I have a problem with the camera, which is blurred at 1.0x but when I set it to 0.9x it is normal. Does anyone know if it's a bug in this version 13.0.14? If you put it in an earlier version, will it solve it? Is this effort worth it?
Same problem any fix
I have the same issue, any fix?
I have tried resetting the camera and clearing the cache and data that didn't work.

Hi
After I updated to ICS
My camera can't focus
Did anyone have the same problem?
I make sure there are no film strip
I factory reset a couple times, I reset camera setting.
I tried using different app to take pictures and no results.
I suspect it has something to do with Whats App because the same thing happened to my sister Galaxy S2 LTE but all she did was reset camera setting to fix the issue.
Anyone got any idea?

if factory reset doesnt solve it then it is probably hardware issues.
send it to Samsung service center if you have Warranty
I am having a problem with my wife's, Atrix HD. This just started out of no where with no changes or updates in phone/. When I open the camera app i just get a black screen with the controls but no camera image, the controls respond (change colors when pressed) but don't do anything and I never get a camera picture. after a while I usually get a camera is unable to initialize error. I have searched and either no one provides a solution that I haven't tried or theirs messed up after flashing a custom ROM which I haven't done. I have tried all the factory resets, clearing cache, clearing data in application management for camera and gallery and none of it helped as other have recommended. Out of frustration I rooted her phone so I could experiment with uninstalling the camera (and gallery) and installing other versions of camera (and gallery) from other phones/aosp/android versions ext. and then re-installing the stock ones all to no avail. I know that the all the cameras were working just a week ago and that the front facing camera was working in oovoo even after she started having trouble with the rear camera, but I cant get either of them to pull up now. Does anyone know of a solution to this problem? I am leaning towards either a hardware issue or maybe the camera firmware was corrupted somehow and if this were the case does anyone know how to remedy it?
Let me know if you need any more info.
Thanks,
Madness

I went to take a picture today and my camera instantly went to the front facing camera. The option to switch to the rear camera was missing. I click on the icon for panorama and I get a message that says " Sorry, no back facing camera available". I have tried everything I can think of including:
Rebooting the phone.
Deleting data and cache
Uninstalling camera updates
Factory Reset
Installing a different Rom.
Nothing has worked. Any other ideas before I contact Support?
I have this problem with two different phones...... On one I managed to repair is temporarily through a panicked series of resets etc. The other I had to RMA.

I had this problem with my Nexus 5. rear camera would stop working. One thing to try is boot to safe mode and see if it works. Safe mode disables any 3rd party apps that can cause the camera to crash. If it works, it could be an app. For me, sometimes in safe mode it wouldnt work either. I contacted Google, went through a few steps and they sent me out a replacement device.
the exact thing happens to me too

The answer is in this thread. You have to get it returned.
My camera on my Mi Mix has stopped working. When opened I get a blank image as the picture then app forces close. I tried other camera apps and same things happen. Has anyone else experienced this? I have not dropped or knocked the phone. I am thinking the camera hardware has failed!!!
I got it sorted. Had to wipe system and data and reinstall.
Hello,
since my camera app is not working, same with apps that use the camera.
The problem is when i'm on the main camera i get a black screen (an absolute black, like if there is no signal) and the shooting button is not working. The camera works fine for selfies instead but when i switch to the rear cam the app freezes. I tryed everything from clearing data/cache, unistall and reupdate the app, nothing works even after the january update.
So whats the solution? Google team can make it to fix or do you think Is an hardware problem and i have to ask for a new unit?
It definitely looks like a hardware failure. The only thing you can try is to factory reset the phone if it still doesn't help - place a warranty claim.
