any on help me to hard reset my mda 9100 please!
Go to settings --> Clear Storage or press the VoiceDialButton and CommManager button at the same time and press the Soft Reset button (still holding the 2 other buttons).

You can use psshutxp for hard reset
there's a hidden option is your press on the windows logo.

Let me tell you the story of my Himalaya. In september I upgraded to the great Tofclock WM6 posted by helmi. Last week it was on its holder when I received a phone call, which I couldn't answer. When I took the PPC out of the cradle, neither phone, nor calendar, nor contacts worked any more. They don't appear when I push their buttons or when I call them from Start-Programs.
I have tried soft resets (soft, pen), hard resets (PWR+pen), I have even reinstalled twice tofclock's WM6 and once Sheckar's. I haven't reached yet to fix this problem.
Can you help me, friends??

did you format reg hive and storage after the reflash?
3. Hard reset your pda.
Press ResetButton and hold down CameraButton + RecordButton.
Hold them pressed until the "Boot Options" menu appears on the screen.
Select the options as follows:
(for selecting use RecordButton, change values with CameraButton)
Enable KITL -> NO
Clean Registry Hive -> YES
Format Storage -> YES
When done, press DPad and wait until OS starts

My MDA Vario III keeps making a noise then shutting itself down. It does this several times a day. A real pain im sure you can imagine! Is there a software fix or am I going to have to send it back to T-Mobile for a new one?

Have you tried a hard reset to remove any dodgy applications you may have installed?
If yes then bodge it off to T-Mo.
and how would one perform this hard reset you speak of?

For the hard reset in particular, press and hold both soft keys on the front of the device, and press the reset button with your stylus. Release the reset button, but continue holding the soft keys for another 5 seconds. The screen will display a warning that pressing "Send" will erase all data. Press the Send button. **This will erase all of your data**
I am new member, but I have my first problem with my HTC from T-mobile!
The phone starts after Hardreset, but stop at the green Windows Mobile 6 Logo.
Every time.
I have change my reg. and I think thats the Problem.
What can I do?
I can not reach the HTC with the USB or ActiveSync.

Are you sure you have "hard" reset?
A hard reset will undo any changes you have made to the device since the rom was flashed.
Try a proper hard reset:
hold the volume down and action button (centre of buttons) down whilst pushing the soft reset button (inside stylus holder).

I have just bought a D2 in Hong Kong (Chinese Cantonese version).
I need to do a hard reset as it seems to have some issues.
I have followed the instructions - Vol up and down and power on for a moment and hold the Vol up & down but nothing seems to happen.
Any ideas?

This is actually the original Diamond forum, not Diamond 2 so you may want to post there instead (Topaz). Isn't there an option in the settings to hard reset the device like there is for Diamond? Have you tried holding volume down whilst holding the centre key in and pressing the red reset button? This is how you hard reset a Diamond, may be Diamond 2 is different

In case anyone else finds this post, the method I was trying did eventually work - the key is to press the power button 'very' momentarily.
