hello i have a problem with my s21 ultra, my s21 ultra was rooted and now i have the original software but knox 0x1 and samsung pass no longer work either and everytime cames popup access denied unauthorized changes were made to your phone.....how i can reset knox to 0x0 ?
You can not. If you are rooted you can make things work with spoofing. Otherwise, you can’t use Knox features. It is a efus, you would have to replace your entire motherboard to fix.

Samsung Pay integrates Knox. Rooting your phone trips a Knox flag that can never be reset, and when that flag is tripped, Knox will not authenticate some actions such as Samsung Pay. This means you will not be able to use Samsung Pay any more. Verify your Knox security flag is now 0x1 (tripped/void) instead of 0x0 (secure/intact) to confirm this. I believe this flag is displayed in the bootloader and/or diagnostic menus. Magisk v12 offers an experimental option to fake a 0x0 Knox, if your Knox flag is already void it won't hurt to mod the phone again to try this. I haven't found anyone that has tried to use Samsung Pay after installing Magisk v12 so there are no guarantees if this will work.

Isn't 0x0 Knox the same as 0x1 Knox = 0?

"0x" means hexadecimal, not multiply by zero -_-
Can someone confirm if it works with Magisk v12. Really wish to use Samsung Pay but this tripped Knox thing is annoying.

Sadly no, it dosent work already rooted with magisk v12 and no luck with spay. Just hoping it gets fixed in upcoming versions.
Hey XDA, i just bought (another) Note 5, this time SM-N9208DX version shipped but not bought from Malaysia . It came sealed but has a knox code of 1 (0x500), I have searched all over xda and have seen two users with the same type of phone with the same knox tripped. While this is not too much of a problem, ill like to know what knox 0x500 means and if it cant be reverted, can i use secure folder without flashing a custom rom?
Knox is tripped and you won't be able to use Knox, Sexure folder, samsung pay and even Samsung health will refuse to open.
Hi . Can galaxy note 8 oreo be fully unrooted after rooting , with working samsung health and all other knox dependent apps ?
Can it go back to be as it has been never rooted before ,
at all ?
Thank U
No.

No, once rooted, secure folder and samsung pay are gone forever, knox flag 0x1 can not be reset to 0x0, that's it, no workarounds for this

You can unroot no problem, but there will still be evidence the phone has been rooted so Warranty would become void. In addition as Samsung Pay and Secure folder require uncompromised KNOX security they will no longer work - EVER.

The effect of unrooting will be that some apps that detect root and refuse to work, will work again, just that, if you already rooted your device, then enjoy the freedom you obtained, add try to make the most out of it, mods, roms, debloat, etc
What is the best way to reset Knox to 0x0? If possible without root...

short answer: no, you cant reset knox back to 0x0.
The reason i didn't root was that i lose more functionality than i gain and there's no going back to knox 0x0 after that. I couldn't imagine my S3 Mini or S5 without root but my Note9 is perfect without root as many things that were available only with root in the past are included in the stock firmware or in Good Lock modules.

It's a scam. The Knox flag is indicating the state of an eFuse, which can't be changed nor reverted.

The ONLY way to get KNOX back to 0X0 is to replace the mainboard...
You can get a rooted phone to display KNOX as 0X0 but it is cosmetic only and won't fool any apps that don't work on a rooted phone.
If you haven't replaced the boot file, rooted or replaced the recovery then an app you have installed likely is malware that has tried or successfully gained root privileges...

Simple answer NO i made a mistake rooting my Tab S4 i'm never ever rooting unless i get a SnapDragon as they i heard you can root without trpping Knox! Also root is not needed as we have Youtube Vanced, Disconnect Pro! Package Disabler Pro, and #Mono oh forgot about Goodlock! Unless your planning on running Custom Roms it's simply not worth Rooting! As it's to much headache to root update reroot etc!

This^ I also removed a few preinstalled apps via ADB and granted one permission for Tasker via ADB as well. Root was mandatory in the past but not any more at all.
I've tripped knox on my S20 FE 5G. Is there any way to revert it back now?
Saw in some discussions that the eFuse can't be reverted. I want to use secure folder. Is there any luck?

Unfortunately luck took a permanent vacation when it comes to Samsung Knox. You might as well get a new S20 FE
I've heard that you can get back secure folder through smali patching even when Knox is tripped though I have no idea how to do this.
No, once it's tripped, it's tripped. Samsung Service Centre can't even do it.
The only way to fix it is a new mobo.
A risk you run when mucking with a Samsung... personally I don't use Knox and don't like it.
