Is Stadia supported in Asus Rog 2 ? - ASUS ROG Phone II Questions & Answers

Hi everyone,
I came across an article which states that PUBG has been made free in Google Stadia. I also read an XDA-Developer article that Stadia will be preloaded with next Asus ROG Phone. I want to know whether I can use the Stadia in my existing ROG Phone and enjoy the free PUBG.

Hello!
Stadia official availability depends on your country. Only 11 countries are supported as of now, mostly from Europe.
Both ROG Phone and ROG Phone II have official support for Google Stadia. Two options are available:-
1. Base Edition (Free-Trial)
2. Pro Edition (Access to Premium Titles and added benefits) [Check the pricing on Google Stadia website]
Touch Controls are expected to arrive soon. For now, you can use an Xbox Controller or a PS4 Dual Shock to play the games. Some have reported that other controllers worked fine too.
I live in India, a country not supported on Stadia yet. However, I managed to use a VPN to get through the registration process and stall the Stadia App on my ROG Phone II. Albeit I am currently finding some work-around to play the games using the Base Tier, it seems a high-speed internet connection and dedicated IP could do the trick.
As for PUBG, it is still being sold €29.99 as I can see on my Stadia app. (Exact price may vary)
Hope this is useful. Thank You!

Honor play deal breakers

Does this phone have any issues that are considered a deal breaker? Specs wise I've seen it's more than capable for it's price range. However, After I've done some reading on the forums here I noticed people reporting many issues after the pie update such as battery drains and performance drops also the inability to stream hd content. I would very much appreciate it if owners of the device would advise with or against purchasing this device
It depends on what price you're getting the device and the alternatives in the same price range. Tell me these and then I'll advice you.

i would stay away from honor play and honor brand in general reasons: 3rd party launchers don't work well ; they disabled hdr processing rendering google camera mods useless ; widevine l3 after pie update ; in-app and ui performance is bad after update ; cannot be rooted i would look at poco f1 if its available in your country

Well I had several options in mind including the Oppo F9 , Honor 10 and Poco F1. However, the F1 seems to be unavailable in my country. Specs wise the honor play seemed like it offered the best value for price. However I can still affford a slightly pricier device.

Well I don't really use 3rd party launchers so that wouldn't bother me. Yet I'm a heavy user of netflix so L1 would br crucial to me. I have thought of the poco f1 however it seems to be only available through online stores (Souq.com through Egypt) but that would be my last resort as it's not really favourable buying smartphones online in egypt since international warranties are not supported here. I would very much appreciate alternatives at the same price range or slightly pricier

Other phones that have call record featureI

I'm a Rog 2 512 gig WW owner bought in Baltics/Scandinavia via local Telco operator. Also Asus Max pro M2 owner it doesn't have the record feature like the Rog 2. There are no apps that I know of with this as an unrooted phone that doesn't crash regularly. Ive looked at one Plus 7 , S10 plus and S10 Note for this built in feature with no luck. Asking the forum for some answers or suggestions thx in advance.

The original Rog phone which I own also has this feature 2. It's one of the reasons I love the ROG series phones, I think other Chinese brands have this feature too like Xiaomi devices, I have heard in some regions Samsung devices come with built in recorder like in India.

Gamepad compatible with Fortnite Android?

Hi to all. Just upgraded to Mi Note 10 from old Mi4.
I downloaded Fortnite but it's real hard to use with touch. I'm searching about a compatible controller but i''m a bit confused.
I have a Nintendo Switch too.. so i'm searching a solution that work in both scenario.
After too many test these are results:
- i connected Nintendo Joy-Con using Mi note 10 Bluetooth. Both devices pair without any problem. However.. no response in the game. Randomly something happen clicking all button. Unusable.
- i bought a Maegoo Controller on Amazon. It work OK with Nintendo Switch but with Mi Note 10 i can only pair but ...again ... no response. Downloaded some Gamepad test app on playstore... nothing to do.
- Found on the web some info about Nintendo PRO Controller. It seems that supported from Android 10. I want to know if anyone have tested it with Mi note 10. However i read that Android10 just now released so... if really support Controller PRO... would be a perfect solution for me.
At the end... Epic FAQ says:
Yes. On Android, we support most Bluetooth controller adapters, such as:
Steelseries Stratus XL
Gamevice
Sony DualShock 4 Wireless Controller (Android OS 10 or newer)
Xbox Wireless Controller
Razer Raiju Mobile
Razer Junglecat
Moto Gamepad
These are expensive gamepad... and not seems to work with my Nintendo switch

What's your experience with the Chinese ROM on the device?

Hello, i looking to buying the Realme X50 5g on Aliexpress, but the only available version is the chinese official rom. Has anyone bought the phone with that rom installed? Whats your experience with it?
I have read that since the phone doesn't come with google play services installed and the apps that relies on google ofter fail and have trouble displaying notifications. Is this true?
And have you had any other problem with the device?
Lastly, in your opinion is it worth it to buy chinese rom phones to save a couple of bucks?
Thanks!
Realme x50 5G 12/256 Rom
I see that he is a little aggressive with the changes
In my case, I am from Mexico and I will have to use it in English. Although I see many apps that come in English and Chinese
I have not yet managed to put my Nova launcher or Chrome as main
I like to check all the applications. Then I will try to put all my data
I hope here I can find and solve all my doubts

I bought this as the Chinese rom has English language as well as Chinese. I had to install g apps manually afterwards. found a web site that showed how to remove most of the Chinese system apps using adb. Still cannot get rid if Breen (voice command thing) and their own "Apps Market" app. This phone has a much better wifi and mobile signal than previous phone (Umidigi Z2 SE) I will never buy Umidigi again.
This phone (x50 5g) is the best bang for buck on aliexpress. It can be had for $230 incl shipping. does 333k in antutu better than 301k realme v5. same price as v5 better than realme 6/ 6 pro.
has almost every 4g band you will ever need. Just use it as 4g phone since you cant use the 5g bands anywhere except china. has excellent build quality, metal frame, gorilla 5 front and back. 120hz refresh rate. 30w fast charging, image stabilization.
I feel sorry for people buying this phone in Europe. 400 euros seems way to much when you can get china version for half the price. also stupid oneplus nord. why buy that one over this phone? its all the same company anyways. I don't see why this phone isn't more popular. I think its my next phone. like the above poster said, you can install google playstore and remove the chinese bloatware over ADB.

General [Info] ASUS ZenFone 8

See:

Interesting phone, i wanted to get it, but asus decided to remove sd slot, and to put usb 2.0 type-c port. There is nothing flagship about that
I know that doesnt matter to most users, but cmon, its 2021... Usb 2.0 on a sd888 16gb ram ufs 3.1 phone???
Hope to see twrp and some good rom too it soon
Just placed my order.
Have 14 days to try it out and to see if it will replace my IPhone 12 mini.
Truly fantastic phone. instant buy.
Hope GCam will be available for non root device.
Question to the Asus longtime users.
Is there any way to get the phone cheaper at launch? some special promo ot stuff?
Can someone verify if there will be a USA release? The current spec sheet doesnt have compatible 5g bands for T-Mobile.
@Haldi4803
here in Germany there is a little Promo for Pre-Order
and a Shop sell the 128gb with 8GB for 599€
How is the ASUS politics about bootloader unlock and de-googling phones? I would buy it as soon as I can use it without Google.
The battery life seems really pitiful and with that 33w lackluster charging I do not feel it's that great a device these paid reviewers are making it to be. 5.5 hours SOT is not something to boast about.
It would've been perfect if ASUS would've chosen the Snapdragon 870, which makes sense considering the mediocre cameras that don't even need the DSP of the 888 and almost equal performance to it and much better throttling/thermals and battery efficiency.
So sad.

No, Ubuntu is not feasible at the moment, unfortunately their OS is not compatible with many phones and they do not have all the apps. Yes, I know you were ironic, btw.
FYI, I would like to use it with LineageOS or similar ROMs, without gapps, for a variety of reasons:
Because I do not need most of Google apps and services;
Because Google Play Services eats battery doing things I do not want to,;
Because I like having more control of what is happening on my devices;
There are also a privacy concern which is real, Rob Braxman on YouTube can tell you more about that.
Regarding my initial question (that you haven't replied), I suppose I will keep monitoring the XDA and 4pda forums and see how things will evolve.
Asus provide bootloader utility for previous devices, should be up for zenfone 8 soon.
I will add signature spoofing and degoogle stock rom. I have done it for all my devices: improved battery life and full control.
When is the phone going to be released in the UK? Cannot find any information whatsoever?

Did you try any of Asus previously published unlock apps? For example, this one looks rather generic:
https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/ZenFone/ZS670KS/AsusUnlock_1.0.0.7_210127_fulldpi.apk
EDIT:
I was right, I think.
Asus actually published the same unlock tool under the ZS690KS folder:
