Hi Mates i have Imate-K jam wiza200
last night i planned to upgrade it. and downloaded the ( See No Evil V2.0 ) WM6 Rom.
i started the upgrade process. and it stucked at 99% and now when i start my device its only displaying 3 colour texture screen and only written.

and now its also not connecting to any usb. but when i put the usb. the usb label appears on the bottom left corner of my device. so please suggest me which rom i will use to fix that problem.

You need to CID unlock AND you need to upgrade to an official 2.xx rom BEFORE flashing a WM6 upgrade as they don't contain IPL/SPL and you will have all sorts of issues flashing a 2.xx or higher os into 1.xx bootloaders.
And I would suggest at the very least reading all the sticky posts in this forum before you continue with your flashing mission, it will save you from some unnecessary stress and anguish over why your device isn't responding to a flash the way you wanted it to.

Well i bought MDA Vario in germany so WM5 was german but i dont understand german (well maybe , ja and nien ) so i discover this site .. very nice and full of information but when i did a search and i didt find similar problem so here is my problem.
I updated my phone with Qtek_9100_1_6_7_ENG__OS_ONLY and now every time i power on the phone i see (three color) display and some text IPL 2.21.0001 and SPL 2.21.0001 and thats all (when i connect USB i see text in bottom left corner - USB).
If i want to update with for exmple:AKU_3.2_by_ell_3.32.2 my update goes to 99% and thats all (Update tool on PC is 100%).
And when i take the battery out and in again i see three-color display again :S.
What software do i need to use to get my PPC (MDA Vario) working again?
Can i fix this problem my self or i need to take it to the profesional repairman?

You have G4 Wizard (IPL/SPL like 2.x.001), so you can only flash ROM without IPL/SPL. And now you can see bootloader (utility for flashing ROM). That ROM, you used, is not for your device, that's why you can see bootloader now. You need rom without IPL/SPL. ELL's ROM AKU 3.2 is very unstable, and it is not for your device too, don't use it. I can recommend Molski's ROM - www.molski.biz
SO, what to do:
1. download new ROM - http://www.molski.biz/downloads/roms/RUU_Molski.Biz_226102_22610105_022511_G4_WWE-30MB.exe - it is ROM for your Wizard.
2.Turn on, your Wizard - you will see your "three colors" screen - bootloader
3.Connect your Wizard to usb cable and start flashing. It will stay at 98% for a few minutes, don't disconnect it.
This ROM works fine. Give some feedback, after flashing this one.

Jst One little question.
Is there a list of G4 Roms available?
I know for FPT of XDA but some roms are not labled G4,or G3.
So wich ROMS are for G4 Devices.

If the rom is not speciffically labeled as g4 then it is a g3...g4 is relatively new stuff so in the old times roms where not separated in g3/g4..
as is said above i would recommend molski's ROMs ive had 2 of them both excellent and highly stable and he clearly labels them so if u need to upgrade its obvious which file u need
No, there is no list of G4 ROMs (I think) You need ROM without IPL/SPL.G4 Wizard is IPL/SPL like 2.x.001, and G3 like 2.xx. So, you will have to look for ROMs without it. But Molski's ROM is one of the lastest, and works fine. If you want any other ROM, try to search here, but on ftp there is no list of ROMs for G4

try this
Firware an old rom back on the device prefrebly the one you ohone came with and make sure you phone is cid unlocked. Also have you tried a hard reset

A couple of things to start with. First of all get you device back working. As mentioned by epimazzo above, force your device into bootloader and flash a stock ROM not a cooked one. Read the thread.
Once you have got your device working start reading before making any more rash decisions about upgrading to WM6 (especially when the file name hints that it is for a Prophet and not a Wizard). There is only one leaked Crossbow ROM for a Wizard. This has been cooked a few times (Orwell, PDAViet, Underground). There are many threads on the merrits of each ROM but you need to read read read before you end up with a brick.
Fixed Boot crash problem
Thank you Guys for all the help; I got it back running.
formatted : Push the network button and the voice button and reset then release the rest and you get the balck screen that has the press send button and that formats Wizard and then
Push the Power + Voice + Camera and I get the Red Green and White screen. quickly Update the ROM to the origunal one I have T-Mobile. It worked. You guys are the best. I found 5._Underground_edition_Crossbow_ROM But I was not able to flash it. I need to unlock the CID but I read that I would have to down grade the Wizard and then Unlock the CID. I am still looking for the old ROM.i think I found it. If anybody has a better way to Unlock the CID please tell me.

my t-mobile mda compact got hanged at the bootloader mode(3 color mode) while upgrading to wm6 rom.i had done everything as told in vlodeck's thread about upgrading to wm6.but got stuck in 3 col mode.also tried to glash it with t-mobile official rom.but its giving me an connection error while upgrading.my 3 color mode displays only following text

did you try tmobile orginal rom?there are some orginal tmobile roms on xda-developers.you can find link in this forum and try them.they should work.how do u know your battery is %96?is your wizard opening correctly?also wizard rom has omap be sure overclock status isnt active,also download latest active sync.if already installed uninstall and install new version....i hope you will be able to fix..cheers

Before your do this charge your phone full using.. power adoptor. first..
then put it in bootloader mode..( 3 color screen ) then install above rom.

your device are G3. have you cid-unlocked your wizard? i would suggest you to flash your wizard to its original rom. then we'll work from there if the problem is still there. goodluck
hey nasir what r u saying.i thought my device was g4 as per the g4 thread.& i was making the attempts to flash just like the g4 thread.plzz clarify all u guys is my device a g3.coz i read somewhere that installing a g3 rom on a g4 bricks the device totally .

Your device is a G4. You gave your IPL/SPL as 2.06.001 which is a G4 if it were a G3 your IPL/SPL would only be 2.06. You aren't doing anything wrong by following the G4 directions.
A *G3* Wizard will have the following:
IPL: 1.xx *or* 2.xx *or* 2.xx.00x (Note that this version only has *TWO* 0's.).
_SPL: 1.xx *or* 2.xx *or* 2.xx.00x (Note that this version only has *TWO* 0's.)_
A *G4* Wizard will have the following:
_IPL: 2.xx.000x (Note that this version has *THREE* 0's.)_
_SPL: 2.xx.000x (Note that this version has *THREE* 0's.)_

iam really sorry fikri bhai.actually I didn't posted the correct info.I checked it 1nce again and it was like ipl & spl both are 2.06.0001.thus clearly its a g4.but iam still not able to get the correct working rom on my piece.now iam getting totally frustated with roms.only the wizard love rom is working & that too with no speaker sound and 0% battery error.even when the led shows green light
have you tried official tmobile AKU 3.8 rom? i find it very stable and fast. if you have tried many roms and the problem still persist, sorry, i have no idea to help you. all d best

I have a K-Jam.Recenlty I tried upgrading my kjam to the faria WM6 ROM which got to 99% and then it hanged there.Atlast i reseted the device but then RGB screen came.After that i tried a no of ROMs since then with no luck, stuck completely in the RGB screen.I also tried this ROM at http://www.america.htc.com/support/8125/software-downloads.html but it says that wrong Vendor ID,i think its not for Kjam.
In RGB screen IPL 1.01 and SPL 1.01 displays.When i connect it with notebook then "usb" also displays in the bottom of screen. Please tell me how can i make the device work again ?
Follow the sticky to download buttons 1.05 ROM, then unlock the wizard and try again (You need to first flash a ROM that have 2.xx IPL/SPL)

I bought a G3 Wizard, and I fell in love with it, this is not new, i fall in love with all my mobiles and PDAs.
I have a Himalaya too which is much more simple than Wizard regarding upgrading. and here we go
I followed the instructions in the sticky thread titled:

I found it very helpful. I followed mainly the FARIA version too, i was reading the 2 threads in parallel to double check my understanding.
it all went great .. till the IPL/SPL upgrade step, i followed my guess that i dont need to go though the 2.26 ROM to update afterwards to 3.08. so i upgraded to 3.08 and all went well.
the next was to upgrade to any WM6.1 versions. and for my sorrow, all of them failed to update.
the failure it self was a piece of art. after the completion of the update taking its 10 mins, it just hard reset my device. no new rom is installed.
my guess was, go back to 1.05 and go to 2.26 instead of 3.08
i did that and found my IPL/SPL changed from 3.08/3.08 to 1.01/3.08 even though the rom is supposed to have both of them equaling 1.05
ignoring this fact "an error i'll regret soon" i tried to upgrade to any WM6.1 ROM and voalla
I BRICKED MY BELOVED WIZARD.
yes thats right, it stuck at 98% and sowed a failure message. allowing me only to follow the recovery steps. and i got this 4 strips screen (i'm counting the white strip too)
any way, after trying with different roms, different uti upgrading file, all reached the point of failure.
so, i kinda lost hope, and removed the batt, the SIM and left the device like this for 4 hours or even more.
i returned from work, and prayed to god to help me. i cant live without my beloved Wizard.
and the only thing i could do was to try to install the button 1.05 rom again. i tried b4 the 4 hours break, and it failed just like the others.
i dont know how but while praying , the mobile continued to flash the rom and booted completely!!!
now, after this story, here is my current status,
IPL/SPL = 1.01/3.08
ROM : button 1.05
additional info: i'm afraid of trying to upgrade to WM6 or WM6.1,may be i get it bricked for life this time!!!!
should i use WST to restore my old IPL/SPL?
what can i do to use WM6 or 6.1?

Try to install an official rom from cingular or t-mobile and then try to upgrade to wm6.1

Perhaps! your phone is still CID locked and you upgraded to 3.08,sometimes,while downgrading from 3.08 to 1.xx,spl freezes at 3.08,now try to upgrade back to 3.08 and downgrade first to 2.xx by flashing the official rom and then downgrade to 1.xx.
or,download the latest version of WST 4.2.2 and check the CID lock/unlock status,if its still locked,you can try to CID unlock with WST 4.2.2,its seen,it sometimes performs the CID unlock with different SPL other then 1.xx,atleast one user did report this successful.
