Be careful right now for scams and hustles.
Just hoping you didnt pay too much for that brick.
Keep looking onto it until there's no other option but to give up.

UPDATE : I've just came back from the lab and they told me that the battery is fine and the litle white sticker inside (not the one on the battery) is still white so it's not water damage -
anyone have another idea what can it be?
[the phone is dead - not functioning at all - only when i'm charging there is the green led - beside that no response at all! not even for restart/safe mode/recovery ]
Best guess. Brick.
I pray that I am wrong though

[Q] Xperia TX problem? Please help me!!!!

Hi everyone, I purchased my Xperia TX 2 months ago in Singapore and now I return to my home country- Vietnam. My phone was working good till last week.
I was surfing via 3G on my phone and i remember it was 3% battery left and then BANGGG...My phone turned black and i though it was out of battery.
Then I charged it on wall socket as usual and saw the red notification light as usual but it disappeared after a while. I couldnt turn it on anymore. I charged it for 4 hours and the screen kept the same.
I have tried to press "power +up/down volume" keys and its still frozen. Only the red light vibrates and nothing more.
I DIDNT unlock the boot loader, water, or drop it. I use my phone for daily uses and usually connect with the Sony Companion so I make sure again its not rooted yet.
Finally, I bring it on the customer service and they said its because of my fault to unplugged it when flashing ROM bla bla bla. i though Its because they have not seen any problem like this before since Xperia TX has not been released in Vietnam yet and they could not turn the phone on or connect it to PC. So, I left it there this morning and wait for the result.:crying:
Does anyone have the same problem with me? Is it the hardware or software problem? Is it the Sleep of Death (SOD) mentioned in some thread here? PLEASE show me how to fix it!
Have you tried taking out the battery, wait awhile and put it back again and plug the phone for charging again?
But since it's already in the service center, no need to worry, they can repair whatever the problem is.

you should have tried the backup and restore app of Sony bro, copy the backup to your PC and then restore it later after your phone got back from service center
anyways, next time try that app, it saves a lot of time
and about service center, they are quite very good in service quality

Yesterday i tried removing the battery and it was no use. I am mad because i just lightly used the product for less than 2 weeks, took good care of it, and wont be able to return it because I am in another country. So that is 539 USD wasted.
Hey, anything could solve this problem?
As many threads about this (Or a similar problem) suggest you just need to leave you rphone on charge for at least 24 hours. Use a wll charger not a USB.
Do not touch the phone in this time, just wait. If after this it does not charge, it appears your battery is FUBAR'd
Hey, device more than 24 hours when there is no change, still red light. I had some battery nothing helps. Help please what can be done? Thank you.

Do you know someone else with a phone that yu could borrow their battery to see?
I take it you have checked whether the charger works and tried other chargers?
Another trick I have heard of in the old X10 forum is to cut the end of your charger lead and directly put red wire onto positive end of battery and black wire onto the negative end and charge the battery that way. But do this at your own risk. I have no way of knowing if this will work on the TX and it may even make the battery worse....but for a last chance it may be worth a go.
Edit
Also, its not yet been 24 hours since my post saying leave it plugged in for 24 hours...so maybe following instructions to the letter is something to go with in the future...
Hey, thanks for the experience to help and sorry for publication in both forums. I just gave up. I tried another battery I have another battery ... Did not work I think just the CPU burned or something? Sony is waiting for a reply on the matter. Unfortunately I did not buy the device in my country is not out here so I'm not sure I'd have a warranty. Thanks again

Got the same problem. No one can resolve this, and Sony refusing to repair a month old phone if you bought it not in your country. What a shame.
Bought new phone instead of bricked one.

[Q] HTC One eats charger cables

Hey everyone
So, I have a bit of a problem... My HTC One keeps destroying every charger cable I'm using, sooner or later. I've tried about 5 or 6 different chargers, including 3 original chargers, and as you might understand this is getting pretty expensive (especially as original chargers are priced around 20.- in Switzerland).
I'm gonna spare you the details, but there are a few things that might be interesting to anyone who wants to help.
The progress is always the same: First, the phone is charging only when sth. is weighing the connector down (this is something many of my HTC One-owning friends are complaining about, too). Next, the phone will charge only when the cable is bent behind the back of the phone. This will work for some time, until the phone refuses to charge when plugged into the wall and can only be charged by trickle charging it from a USB port (which is what I'm currently doing). Here, the cycle is repeated, only that this time the cable dies entirely.
Curiously enough, this happens with every charger and, as it seems, the deterioration quickens with each new cable.
Also, what usually happens pretty quickly is that the connector doesn't lock into place anymore. I have cleaned the port multiple times following instructions from Youtube videos, but to no avail.
Since my phone is rooted, I unfortunately can't just go to my provider and ask them for a new phone. They'll probably blame it on the software or whatever... Also, I recently dropped my phone and it left a few scratches on the top, which would void my warranty even if the rooting wouldn't already have done so. Just my luck, I suppose...
Hopefully anybody has a similar problem or a suggestion. Lemme know if you do!

Use this Guide to return to Stock and do a warranty replacement
It looks like you have 2 problems. The first one is the microusb port has been damaged. This has happened to me on another phone and it would explain why the wire is sliding out. For this reason, you might consider replacing it under warranty. The second problem seems to be tension in the charging wire. I do not know how you have charging setup, but I am guessing that the outlet is far away and you are stretching the cable to make it to the phone. This could cause the wire to have discontinuity (why you have to bend it to short the discontinuity and resume charging) and the microusb port to get damaged. I would recommend getting a longer wire if this is the case.

ok, where did you buy if from ?
I bought it at Microspot and they replaced it twice...
Both times, I was S OFF, LOCKED Bootloader and stock recovery using a RUU...
The second time I even had a "bülä/näggi" on my phone... they replaced it on warranty...
I had the purple tint camera issue D:
Re: HTC One eats charger cables
Thanks for your response
I bought it at the Orange store in Winti, but if you get any helpful advice or in this case even a new device always depends on the clerk...
Also, I'm kinda worried how they would react to the fact that I noticed the issue already months ago.
Anyway. I'll wait until my current cable breaks down, too. Perhaps in the meantime somebody else has an idea

ok... first, you are not allowed to tell them that you noticed this issue months ago..

they won't notice it but you need some good argument's that this issue isn't caused by software... first go back 100% stock using this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2541082
and then test if your phone still eats these cables..., return it to the shop...
use these arguments to convince them if they don't wanna replace it:
I hope you can do something with these informations and if they want to charge you - or even to be prepared - I have a few examples how you can convince HTC that this issue is not caused by you and that this is covered by warranty.

UNLOCKING THE BOOTLOADER DOESN'T VOID THE WARRANTY FOR HARDWARE SUCH AS THE POWERBUTTON!!! I think it's point 7 in the warranty statement where they wrote that the fault has to be CAUSED by this particular ---- whatever is listed below.

Someone had an issue with a sunk powerbutton, like me:
LibertyMarine said:
Now, send them an email and tell them that in the warranty is written:
ONLY if it's CAUSED by external action, warranty is void for ONLY the part that got influenced by this cause! And also tell them that it is ridiculous and that they can't be serious saying that a few scratches and a unlocked bootloader caused a sunk power button! Tell them that this is against every human logic! Tell them that you have the right to use this warranty because the powerbutton sunk under normal usage! And this is definitly a production problem and not your fault! Describe them that you use your phone the way it has to be used!
But remember, be friendly and try to comunicate.. otherwise they won't deal.

Try to give them your perspective.. how you experienced the sunk powerbutton. I said that from time to time it sunk deeper and deeper. And because I was afraid of destroying something I even pressed it softer and so on.. But once the point was reached that this ESSENTIAL part of the HTC One was unusable, so I felt forced to send it in on warranty because this is definitly a hardware fault and not a user fault! Try to give them your perspective!
This is almost everything. Be rethoric(Ask questions so that they must answer Yes! Ask questions that already include the answer) For example, Isn't it ridiculus and totally against every logic thinking that you say a unlocked bootloader is the cause of a sunk powerbutton?
As long as they are humans, they have to say, yes... this is the only answer... otherwise they would be ridiculus.

holy crap, say them they HAVE to, or are they willing to see a BIG article in a popular newspaper with your problem and their answer... ask the shop assistant if he wants his name to be published etc... Holy sh*t, take my thanks
No, seriously, great and elaborate response, I'm gonna try that.
I bought a new charger cable today (just as a last test) and it won't even start charging on AC current. Guess it's really the phone's fault. Oh well, hate to wait for the replacement, but better than a broken phone, right?
Thanks again and have a nice day

[Q] where to find replacement spare parts?

Hi guys i need some help!
In my country we dont have support for htc in no place.
The situation is i leaved my phone charging during my shower when i back it stopped charging and was smelling really bad, and very hot, so my device is not charging anymore, and we dont find spare parts in any place here.
So i tried some technicians here just one told whats burned is the voltage regulator, not usb, and i really dont know if he is right or not.
But the main thing is ill try to import this two parts and try to fix for my self, do you guys know a good link to purchase this parts??
Please help me guys lose an device like m8 here is the same thing of losing 1700 usd

Xiaomi Redmi 4x 0% won't charge

Hi.
Well this is a longer story. I try to tell the thumbnails.
The phone got (ocean) wet but didn't show problems for about a week or two then it stopped charging "normally" meaning charging got very slow and drained fast. Figured it was the little usb panel on the bottom. I ordered new one but putting it back together a screw stuck between the battery and the metal backplate. Pretty lame huh? I disassembled it fast so I thought sigh no problem. (the battery was on fire after i got it out and threw it on the ground in anger)
So I bought a new - not original - battery too. All ran fine again like it was before.
Then suddenly The phone turned off and looked like it was a bootloop.
Here's the interesting part because I don't remember if I already unlocked and put custom recovery / image on the phone before or only at this ponint. Mark this point.
After this, the phone only turned on while on the HP laptop's usb port with the little thunderbolt on it. Must have some tremendous juice or something. The phone shows 0% drained, not charging.
I switched cables, the usb part and battery again but still the same with both batteries, cables etc. Factory reset naturally.
My question is basically if this can happen because of a faulty/bad version/whatnot bootloader (I think i use TWRP) or this is a motherboard failure then? I don't have a HP laptop and have to search for one in case you say it does worth a try.
Thanks
