So, like many of you I'm sure, I'm pissed that Google took away the app suggestions in recents. I'm actually in awe that they removed it in favor of screenshot and select buttons... I think the app suggestions was my most used feature.
Anyway, is it possible to get this back somehow? Perhaps in a Magisk module? I obviously have no idea how this works, but I would think this is specific to the launcher and not totally baked into the system? If someone could make this happen, I would DEFINITELY donate to the cause.
Please and thanks!

I know there's some similar functionality in some previous Market apps, but this sounds closer to the CM6/7 implementation of the notification power widgets. Still not exactly the same but perhaps closer. This is one of the main reasons I use CM ROMs, but for those who want to use AOSP or even 2.1 but miss the notification power widgets, maybe this app will help.
I haven't tested yet on the Eris, and I don't know if the app's "all in one" notification will work on our phone, but whoever tests this first please let us know.
It works but not a fan of it. Takes up to much screen space on the notification menu.

+1 on that, the notification toggle is what sold me on CM to start and keeps me coming back. it brought me back from a brief period using xtrSENSE, and is currently the main thing keeping me from going whole hog on the recent AOSP builds.

I was afraid that would be the case. Thanks for your input!

I did the same thing, I went back to xtrSENSE briefly after some frustration with Froyo, then GB became useable.
All I really want is to enable my back button to serve as a menu button so I can get rid of the black bar. If I could add some settings toggles to the notification shade too, great, if not Power Toggles is working just fine. I like Sense 5, don't want to get rid of it. I don't want a heavily modded rom. Just want something as fast and stable as complete stock with the ability to add the tweaks mentioned above. I searched around and couldn't really find the answer, so if anyone could point me in the right direction, that would be great.

Patience. These things will come that I promise but they are not here yet. Give the devs a few weeks and you will be rewarded

I have no problems waiting. I always have a hard time finding what I'm looking for on XDA so I wasn't sure if it was just me being a derp about the search or if it really wasn't out yet.

I'll have to check it out.
Thanks to you both.
Has anyone already managed to mod Samsung oneui system to change navigation gesture.
I find the 'swipe on left edge for recent, swipe on right for back' kind of bad and would like to make it like OnePlus gesture.
I have made a few test and it's part of the systemui.apk so I believe it is possible to customize them. Please Let me know if someone has already done that for the S10 or another oneui device.
BTW, I know it's possible to get something like that with 'fluid navigational' or the many other gesture app, that works through accessibility service, available on the playstore but that's not what I'm looking for.
One Hand Operation+, official app by Samsung.
Since the android 10 update the Quick setting toggle for Navigation Bar has been removed. Is there a way to add this feature as I don't always use gestures and like to switch. Your help will be much appreciated. I have a Verizon Galaxy S10+
Bump. This was a dumb move. Why remove such a useful toggle?

My thoughts exactly. Some apps don't work well with gestures.

I found a workaround that does the trick for me, using the One Hand Operation + module from the Good Lock family. See screenshots.
I'm wondering where the hidden system setting is for the navbar toggle. Anyone know? If I knew, I could just create a Tasker event that could be added to Quick Toggles/Settings. TIA.

This was one of the first things in beta that people complained about. Samsung responded with the exact response they replied with on all requests and questions "we'll pass this on to our engineers, blah, blah, blah". LOL, I sometimes wonder if Samsung engineers even use Samsung phones.

Well, the ability to toggle the navigation bar on/off is still here (as can be seen in my previous post). If we can determine where the hidden system setting is located, creating a quick toggle should be pretty simple.

Well if you find a way to make a toggle pass that along.. Thanks
There's always been an old way to add toggles back. My carrier always hides the mobile hotspot toggle so I have to re-enable it every update. Perhaps if we can find the syntax for the Navigation Bar toggle in Android 9 we could bring it back this way? it would be something like custom(com.samsung.settings/com.samsung.android.settings.NavigationBarTile)
https://www.xda-developers.com/how-...ttings-tile-toggle-on-samsung-galaxy-devices/
My thoughts - you can run "settings get secure sysui_qs_tiles" on a samsung android 9 device that has the navbar button, and that will show what the name of the quick settings toggle is.
I installed some mod that made my navbar look and act weird. Basically, after installing a certain mod (can't tell which one actually), the navbar looks like this:
I wouldn't mind it too much but the fact the home softkey is not perfectly centered annoys me. Also, on this navbar, clicking the home softkey plays the little animation with the four google dots, another thing that I don't really like.
If I go to Settings, Apps & Notifications, Default Apps, Assist & Voice Input, and change it say to Firefox, and then back to None, the navbar becomes normal again.
But at reboot I get the crappy misaligned one again. I don't use any Assist&Voice Input app, so I set it to none. I also deleted the Google App and Assistant and everything else related to it, because I don't use that stuff.
Like I said, I think a mod that I installed caused this issue. It could have been Pix3lify or the modded Xperia Home with the pill navbar. I removed both mods but the navbar goes back to the weird one after any reboot, so maybe a leftover from one of these mods is still in my system, but I can't find it. How can I restore the default navbar without doing a factory reset? Unfortunately I don't have a backup and I would rather avoid the factory reset. Again it's not a big deal, but I would like to fix it.
While this might not be a perfect solution, you can modify the looks of the navbar with a substratum theme.
Such as this one:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rc.navigate
This is the substratum theme engine, and it requires root on android 9 and up:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=projekt.substratum
If you need more info about substratum look in the app's description or just ask here.

Could be a solution, but I don't feel like installing more stuff on my phone. Do you know which file is responsible for the navbar's appearance?

Sorry, I don't know that.
Maybe this article about modifying the stock navbar can be useful?
https://www.xda-developers.com/add-custom-buttons-to-nav-bar-on-samsung-galaxy-s8-galaxy-s8/
Or this one:
https://www.xda-developers.com/how-...icons-or-re-arrange-the-buttons-without-root/
They might mention it somewhere.
Weirdly enough, if I use Substratum, the theme I set appears on top of the crappy navbar, and by that I mean that I see both at once once. Guess I'll have to factory reset huh
I was bored today so I came back to this issue. I reflashed System with flashtool, which brought back all the bloatware obviously, but the navbar stays in its weird mode. If I create a new user, the new user gets a normal navbar. If I enable Google and the search assistant, the navbar stays weird on reboot but as soon as I start Google, the navbar becomes normal again.
Anyone know a possible solution to this puzzle?

Just do a full reset and start from scratch. No one likes doing them, but sometimes it's the only option.
