After 2.5 years of using this great piece of hardware, I've moved on and got myself a Moto G.
During those years, I've dropped my Mi410 multiple times, drenched it in rain and manhandled it in many ways, but it never complained and always went strong. The only time I had to use another phone was when I had messed up a flashing and soft bricked it. After Spice service centre returned it without repairing, I, with the help of this great community and some crazy experimentations got it back to life.
Also, I've been using it without a screen guard for almost 2 years and not even a single scratch on its glass. Truly amazing and it makes me wonder if all this hype about Gorilla glass is artificial. So hats off to Foxconn and all other parties involved in the hardware. It's a pity that such great hardware doesn't get the success it deserves because of lack of software support. But thanks to XDA, we could enjoy a large variety of Roms (especially MiUi )and made it a pleasure to use the phone. I was hopeful of a KK update for a while, but then decided to move on to another VFM phone.
So thanks to TjStyle and all other devs and users for sharing their work. I'll keep checking back for a KK update. Hope to see some familiar faces in Moto G forum
Congrats for Moto g.

Re: Motorola Moto g 2014 bricked phones
Hi everyone. I check this forum regularly and every day almost without fail someone posts "Moto g 2nd gen phone bricked. " I am no expert in this field but it seems to me that there are 3 major problems here : 1. Bricked phones as a result of a firmware downgrade (corrupted bootloader). 2. Bricked phones during an official firmware up grade and 3. Bricked phones as a result of battery discharge less than 5%. Motorola wants to take no responsibility for downgrades as they claim they "Don't support and never have supported downgrades". Now it seems to me that this is a complete lack of responsibility on their part and bad customer service. In the 1st case of downgrades not everyone who wants to downgrade has an unlocked bootloader. People have beed ask (begging) for a the blank-flash-qboot files to fix their phones and thus far there hasn't been any REAL response from anyone. People keep re posting the same Moto g 1st gen blank flash files which are useless for the Moto g 2nd gen. Someone has even stated a petition to force Motorola to release these files.
On the second and third points there are obviously bugs/glitches somewhere causing these problems. Motorola should take heed and address theses issues or they will lose faithful users to other brands of which there many.
Not sure Lenovo is going to do anything much with the Moto line, as far as support goes anyway. I have a feeling they're merely using the Moto tech to come up with a new generation of cheaper Lenovo phones that won't have that much in common with Moto.

Yes you are probably right...I think it's quite pathetic that a company like Lenovo acquires another company and takes no responsibly for the users/buyers whom they have also "acquired" as part of the package Anyway thnks for your input.
+4 major problem - flash chip (eMMC) failure. It happens pretty often especially on G Gen2. Phone doesn't go past logo, hanging at fastboot.

I think they already lost a couple of users. They don't give a f/ck about anything, they have the worst customer support. I never had a phone before which would hard brick due to installing an OTA update while the phone is on newer bootloader.

What is the point of bumping this stupid thread?
The OP mentions 'Someone has even stated a petition to force Motorola to release these files. ' which is quite funny. Good luck with that petition, I personally never saw such petition actually achieving anything.

ok.
my xt1069 brick after donwgrade and upgrade ota
i buy a new motherboard, changed by myself and work..
is a plausible solution, better that buy a new phone.
but, anyway i never buy a new 'moto' / 'lenovo' phone
this support for 'developers' is terrible.
i see various lg G (same snapdragon) unbrick because then dont have a 'auth key' for flash bootloader.

Yep, I think we havee better developers here on xda like luca and Luk than motorola(lenovo) has.
Almost on all the Motorola devices we see are having the new ported camera and several other apps from the Moto G4 plus but Cant ghost get it too?
Maybe for any custom ROM like cm13,aosp,etc...
Thanks for support and help in advance!
Hi,
My name Eddy, come from Indonesia. I'm using realme X as a daily driver until now, so looking up to this great forum for my alternate OS to update my realme X stock.
Otherwise, to fire up my geeky hobby like the old day, in the age of 4G LTE rising and Android more popular than Blackberry.
Thank you and nice to join here again.
