Hello, Since about 3 months ago I have installed a custom AOSP Pixel Experience ROM based on Android 13 on my phone.
I notice that there is always a permanent exclamation mark on both of the two signal bars, they only disappear when I turn on the mobile data.
Everything works good and no any problem with receiving calls or messages, but the look of those marks are so annoying and I even don't know the reason why they are present. Could I have some solutions for this?
My phone is rooted and LSPosed framework is already installed.

The thing is that....

But in the original stock ROMs even if i turn off the mobile data there is no exclamation marks.
Does this thing normal on custom roms and no way to solve it?

That thing is normal on custom roms and on stock android.
Now with stock android, it depends what skin of android. If it has the "vanilla" skin it might show exclamatory mark. However with others I don't think so.

Running latest CM7 stable mod and noticed recently my signal bars and network connection signal indicator stay white now. Used to always be green, occasionally turning white but usually only when signal strength was bad. But now they stay white.
Anyone know what this could mean, thanks in advance.

I'm pretty sure that means your not signed in to a google account, try making sure your sync is on in settings for gmail

Or check to see if Background Data is turned off.
Yeah, I did a little more research on this after I posted. I believe it does mean that I'm not connected to the Google servers cause my GMail doesnt upate until I manually synch (even though I have auto-synch enabled).
I tried the other suggestion but I already had Background Data enabled, so I just unchecked then rechecked it again.
Everything is all green again. Must have been a glitch where it wasnt recognizing.

Okay, my phone keeps reverting back to all white and does not switch back to green on its own. I have to manually force it via the method I described above.
Could this be an issue in CM7.0??? I would have posted in that thread but it wont let me since I dont have the required 10 posts.
I never had an issue with it resynching to green with CM7-RC2 and RC4.

I doubt it's a ROM issue but you could always flash it on top just to see. I think it's supposed to go white when the phone is "sleeping" fyi. Go into settings/sync and make sure bg data and auto sync are checked, then click your gmail acct in there, click all 3 boxes, that may also fix it.
Thx dude, I've double checked and all things you recommend I have checked and all are checked. So I'll just keep an eye on it and see if it keeps acting up and if I can narrow down the possible cause.
A reboot fixed this issue for me. Went all day and switched back and forth between green and white without me having to do anything.
Must have been some glitch hanging in the system that got cleared out on the reboot...weird how that happens some times.
Switching on Airplane Mode, then back off seems to refresh everything as well as a reboot does, for me anyway.
just something i noticed. when my phone storage space was "low" (below 15mb), my phone switched from green signal and data icons to white, and nothing would automatically sync for me. once i uninstalled an app to bump myself back up to above 15mb of free space, the icons turned green again and everything started syncing. I guess this is a built in feature?
Is there any reason to update from 4.2.2 to 4.3 other then the galaxy gear? Camera improvements or stability would be cool. In the notes it says nothing really, and it took so Long compared to the other phones. Where is 4.4 maybe we can get a small UI change.
After the OTA to 4.3, I can now get text messages read to me in my Honda through the Honda system using both my Active and Note 2. Just for this, the update was worth it so my wife doesn't fumble around with the phone with the baby in the back.
Shouldn't text and drive to begin with. There's never a more important text vs paying attention while driving.
Other than losing root and getting the ability to use a Galaxy Gear (maybe?) it doesn't look like much of an update.
GPS No Longer Functioning
After updating to 4.3, my GPS can't get a lock on my location. Does anyone else have the same issue?

I got "lock" (sort of), but very poor performance. My GPS thought I was about ½ mile south of actual location. Stayed that way for about 20 miles while driving (paralleling my actual position). Finally caught up to accurate position after 20 minutes.
Other problems since OTA 4.3:
Worse reception. At a location known for poor reception but usually enough signal for phone/text. I had 4 bars cellular and 4GLTE indicated. Tried making a call and got the "emergency call only" notification. Never saw that while bars and data both reflected on top of screen. Never lost bars or data indication but unable to make call until moving to different location. I know the bars are arbitrary and I was too busy trying to make a call to check actual signal strength in "about phone" but I thought it odd that even after getting the "Emergency Calls only" the phone continued to show 4 bars and good data.
Chrome browser freezes occasionally. The screen goes black except the upper left 480x540 pixels that remain on last image. Required FC to fix.
All three issues showed up within 24 hrs of 4.3 update, no prior history.

Ever since updating to M developer preview 2 the location dot goes gray when trying to access my location. On high accuracy, the GPS works just as it should. When I am on battery saver it is almost as if my location can't lock onto different WiFi in the area as it goes by. Sometimes when I am in one place the blue dot will appear , but upon moving location it will quickly gray out. I have WiFi and Bluetooth set to always scan....If I leave WiFi on at all times then it follows my location as it should. I know it is a developer preview , but I don't see anyone else reporting it. I flashed back to preview 1 and all is well. Happens on both hells and elemental kernel. Really looking for some guidance.... Thank you in advance.

No telling. Most don't report these bugs on these threads as M is full of bugs. They deal with them to be on latest. Someone will pop up and tellyou whether it is true bug or your flash. Just part of being beta tester on buggy previews. Lol
After flashing back to 100% stock, I have realized that it does not happen with the stock kernel. It does however occur with Elemental and Despair and Hells.....

I recently flashed my phone with [ROM][6.0.1|STOCK][D5803|D5833] 23.5.A.1.291 SLiMM 3.8 and I'm rather happy with it. But a few days ago, a new white box appeared in the right-hand side of the statusbar, next to the bluetooth icon. (see attached screenshot) I was using my phone as normal and I wasn't installing anything or changing any settings.
So I wonder what it is, and how I get rid of it. It's an eyesore for me, even though it probably doesn't do anything.
any thought or suggestions?

Weird lol maybe it is a corrupt icon for something like the mute icon or something similar
Try dirty flashing the ROM and that should solve your issue
Hi everyone I could do with some help my 3T will not turn on wifi or bluetooth, I have tried flashing different roms going back to stock but the only os I could get to boot is oxygenOS 3.5.1 if I update it just loops but it still has not wifi or bluetooth
I can get LineageOS 15.1 to boot however the bluetooth and wifi issues still prevail In TWRP i saw something about modem in red and in fastboot
baseband version in blank and so is bootloader version
Mac address is showing as 02:00:00:00:00
in advance wifi settings
I have tried using MSM thats how I can get stock os to boot

Have you been updating the Firmware when you update the ROM? It doesn't sound like it.

WiFi won't even switch on nor will Bluetooth
or NFC
any ideas would be helpful I'm currently trying to get an RMA for screen burn

I believe LOS 15.1 is using OB27 Firmware Blobs. Try flashing latest OB29 Firmware, followed by ROM.

It does sound like you might have a hardware failure, but lets hope not!
Thank you again but it's looking like a hardware fault I am going to try and get an RMA which I'm glad about really what with the notification area screen burn, I'm just glad its still under warrenty until Nov'18.

Here we go sorry about the quality I have just taken the snaps with my oneplus one
top left pull down area
and about 1 inch down the screen tone change white to slight orange.

I would say off white more than orange, the notifcations were there in the morning after I left the phone on a slow charger over night like 8hrs I never noticed that I had left the screen on, however 7-8hrs seems a bit **** must be a crappy panel my misses never turns her s7 screen off and its still fine
years later.

Nope not including that at all! (lets hope they are not reading this forum), thats why I was not to bothered about it but after the OTA update killed my wifi I had to I'm on all you can eat data from 3 but at my house the signal is weak until I get outside so it's really needed plus I'm really lazy and use my phone to change the tv chanel when I can't find the fire remote

I'm on 3 too, and never get a great indoor signal either. We're both on Oneplus phones, with a Carrier that has 800Mz band 4G, which is supposed to increase penetration of buildings, but neither of us can use it because 3 are the worst and won't enable VoLTE for us.
They suck!
Just a quick update, so I decided to download the Three app to pay my bill and as it started it asked me to disable wifi which I found odd as it's not working and then it pops up wifi networks in range bluetooth still not going but I never use it anyway.
How would the 3 app force the wifi module to start so very odd?
