Hi. First of all I want to make my compliments for Tuatara for his hard work to give us the opportunity to use WM5 to Qtek 9090.
I have installed on my QTEK 9090 the TuMA V.1.4 and I can say that it's very sound for me. I am just looking to see the new V. 1.5 as everyone.
Now my only problem is to use the TuMA v. 1.4 in Italian. Anyone knows if there is a CAB language file that will enable me to use TuMA 1.4 in Italian Language?.
There is a procedure to enable T9 Italian language for the SMS?.

I have run into the same problem as you, but in Spanish in my case. I've found that I can use the same files I used in my old Himalaya from Buzz Lightyeaar's site. For Spanish there are 3 files, one rar file you have to decompress in the Windows folder, and two CAB files, one of which is the templates and the other one that I don't know what it is for. Only thing I have to do is move the files in \Windows\startup to the \Windows\inicio (don't know the Italian name for startup and the ones from \Windows\Start Menu\Programs to \Windows\Menu Inicio\Programas, but only the files that were not already there with their Spanish name. Everything seems to point to the same files and programs from Himalaya to BlueAngel.

I have downloaded and played a bit with the Microsoft Device Emulator (a WM2003SE og WM5 Pocket PC on your PC, a lot of fun!) and it has a norwegian languague version as well. Can I copy files from that to give my WM5 Blue Angel a norwegian WM5? That would really be cooooool! 8)

Changeing OS language, till WM203,we can change with replacing MUI files from Emulater.
But on WM5.0, the system files on ROM shall be ignored and cant effective,if the over writed on the original.
Only the way you have to make your ROM with MUI of your language and flash it.
i am working how to replace (over right) on to ROM system files now, but my poor skill can not find solution yet.

Well this is how the situation stands :
I have followed up the instructions given for cooking my own rom. What i have done is to extract the ROM given by the Greek QTEK for qtek 9100 (aku 2.0) .
I have also downloaded the Greek rom for HTC p3300 in order to find a aku 3.2 rom in greek. I havent; extracted it , yet.
Does anyone know what are the Language Files that I have to take and put back in the Customized Rom so as the ROM to support greek?
There is two ways to localize ROM
1) by localization from Extended ROM (CAB file)
2) by mui files in ROM
2) mui files are *.mui in windows folder; (in the end of file name isexample) 0405 = English, 0409 = Czech).
You must write them to the ROM and than change several registry tweaks and add certifikate to windows

Note: you need to get mui files of the same OS version (at least same AKU level), or some strange things may occur when some resources items could not be found in the mui files you provided.
Hello altogether,
when I understood it right, Windows Mobile works with MUI-Files. So, it should be possible to add german language to an WWE-Rom. Does someone know, where to get such files for WM 5 and 6 and how to implement them? Thanks in advance.
Latest MUI files in German (that I know) are for AKU2.3, so for AKU3 and WM6 Roms you will have to create your own files or edit older files...

most used Applications like Manila, Calculator, Phone dialer, The Notification enhancment and more!
For other Language Packs please support me!
For Manila Files just use the Notepad (they are XML files)
For the Mui files use this tutorial klick here!
For Opera language files just take it from the older opera!

or the new (old?) one:

if you set the MUI language via registry to german (0407) the muifiles with 0407 extension are used! but if the 0407 fiels are corruped, not signed or anything else it won't used!
and i have the same problem with your mui files!
there is still no text on the notification manager
I use the german language cab for Laurentius V2.2 Topazrom.
But there is a foult on the calenderscreen:
The days are not Montag, .. but IDS_calender_Dayvie...
-only shown as ids, but if you select today you see the whole word.
Is there a way to change that?

I have been in the middle for some time now to cook a Danish Language Rom for my Xperia X1 using WM6.5.1 and Rhodium OEM.
Since we lost the ability to have regional language pack after Da_G was contact by a guy claiming to be a Microsoft Internet Investigator. We lost these files.
I found a WM6.5 Rhodium danish Rom (The official one) and ran extracted a got packages out of it.
Then I thought I got the language pack that I needed. But then I try to compile the rom with the language pack from the HTC rom (WM6.5 build 21xxx) inserted in the SYS folder I get the error "tahombda.ttf" already exists" This error accurs do to something happening in the Base_lang_0406 folder I took from the HTC rom. Don't know what it is cause the folders and their contens are identical.
Any idears? Why SYSTEM_DEFAULT_FRONTS from build 23071 can conflict with Base_lang_0406 from build 21xxx?
I know there's an issue with the danish language on some level, Itje has run in to it aswell with his multilanguage rom. I would ask him if i were you. Don't know much more, but I hope it helps

If I delete default fronts folder the rom build look like sh*t! But I will ask him thanks.
