Nope, I have 256 mb swap and it's acceptable btw. its still android 4, so theoretically system requirements shouldn't change that much... and yeah, wait about 5 years, we might have phones with 10 ghz CPU and 128gb of ram

+1
It's still Jelly Bean, with some new features included (wow Multi-User).
Also, we're running JB from ICS libs which is from GB/Froyo libs in fact
Anyway, whom of us expected that we could run Jelly Bean in our very low-end devices
maybe we can expect more than that, for example Key Lime Pie, but I think it would be too lag ....
Regards
Wait another +10 Years
You will get :
96 Core Mobile System with Intel ProMobilic Imaging Processor (IPMP)
4 Thz DDR RAM with Quadral-Task Support
Android 9.2 CoconutCream
4 Thz (TeraHertz) Processor
Quad-Boot Filesystem with simple .boot file (5 OS at Time)
1 TB SD-Card Class 50
a qHD Galaxy Mini with Pen-Touch Support

There probably would be Android 9.2 but it wont be coconut cream.
According to some random theory I've been reading in +10 years we'll have 256 core cpu's, or we'll be extinct (but that's other theory)

Depends what kind of apocalypse, I'm not a big fan of natural cataclysm and yet I'm still too fat for zombies lol (what if they're runners, not walkers?) Btw. do you guys realize that we humans are apocalypse for nearly extinct animal species?
In phone specifications CPU-Z and Antutu say only 1258MB RAM, not 1536MB (1,5Gb)...

Anyway, better than mine.
I wrote to Samsung Customer Service and they replied me that a quote of RAM is reserved for OS...
Why - then - we all have different amounts of total RAM?
Mine also says 1258mb. SM-G800F rooted stock Rom
Well first of all, anything related to sizes in computer world is not exact since someone decided that 1mb is 1000kb not 1024kb. So if a device has example 1,5GB ram, it's never really exactly 1,5GB.
Then secondly the system reserves some amount of the ram to use, so a phone will never have 1,5GB free ram if it's marketed having 1,5GB ram.
Edit: Thirdly, you have to compare the ram usage to a same phone with same firmware, settings, apps and updates to get real information.

@leripe: It only applies to data storage devices, not ram.
RAM: 1.5Gb = 1536 Mb = 1572864kb = 1610612736b
DISK: "1.5Gb" ~ 1500000000b ~ 1464844kb ~ 1431Mb < 1,4Gb
But rest is right. Most of the ram is reserved for other hardware, ex GPU.

none at that price ...
yah you can get one of from your list but they will have certainly some issues so either accept them or increase your budget or reduce yr wish list.
simple understanding that if google sell it's nexus 5 at 28-30k with your requirement ... and google is one company which has lowest profit margin with highest specs... then how can you wish that all these "cheap product makers" can provide you those specs at less than half price ... so deal with that they surely comes with problems...
in my opinion f you don't want to increae budget go for moto G ... it don't have high specs which you wised but it's gr8 phone and no problem ...you won't regret ( PS: it doesn't come with gyrometer so No Photospehere )
Don't create thread for personal and not sgsa related Question we already have OT thread + Q&A thread
Go to G2

Look for LG L90. Quad Core 1.2ghz processor. Android 4.4.2 KitKat.
I see noce development (for me its nice). I think he will get android L.
And he is olso really cheap.
But 1gb of ram.

Just found that MOTO G (2014) have gyroscope also so photo-sphere will also work + Motorola conformed that it'll get Lollipop update... so now it's ultimate pack at that price:laugh:
Finally i gone with Panasonic eluga u in 15k because i just want 2gb ram phone wich really needs any android phone for reason of its performance and multitasking
2 gb ram 16 gb internal memory 32 gb expandable 1.2 quad-core snapdragon 400 processor with 305 adreno gpu 720 p hd ogs ips lcd screen with Android kitkat 4.4.2.
I don't know it's right decision to buy this one but i really feel power in my hand now all heavy apps running smoothly no lag no hang
So no need for development for this phone no update for lollipop is disapointing but when performance matters i don't need that

Hello,
I just bought Mi 9t pro 6GB ram, 128gb rom version, but in Cpu-z, Total Ram shows only 5523MB, so how can be gone 477MB ?
And Internal Storage shows only 109.34 GB
How much shows cpu-z on your phones ?
That is normal. Some part is typically reserved by the system and not visible to CPU-Z.

Yes, I know internal storage could be reserved, but Ram it's too much. How your total ram showing cpu_z
HTML:
?
In my case 5507 MB Ram. I think the rest is assigned to GPU and because of that hidden.
Probably it was never added to cut costs.
/sarcasm
I think the missing memory is locked from the OS because it's shared with the adreno gpu (Qualcomm hasn't shared the deeper details on gpu)

It is negligeable thing and ignore please.
Like the previous fellow posters said, some RAM is reserved for OS/hardware interaction. CPU-Z reads the user RAM.
