I like to upgrade my BA ( XDA3) to WM5.0 but I van not unhide and unlock the xtended rom with the "xda-developers_Unlocker.CAB" I found here.
I believe that it is due to my german OS.
Please assist.

But now I have a diffrent issue. I have followed the instructions precisely to Upgrade to WM5 but now I am stuck on the bootscreen.
The upgrade was finished without error message and I did a hard reset and I pressed quickly the record and the WMP button but nothing happens.
By the way I get only the radiostack version ( 1.10.00) displayed.
Can someone help me, please?

Same problem with my device: Radio 1.10.00, ROM 1.40.01 Ger.
I also did upgrades and downgrades several times. Tryed with and without SD Card. Did press the buttons for up to 8 minutes.
I assume it could have to do with the unlock and resize of the ext Rom, that's the only thing i did not try yet.

fixed the problem by upgrading from O2 Ger Rom to the newest Vodafone Rom, following to WM5.

Did you carefully follow WM2005 -> WM2003 process described in wiki ?
It's very important that you resize, reformat ExtROM and do some other stuff before flashing back to WM2003.

Maybe You forgot to do as described in point "3" of downgrade process :
Prep your WM5 device by formating Storage and Hive.
Press Power + Softreset, and when the colored stripes (well, this is the bootscreen )shows on the screen.
If you have a PH20B device such as MDAIII, QTEK 9090, XDAIIs, PDA2K etc.
Quickly press Record+Camera before the versions appears at bottom right
OR, press Power+Softreset+Camera+Record at the same time.
If you have a PH20B1 device such as SX66
Quickly press Record+Windows Media before the versions appears at bottom right
OR, press Power+Softreset+Windows Media Player button+Record at the same time.
Either way mentioned above should work.
You'll see three options; change the second and the third to "yes".
If you have a PH20B device such as MDAIII, QTEK 9090, XDAIIs, PDA2K etc.
You can do that with the camera and the record buttons.
If you have a PH20B1 device such as SX66
You can do that with the Windows Media Player and the record buttons.
If you are done, press the mail button, it'll show a white screen for a while, just wait.
If the bootscreen, aka. the colored stripes is displayed, Wait more, you are booting.
The welcome screen to set up your device should appear soon.

This should've been done when you had WM2005.
I think it's important to do it, before trying to run Repart_DOC (on WM2003).
Any idea ?
If you've forgotten to do it. You probably will have to intall WM2005 again, do it, intall WM2003 and Repart_DOC it. HUh

So you say, you have WM2003 installed with Extrom CABs from some official ROM ? OK
I'm not familiar with this BT failure. Please tell me exactly what ROM are you using ( CE , Radio, ExtROM )
And what version of BT stack you have.
This error is caused by a portion of the Bluetooth memory being overwritten by something else. The people who are trying to help you are right...you need to reflash the device because something didn't work correctly last time.
I had a tool that restored BT MAC-address, but I cannot find it on HDD.
It was sent by imate tech support as a fix for the "bt license has expired" error, so you may try to contact them, or search this forum.

Looks Like every body is stuck...I had solved this problem twice and with full success...on ROM 1.4 pls install the Broadcom 1.6 cab and yes...yr problem is solved... :lol:

what u hv to do is use the Ext ROM Unlocker and use Repart_Doc...Set the size of yr Ext ROM...say 15 MB or so and then do the Repartitioning...now flash yr device...u will get yr Ext Rom Back with no such errors as reported by you

I am very new to upgrading\downgrading pc phones. I was trying to upgrade my wizard to upload diffirent language ROM, using this method :-

After some tries, I succeeded to upgrade rom, but after this power on the wizard and it stuck into startup screen.
If I press Camera + Power swich it shows three colour screen and some text :
IPL 2.16. 0001
SPL 2.16 0001
I think my device was CID locked and G4, and that is why I have a dead wizard.
I have backed up the phone before upgrading with wizBackup.exe and I have back files on my hard disk. I dont know how to restore rom from these backup files. :?: :?: :?:
Please help me to revive my PC.

Your phone is not dead!!!
If you can get to the three color sceen then your botloader is intact (and preserving the bootloader was the point with the tutorial that you followed).
Your phone is CID locked and is G4, that's right, but this is NOT the reason for the problem. The tutorial you followed, which incidentally I wrote, deals with CID locked G4 phone like yours.
The problem you had is probably due to a not correctly cooked rom.
Anyway, don't worry. You got the three colors screen so you can connect your phone to USB (even if activesync won't recognise it) and flash your factory rom (the one you were trying to replace). Don't need to use your backup: simply download the original rom from the manufacturer/operator site.

After many tries now my phone is working again,
I downloaded RUU_Prodigy_2170702_21707102_20710_QTEK_WWE_Ship from internet then cooked its nk.nbf file.
then uploaded the rom and phone is working again. Thanks for your help

hello. I have similar problem. I upgraded my wizard to AKU2.3 and now phone doesn't start. It start showing splash screen with the information:

I'm Stuck in BA WM6 Upgrading.
I was at the HTC_Blueangel_WM6_Wizzard Upgrade 4
After execute the installer file I performed a Hard Reset
Colored stripes (the bootscreen) will appear on the screen but I can't ge no debugger screen at all: the BA remain in Bootscreen with R 1.11.0 at the right bottom of the screen.The battery was full. I've tried the mtty procedure as well...no way out. Any clue ????

Mine is a Qtek 9090 and didn't have any trouble...
Same problem here, wm6 was already running; downgraded to 2003 SE to repartition the extrom, wanted to flash to wm6 again; now my xda3 is stucked after flashing, only r 1.10.0 is shown, no chance to carry on...???
I've got imate pda2k ct2cwj...and Heinzibua I'm stuck on R 1.11.00 do you have an Imate as well ??? cause I guess the official XDA procedure doesn't work for this kind of model (mine was an Italian W2003).

wm6 worked well on my xda3 , problem was only after repartitioning the extrom.
I'm going to think I did somenthing wrong during the extrom steps..so i've returned back to wm2003 and I'm going to try the upgrade again

running again
i repartitioned storage in 2003SE set to 20000 kb.
flashed to WM6, no problem now, storage is 41,25 MB, but running !!!
I did it too, I had to reinstalled w2003 and dit the Upgrading BA WM6 wizard again.....
after UNHIDE the rom, this time (and not in the previous upgrading), I did it the rom format using MTTY after that I ran the upgrade procedure and I got the WM6 running.
Happy for both of us to reach the goal......

try this...
1. downgrade to 2003
2. copy the utils to the phone(extrom utils and repart_doc.exe)
3. install extrom utils...
---a. tap unhide... ok.
---b. tap unlock... ok. may throw an error but still ok...
---c. reset...
4. run Repart_DOC
---a. Set it to 128 byte
---b. Go/Start/Format (it should succeed)
5. reset to bootloader
---(press and hold record + power button then stick reset)
6. flash WM6 ROM
7. cold boot (press and hold power button then stick reset)
8. (optional) if stuck in the "tri-color"(white isnt a color ) screen...
---Hard Reset. Using No/Yes/Yes option.
reading further about the Repart_Doc topics...
128byte is the smallest you can format/resize the extrom
to maximize the storage in WM6.

but now it works, after upgrading radio rom there also was no problem with upgrading to WM6; 60 MB rom; i only want to upgrade to radio rom 1.15, then i´m happy.

When i press the two buttons, like you descriped and it is shown in wiki, no meue is shown?!
Maybe Bootloader of my BA is not the newest? = R 1.10.00
Could you tell me how i can update it?

The bootloader is included in the ROM that you flash onto the device so that is not the issue. You must press the two buttons and hold them until the menu appears. It may take several attempts to succeed. The R that you are referring to represents Radio and has absolutely nothing to do with anything other than GSM operations.

okay... thanks for you info, but...
if R 1.10.00 is not the version of Bootloader i got no other on screen.
I pressed the record and media button while reset and after.
I pressed the buttons similar and step by step.
I pressed the buttons after battery reconneced.
I wait after reset without pressing buttons... nothing more happens then a screen with stipes an "R 1.10.00" is displayed in right bottom.
Buttons were working fine while i used WM2003 SE on the device, so i think bottons are not the problem... but where is the bug?
I am getting crazy... ???!
Maybe i should use a other rom?
Or try to use mtty? (see above)

So, in the three stripes screen you only see R 1.01.00 and no G xxxx.xx nor D x.xx.xx.xxx ?
Maybe that means that you have no OS installed. Have you tried reflashing the ROM ?
Also, which ROM and program are you using to flash ?

i dont know about R G and D terminologies...
but we think "R 1.10.00" stands for your RADIO Version... not the ROM.
and since you're not showing the "G xxx.xx" and "D x.xx.xx.xxx"...
i second JP... it's a bad ROM Flashing...
try to flash back the old rom and retry the upgrade.

and i have installed MS-Activesync 4.5.
I flashed the original o2-rom back and it works. WM2003 SE booting.
Than i flashed the HELMI_BA_WM6 and it was completed with 100%, no errors, but then after hardreset the same screen with stripes an R 1.10.00
Any more ideas?

Guys i think i have a similar problem.
I flashed my BA many times and it worked, back and forth WM5 to WM6 and so forth, until on Fri. I had accidentaly moved files and then deleted them from the windows dir. When I flashed the then WM6 to downgrade to WM5, it worked. When I used DOC resize tool to format my storage (didn't know about th mentined method) as usual (this worked many times before) & flashed to to WM6 then it got stuck at the 4 colors.
I tried what is wrote here and I am stuck at the white screen. nothing happening. It's been like that for an hour now. If i soft reset it, and try again it's the same nothing has changed.
any ideas?
