Hi All,
I'm not overly experienced with my pi but looking for some support and hopefully will get better with more use.
I have a Raspberry Pi 3 with Raspberry Pi OS (64 bit), freshly flashed a couple weeks ago. It is running headless, with a wired ethernet connection.
I have installed Portainer and Docker with three different containers. (qBittorrent, Gluten, Zwave2mqtt)
There is a an Aeotec Zwave USB stick installed.
The pi becomes unresponsive every day or every other day. No ability to SSH in.
Historically, the pi worked fine with a similar (though not exact) setup, including the USB stick. This was with the 32bit version of the OS, not using portainer and only the Zwave2mqtt as a docker image.
Would be glad to get log files, but I haven't been able to figure out which log files I need to pull to help diagnose this problem. Where do I start with this kind of troubleshooting?
Thanks!

What you guys think about it?
I gonna try it - this night I want to download an .img file for raspberry and also .iso for normal computers
Website: http://kali.org/
Download: http://www.kali.org/downloads/ (you need to chose armel architecture and then Raspberry PI version)
About (docs): http://www.kali.org/official-documentation/
Yeah I saw this also, it will be fun to use but it will not be good for cracking passwords fast because of the raspberry pi's hardware. Might test it out on mine soon
Informations from me (will be keep updated):
Didn't try the special applications yet, but I feel it boots much slower than Raspbian. Reading package lists is slower too, but it's prolly because of more apps on list, so it's possible to fix.
Use Thunar file manager - it's much faster than the second one.
Midori is shutting down without any reason.
3.8GB of SD card used after writing it (checked in file manager).
Chromium doesn't work at all.
Already decided to stop using it, just need to test tools now...
I installed it , but how do I connect to the internet? I dont see any wifi scanner to find a network.
Also i went to the command prompt and is not readying my usb wifi adapter... doesnt find wlan0

I connected it with ethernet cable so I didn't have such a problem.
It's strange that kali doesn't see a wificard - it has many built-in drivers. Maybe you are searching wlan0, when it's for example wlan1? Did u use ifconfig and iwconfig?
From my understanding the rPi does better with hf than it does el, so it seems that if Kali OS could be compiled for the rPi using armhf instead that the performance might be better overall than running an armel version. On that note, you won't see the same speeds as a Raspbian distro merely because it is using armel compared to Raspbian which uses armhf.
Howdy there!
I'm looking for some ideas for solving an issue I'm having because I've looked everywhere on there internet possible (I think lol) and still have yet to find anything like what I'm having troubles with. Here is what is going on:
I'm new to the Linux world and all though I know about Ubuntu I'm trying to use different builds along with Ubuntu so I can see what the differences between them all are. In my problem I'm using Elementary OS. While trying to install Elementary OS my Logitech wireless mouse does not move on the screen, which leaves me having to use my USB keyboard to tab through everything. Everything else works perfectly like the wireless card, the ethernet, etc. I've tried unplugging it and re-plugging it back in after a restart or after the installer is finished loading up. Which is sadly all I could think of aside from switching different USB ports but that didn't work either. After I use my keyboard to install the OS and it reboots to the desktop my mouse still does not want to move.
I'm stuck so if anyone has ideas I'm all ears, haha.
Thanks!

I've been enjoying my Raspbery PI 2 for the past 18 months.. today i wanted to watch a movie on it and i got an unpleasant present..
There was no sign of life on the TV, first i tought for the worst, but than i managed to "trigger" a noise from the speakers that i have on the PI, i was scrolling trough the menu of OpenELEC and the sound was there!
I started to troubleshoot, SSHed onto the PI.. tvservice recognized the TV, even the right resolution.. Than the google research started. After a couple of hours browsing the web, trying several options (various combinations in the config.txt) i decided to re-install a fresh version of OpenELEC, everything went smooth, now i can access it over http + SSH, but there is still no image on the TV(no signal).
I tested the PI on another 2 TVs + 2 HDMI cables, didnt have the chance to get my hands on a S-video cable yet.
I sure hope someone could give me a hint or two what could be wrong.. or else i'll have to buy a new Raspbery PI 3
Thanks for everything in advance
It probably the HDMI connector on the raspberry board. It can easily replace with some soldening skill.
Try to install Windows 10 on it which, I think is the most stable os for your Raspberry. I had the same display problem and it was solved magically when installing Windows 10.
If this does not apply, then think about of getting that Rapsberry pi 3

Very new to this whole raspberry pi thing.
Long story short, I recently bought a pi zero w and manage to install pi-hole and config my home network to go through it when I browse the net.
This got me very excited so I start looking into more pi projects.
The next thing I want to do is try to install Android TV box into the same raspberry pi. I was wondering if the zero w is powerful enough to run both pi hole and android at the same time or do I need to order another one?
If it is powerful enough, I am currently running Pi Hole off Raspbian, is it possible/how to run both at the same time?
I found a few guides on how to install android tv but cant get my head around running both at the same time.
Thanks:good:
I've been playing with the GoldenOrb ROOter for Raspberry Pi 3. I want to use the 4 USB ports as WANs and load balance the WANs. I'm currently using the Raspberry Pi 3 B board because the latest build doesn't support the B+. Does anyone have or know of a build being available that will work on the Raspberry Pi 3 B+? It doesn't have to be GoldenOrb but that seems to be by far what is the closest to having what all in there I need to use. I may have to end up doing my own build for this but due to time constraints can't really get around to it at the moment. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I am connecting Netgear AirCard 815S hotspots to the USB. But, the phones I've tried have been recognized right away as well. Also, current build I have been able to load balance 2 of them. The modem section by default has set up for 2 modems and I have 2 of the AC815S hotspots connected and load balancing but would like to utilize the other two USB ports for modems as well. This may all sound very easy but I'm just getting into this project. I'm surprised no one has made a publicly available build yet for the B+ model. I'm running into roadblocks with max speed of the 10/100 Ethernet port on the B model
