Which MIUI ROM I can flash ??? - Redmi K20 Pro / Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro Questions & Answe

Hi,
I was using PE+.
decided to try Masik 16.1 MIUI 12
flashed and booted successfully.
Then tried to disable system apps in Masik ROM, and disabled Security app too !!!
after that settings was crashing every time !
so tried to install MIUI Global 12.0.2 using platform-tools folder method ( flash_all.bat )
after double clicking flash_all.bat file it shows me error in cmd like ,
"Current device antirollback version is greater than this package"
"antirollback check pass"
"Mismatching Image and device"
and cmd closes automatically.
flashed PE+ again
what precautions should I take from now if I want to flash MIUI ROM again ??
Thanks

I think you flashed the wrong firmware. Maybe it was for mi 9t

ummm...
don't know,
I made necessary changes in ZIP file
means, changed codeName in updater-script file so it wont give me that "codename = rephael" error...
I disabled security app in Masik then this all happened !

Zip file...?? It should be a .tar then extract it, another compressed file, extract that and you should get a normal folder. Then you select that folder with the mi flash tool
Edit: also never disable security app on miui, no matter the rom

Yes, I was flashing MIUI 12.0.0.2 from platform-tools folder using flash_all.bat file...

If you don't need to recover from a brick or driver errors don't bother, I find it easy to use though so next time maybe try that and don't change files. Flashing ROMs through recovery should work, does it not work?

If you ever want to switch back to miui I recommend sticking to custom miui versions, mortal os for example should be debloated as is. Just don't remove anything else or if you do use the ADB debloat tool as it has got a safe list of apps you can remove without damage

no.. I didn't remove anything from extracted ZIP file...
I just changed device codeName in updater-script file, from "raphael" to "raphaelin" so I can flash it through recovery.
or else it will give me CODE_NAME error while flashing it.
I think I will stick to Custom ROMs !!! Exo-X or PE+
Thanks for reply :good:

Help! Bad Convert MiA2 to Mi6X

Try to install MIUI 10 Pie in my MIA2, I did all the steps well, even delete the Firmware Update files from the file, but when you pass it to the cell phone to install, pass the original and not the edited one, so install MIUI10 with the folder Firmware Update, which does not allow me to return to Android One, nor does MiFlash work, the cell phone works with MIUI without problems, but all the custom roms do not work, any solution? Or have I lost all hope with the AntiRollBack?:crying:

K20 Pro Global keeps booting to TWRP

Hey guys
I've been playing around with my K20 Pro, but I just came across a problem. This is what happened:
- I flashed Havoc 2.8 as my first ROM, all went pretty swell.
- After having problems with the camera app and FP unlock, I decided to flash LineageOS 17, which required me to install a different firmware, and so I did, all went smoothly again
- LOS 17 is still a bit premature for my taste, so I decided to try going back to stock. I downloaded the stock firmware for Android 9.0 and the stock MIUI 10 ROM for the K20 Pro Global which is the one I have, not a Mi 9T Pro
- I flashed both things, phone now keeps booting into recovery, no matter how many times I flashed the stock fw and ROM and wiped the phone
So now, what do I do? Did I mess up somewhere? If so, enlighten me so I can learn.
Is this solvable? I don't want to have a bricked phone like this after 1 month of use xD
Thanks in advance!
EDIT: This has already been solved ^^
The issue is you want to rollback from Android 10 -> 9.
I'm also having this issue.

Have you tried to flash .tgz stock image though miflash tool?
I had something similar yesterday, I'm assuming you can still get into fastboot, so you need to use MiFlash to flash MiUi, be careful not to select 'clean and lock' as this will lock your bootloader and probably brick the device if it's going to a different ROM from stock.
You need to get MiUi in a tar format and flash that in MiFlash.

No I have not. What should I do? Wipe and then install that? Or do I need to install firmware before flashing the .tgz?

Exactly what @monstermuffin20 said.
Download fastboot rom (.tgz file), could be global rom, extract it to a folder. Open miflash tool, locate path. Select "clean all" on bottom and right side options. DO NOT SELECT "clean all and lock" as it will brick your device.

I'm sure flashing the full ROM is enough, just make sure you UNCHECK the CLEAN ALL AND LOCK option. So go into fastboot mode and extract the tgz file, you may have to extract twice.

As long as it shows: "unlocked" when you turn it on, it definitely not bricked.
1) Download this rom: http://bigota.d.miui.com/V10.3.3.0....FKINXM_20190711.0000.00_9.0_in_a1c0a15dec.tgz
2) Extrat, select path on miflash tool
3) Put your device in fastboot mode
3) MAKE SURE YOU SELECTED "CLEAN ALL" ONLY
4) MAKE ABSOLUTELY SURE that "CLEAN ALL" is marked
5) Click "FLASH"
6) It will end in around 600 seconds, with an error (checkpoint error), don't worry, it's normal...
As I see you have chinese k20 pro and don't really want to use miui (as you've been flashing aosp roms), but start to realise that you will have to deal with it for a while, i would recomend to flash chinese rom, just in case, and then xiaomi.eu rom... it's the better way to live with miui.

Help, ODD bootloop after making backup by TWRP (PitchBlack)

my A2 Converted to 6X stuck in bootloop after making a BackUp by PitchBlack, It wont boot in System nor Recovery anymore,
what should I do?
if I try to go to recovery it turns off,
and if I connect charger cable it turns on and off repeatedly (each 2-3 secs)
Keep force rebooting by holding down the power button and volume up button continuously / connecting the charger multiple times until you manage to get into recovery mode (I tried it for over 5 mins and it will eventually work for sometimes).
Then flash the latest Wayne (6X) firmware (download in Xiaomi Firmware Updater's website), it fixed that situation for me.
I reflashed recovery by fastboot, and reboot it by command line, it boots, but if I restart the phone the problem occurs again,

is that mean that my bootloader is locked again??

Bootloader is still unlocked despite you flashed the firmware since flashing firmware will definitely not lock the bootloader. (probs. the perk of miui 11 eu roms, i'm not sure)

And don't wipe your vendor if you are going to flash that zip, since that zip only contains firmware files.

I think you miss something , if your bootloader is unlocked, when you flash the whole ROM intact it should works perfectly, but sometimes shifting from stable to beta could lead to boot loop, you need to wipe system , davilk, and cache partitions

Question Stock MIUI 12 EEA Stable ROM V12.0.3.0.RKBEUXM on Chinese Mi11

Hi,
I see a new stable rom has been released:
https://c.mi.com/thread-3603220-1-0.html
I've flashed it to my chinese Mi11 using the Fastboot method and everything is working but I have a few questions:
1) What region is this ROM? EEA?
2) Will I receive OTA updates from now on?
3) If I patch boot.img with Magisk would and the answer to 1) is YES, will it be safe to install OTA updates with Magisk installed and will Magisk be removed as part of the OTA update?
Thanks in advance,
Andy

How did you flash EEA on Chinese Mi 11? You wrote "fastboot method", but please explain more. Did you use MIFlash or MiFlashPro or some manual method? Does it need bootloader to be unlocked or it's possible to flash without unlocking?

You do need the bootloader unlocked.
I downloaded the Fastboot version, copied over the required fastboot files from the xiaomi.eu rom and ran the bat file to flash_all.bat.
DO NOT RUN THE FLASH_ALL_LOCK.BAT FILE - IN FACT DELETE IT SO YOU CAN'T ACCIDENTALLY RUN IT.
