I do use app cleaners, to clean App cache from phone - now and again (not daily).
Any ideas?

[APP] Wireless Power Chief needs some advanced testing!

Hi guys! We have had reports of the app having issues controlling the wifi scanner and background data schedules on some devices.
We really need testers with root (but its not necessary if you just want to test the wifi scanner).
You can get some info on the app below. But what we really need is some testing! You can download it for free and then try using the wifi scanner and intervals, as well as the background data schedules.
If you find your device has issues, click "Write to us" to send logs. Please make sure you describe which issues you have - scanner or background data!
Thanks very much!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Wireless Power Chief
Wireless Chief is an application designed to control the wifi and data radios in your device, as well as many related functions like background data and autosync.
It can be used to save power or minimize data usage, and works either by reading the screen state, the battery state or on a completely custom schedule.
All data and sync options require root access. There is no other may to manipulate the radios.
Features:
- Turn features on or off depending on screen state
- Disable wifi if no known network is available
- Change wifi scan intervals and scan attempts
- Schedule autosync and background data
- Force autosync on wifi only
- Disable wireless radio features according to battery level
- Watched active download state, disabling the service until a download completes
If you have any issues, please leave comments in this thread or better yet use the "Write to us" dialog in the application's settings.
Versions:
Locked: All Screen state options are free
Unlocked: Full functionality, including Battery and Scheduled profiles

sounds neat .. will give it a shot ...
Did you have a chance to test as described above?
I've purchased the app and have been testing it for a about a week with root access enabled.
Currently using only the screen profiles since working with multiple profiles enabled seems to overwrite my screen profile settings. It would be nice to have some more options like for example only using the scheduler settings when the screen is OFF, this way I could use both.
I'm currently having a lot of problems with the app though which is making it not as useful as it could be.
Biggest problem would probably be that the app loses focus after a while. It just stops working all together until I reopen the app, then it works fine again for a while before I have to repeat the procedure. Similar apps use a notification in the status bar to keep the app alive, maybe this could fix it?
Another big problem I've come across is some weird behavior with syncing. First I had my "Screen Off" profile set to "Sync Disabled" and "Screen On" "Sync Enabled". This would result in my phone starting to sync as soon as my screen would get turned on. I noticed similar behavior with setting it to "scheduled". So now I just disabled sync on all profiles because this is costing my almost as much battery as the app is saving.
I've also noticed some issues when I spent a long time configuring the settings. For example yesterday I was testing some different configurations. I then got to playing with the "Activation times" for enabling or disabling wifi/data and when I set it to 30 seconds it would still use the previously set 0 seconds value. I then cleared app data from Android application settings, set the value to 30 seconds again and it would work. This is a minor issue because I will probably just set these once and not fiddle around with it anymore.
I will continue testing for now but if the first 2 problems remain I will have to fall back to using Easy Battery Saver app. I would love to keep using the Chief though, I really like the concept.
I'm using a SGS2 running on CheckRom RevoHD6 (GB2.3.6), tried different kernels with similar results (stock, neak, redpill). Also wiped my phone and did a reinstall of CheckRom but also this didn't help.
If you need more details on my testing let me know.
Hello,
I bought this one hoping it would do what I wish... But now I am not quite sure.
I just want an application that toggles on/keeps it for a while/toggles off autosync in given periods. Yes, this program can do it but I am unable to prevent it to switch my Wifi on.
Wifi checkboxes are unchecked, only scheduled autosync state is set as I wish. But it keeps turning Wifi on while I am at home, I can't override it off manually.
Hi, I've just downloaded this, I'll try it out as much as I can tomorrow. Hopefully if this conserves battery well enough I'll want to keep this phone more

Just saw this app...looks like it may be making a comeback with some new developers. I just DL it and am in the process of testing it out... will post some results soon...

Stamina Mode not disabling Wifi?

So turned on stamina and have no apps in the exception list, it does not appear to be turning off my data nor my wifi when the screen is off? Also I often get an error Photo Analyzer has stopped working when i turn on the phone. How do i fix these issues? I am on newest stock firmware and am rooted.
Wifi and data is Just completly sleeped. Wifi dont drain battery when screen is locked +1 minute. Sorry for bad English.
Yes after a minute of screen off they are prevented from downloading/uploading data, which is the thing that drains battery, maintaining the connection means you typically get to use the internet immediate when you activate the phone again (no logging on etc.)
Why individual apps cause an error message isn’t really answerable – it happens from time to time, sometimes the app’s developers have made a mistake with an update, sometimes if you restore an app from a back up it doesn’t install properly, there are many other reasons too. Try clearing the data in the app, try re-installing it, try clearing the cache and the dalvik cache, try fixing permissions.
I’ve found clearing the data works the most often, not always – I usually get app errors like this after installing a mod/rom.

Bluetooth is Only Battery Drain with Bluetooth Disabled

I disabled Bluetooth for a few hours today, and I'm still getting Bluetooth as the only power consumption. Anyone have any ideas? I've already re-paired and rebooted.
BLUETOOTH hidden battery drain
Hidden Bluetooth battery drain:
In my case, I discovered that I could solve the problem(at least temporarily) by going to developer options-->view running processes--> show system apps -->Bluetooth----end 'G.A.T.T. ' process.
Usually that's enough, but,
If it seems to pop up again but no longer populates the process list, I also force stop it in the app manager and take away it's permission to change system settings
Hope this helps someone
My is even worse! 109% BT usage!
I'll try your suggestion.
I can't find "view running processes" in the developer menu.
It is labeled Running Services
Then choose BlueTooth Share and Gatt
Although I haven't seen a significant change since disabling it. I will continue to test.
"Running services" isn't visible on my developer options menu
I have the same issue. And I also don't have a running services under developer options.
i don't find running services?? in developer menu help!

(lack of) notifications

So I had this before and eventually sorted it..... But now I'm back to delayed notifications a lot of the time if screen is off, usually until I open the app in the case of WhatsApp for example.
I have:
Gone through all notification settings, even enabling "priority notifications" app by app,
ensured data always on is enabled
Even used adb to disable power genie and yet I out my phone down for half hour, come back open WhatsApp bingbingbing messages come through.
I'm on 9.0.0.236
Anyone actually found a working solution to this.
Did read someone was told by Huawei to do "reset all settings" but that's seems a tad counterproductive aswell as a pain in the ass

So got it down to being a issue with closing apps in sleep as WiFi stays on, but after phone is left for 15 minutes or so got mate to WhatsApp me and only one tick until I opened app.
How can this be possible when I've gone through every conceivable power saving/battery/app control option I can find or mentioned online?
Must be a fix for this, can't just be every Huawei owner accepts no notifications lol

Reset all settings should bring the notifications back. Not factory reset just the settings! Worked for me!
Tried that, it continued, however at work today while in mobile data didn't seem to have any issues, may have been as I have a widget running for music all day that has a one hour timeout before it closes. Maybe keeps device from deep sleep?
As usual Huawei forums no help at all. Lots of people with a problem and Huawei dancing round the issue

Try to enable/disable Wi-Fi+, it works good for me, but I saw people complaining about it.
Settings -> Wireless & networks -> Wi-Fi -> 3 dots at the top right corner -> Settings -> Wi-Fi+
System power saving settings:
Settings -> Battery -> App launch -> Disable "Automatic management" for apps you like.
Settings -> Battery -> More battery settings -> Enable "Stay connected when device sleeps".
Data saving settings:
Settings -> Wireless & networks -> Data usage -> Data Saver -> Disable
Already done all those and more apart from wifi+ that's not an issue. It seems to be on both WiFi and mobile data. Possibly been a bit better now but hard to say if it's it's not just down to using a music app at work that's always awake, maybe preventing deep sleep.
Or just hauwei firmware takes a few days to learn regular apps to allow notifications in some super hidden menu as I have only recently forced a downgrade and rebrand of my device. Remember it did this first time I updated to pie but seemed to sort itself out

finally found someone that have same issues for 6 months!
access the *#*#426#*#* click the dots advance, click events
if there is Close err:28 things then we have same problem in wifi only,
and in advance there should be Heartbeat waiting ack alarm with minus number bug
Im on Mate 20 Pro, done anything only GCM Fix Notification on Google Play Store can fix this temporary, or switch mobile network
or just Buy another phone
This issue hasn't shown its face since 9.0.0.168 for me. Even then it was only for a few days after update. It was over zealous power and data management underneath emui

Weird issue with notifications

Hi all wondering if anyone has experienced this or know how to fix it but i've been having weird issues with notifications and updating/installing apps.
What's happening is randomly my phone will stop receiving all notifications from any app until i manually open a app and then it realizes that i've missed a bunch of messages.
Above is the main issue although it seems to be linked with play store somehow cause when the issue is happening apps will stall while installing at 99% until the phone is restarted at which point all the issues are fixed for a period of time before it happens again.
I've tried:
- Factory resetting the phone
- DND is not on
- Battery optimization is turned off (including all relevant modes)
- Power mode is set to high performance
- Removing google account and adding it again
- Clearing cache and storage for play store
Any help will be amazing..
Android Police had an article about that recently. Bug in Play Store, should be fixed by now.
I've always had this issue, cannot get app notification counters to work
