Samsung A71, OneUI 5, Android 13. In the past few weeks my screen becomes a washed out green for a little while (I can still see the screen, icons, text, etc). Then I have to turn down or turn off the Eye Comfort Shield (ECS). That seems to make the problem go away. Then later on I turn the ECS back on. Then, about 10 days later, it happened again, the screen became washed out with green color. I then turned off the ECS and it went away.
It seems this issue started soon after I got updated to OneUI 5 and Android 13.
I like keeping the ECS on and don’t like turning it off. How to fix this? Anyone else have this issue?
Need any other details?

Hey guys
I have my note for around 3 weeks now. I experience the purple screen twice.
so basically out of no where, the screen will turn really purple like. but the problem is fixed after i restart the phone.
not super concern about it, but just want to know if this is a bad sign that the phone will die on me?
thanks!
Ive had this experience on my Galaxy S1 and S2 I get a quick flash of either green or red color then everything is back to normal.. happend once or twice on my Galaxy S1 for owning it for a year and maybe more than 3 times on the S2 for 3 months.
It's a software bug, and i guess it'll get patched sooner or later by Samsung, but no i do not have any problems with the screen.
I've had it once Was more blueish tho. Just turned the screen off and on again (IT Crowd ) and it worked just fine after (I freaked out at the time tho).
Only once. Screen turned blueish upon waking up of device.
Yes, it happened to me too. Turned blueish when turned on but returned to original when hitting the power button. Thank god it's a software bug rather than hardware.
I notice this particularly when on white screens. But every few seconds the screen tints VERY slightly different colours. It's a very subtle change but basically every 3 seconds or so, the screen goes from having more of a blue tint, to more of a warm tint. I'm wondering if my phone is faulty or if it's some sort of optimisation in the software. I have the screen power optimisation turned off, and auto brightness turned off but it's still doing it. Again, it's only very subtle. Do you think this phone should be returned? It's running Cassies ROM v4. Bought it from Expansys in the UK (but it came from france). Really appreciate any advice on this as I need to decide if it needs to be returned.
Hi,
Since upgrading to Tizen a couple of weeks ago, I've had a couple of occassions where the screen has stayed on and not dimmed or turned off.
I only notice it because I get the low battery warning and think it shouldn't be dead so quickly. I then watch it for a bit and notice that it doens't dim or turn off. Changing the screen timeout from 10s to something else and then back doesn't make any difference.
A reboot lets the screen timeout work as normal again.
I probably looked at the watch a few times whilst it was stuck on and just thought that it had been triggered by the movement sensor.
Anyone else have this problem?
Didn't have this problem under Android (had the watch since November last year)
Hi all
I got my urbane last week and everything has been great so far. I did initially have a bit of problem with the wifi and had to do a hard reset. I have turned that off now and just use Bluetooth. The bluetooth range in my house isnt much different to the wifi anyway so not a big deal. The battery lasts two days with ambient mode always enabled which I think is pretty good by smart watch standards. .
The problem I have is sometimes the screen just goes black. Tapping it wakes it up but I have it set to never sleep and its happened three times today. I know it turns off when it's been sat down untouched after 30 minutes or so but its been doing it whilst on my wrist. I'm using pujie black as my watch face so wonder if it something to do with that. Has anyone else had similar and managed to solve it?
Cheers
I am encountering the same issue since I updated to LCA44B OTA and I have found no solutions to this point. Pretty annoying since everything was working back then
Mine will only turn off after long time of not moving, seems about 30 minutes
as long as I keep doing things and moving my wrist, the screen will not turn off
the screen does this when it detects no motion for like 5 or 10 minutes, its normal.
If it's on your wrist it should be fine but if left unmoved for about 10 minutes it will turn off to black screen. This can be affected if using some "3rd" party screens from Watchmaker or Facer as some of these faces can have little "bugs" that affect the "never off" setting and can - repeat can - turn screen to black even when wearing the watch. (I have only come across this a couple of times and have reported the situation to the respective "face" designer).
I’ve got a 2yr old Galaxy A71 with Android 13 and OneUI 5.0. The screen often flickers. Not always but once or twice a day it will flicker a lot for about 10 or 20 minutes, then go back to normal. I’ve turned the Adaptive Brightness (AB) on and off and the Eye Comfort Shield (ECS) on and off and it doesn’t make any difference. I’ve also restarted the phone multiple times and it doesn’t help. The screen still flickers.
It seems the flickering problems started soon after I updated to Android 13 or OneUI 5.0, but I can’t remember for sure.
Anyway to fix a flickering screen?
It could be a pure coincidence, but I just noticed that the screen flickering problems may be connected to having lots of apps open. I restarted the phone and now only have a few apps open, and the screen is not flickering. Could having lots of open apps cause screen flickering? Maybe too many open apps uses lots of RAM and causes screen problems? Let me know if you think this could or could not cause the flickering problems.
Hi
I'm not sure it's gonna fix this but there's an option in the developer options "Strict mode enabled". Is it disabled?
