First of all - it's impossible to delete it. Probably you've hide it... Just do a hard reset and it should be back

Exactly. As I said earlier, probably your USB port in your PC has too low currency, thus not being able to charge your device.
Can you synchronize your device with this cable? And... are you using the same cable, while charging from a wall?
Yes I can sync sucessfully wid the usb cable..my wall charger is blasted ..i only charge with USB..

Yes, i'm in bootloader mode (RECORD+POWER+ACTION+RESET) and then see text on display "SERIAL".
Maybe WM6 lock USB connection?
Intrested that if i load WM6 as normally - synchronization via USB work fine.
do u see USB at top...Connect cable directly to PC
Why dun you try loading other version of WM6? Maybe it is not as bad as what you think to make you go back to 2003?
yes, i would suggest you to try C_Shekhar's *Fast* WM6 AKU7.0c.R40.P24 at:

I guess some of the pioneers (itsme, buzz_lightyear, peter poelman and so on) should know. Buzz is still active on his own forum, haven't seen the others for quite a while. Perhaps dig deep in the wiki, dig up some very old threads, PM them...
yeah maybe..but some one also posted a topic regarding Flashing via SD card on buzzdev..but i dnt think he got the answer
Hello everyone. I have the kaiser from 3 months. I didn't use it the last month and when I plugged to the pc usb it show me some crazy stuff. My baterry was empty when i first turn it on now, but it gest charged with the pc usb.
I am using l26 v8 light ROM - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=400118:
R 1.58.25.17
G 25.69.30.05H
D 3.28.00.00
The hard-spl is v3.29 .
When i first get it now, what I did first was to format the SDHC 4gb card cause i saw a new version of the leo's rom. Then I turn the Kaiser on and saw the empty battery. I did 3-4 hard resets, preinstall my windows, preinstall m$ activesync 4.5, tried on another pc but still the same. I don't put any sim card to it. Still nothing, any help ?
Hard reset :$
This was only option for me.
Or try other usb port, or on other deviece.
sorry to ask this but did ur mini usb cable is in good condition ?
have u tried to flash ur stock rom & try to connect with ur PC?
my mini usb is in good condition. i have 3 and tried them all.
I haven't tried to flash my stock rom for 2 reasons- i don't know where to get it from and secondly how could i flash it without usb connection ? Error 260 then i try any ruu.exe files ;(
edit: i have some soft on my sdhc which i formatted first and then turn on the phone from a month with an empty battery- could that cause something ?

Try what Hang sad, and check in Activesync if USB conections are alowed if u can try another usb cord. Wich Windows do u use?
of course u can use ur SD to flash ur rom. card reader will help. for more info maybe u can read the wiki there were many stock rom available for download.
@theclear tried it with 3 different mini usb cables, on 2 PC,on the first pc I preinstalled the windows xp. All PCs are running winXP.
@hang.tuah my kaiser is from orange UK, which rom do you advice me to flash from ???
and another question, when i put a stock rom would i again install the hardspl and the other stuff or once they are installed there is no reason to do that ?
So flashed a new rom - [June 25] L26_KaiserDiamond_V9 (new source!) and again it still the same problem ;( What if I flashed another ROM ? Not a stock rom but another ?
1.71.09.01 install this rom now and it is still the same ;(
i would try to connect it to another pc to make sure that some paranoid 3th party program you installed dident decide to black devices trying to connect using usb

is there a way to plug a flash memory or a hard drive to the TyTN II and browse it ?
like the toshiba g900 -
There's a way to add an external camera(at least I heard there is), so pending that's true, why wouldn't there be? You'd just have to come up with a proper way of adapting it.
Than again, I'm not sure if there are or aren't specific drivers in one that aren't in the other. I personally would like to find out for sure.
I have an adapter and i found this http://www.deje.gmxhome.de/software.html ( on the bottom) but it dosn't work
the tytnII has no built-in host-controller for usb, so no chance
So is this a dead end ?

yes i think it is because the kaiser doesn't have a built-in host-controller for usb as edi said.
The Celio Redfly would give USB host capability to the Kaiser, maybe try installing to drivers here.
Honestly said I'm still a noob and i don't know "Celio Redfly" does and it is the first time I hear it
dude did you actually try it
you must have a redfly device to get the job done if you were succesful!

Couldn't somebody try extracting the drivers from said Toshiba PDA that would make it possible to use the USB to hook up an external drive?

Can be done or not
No, it can't be done,
Usb Host functionality is not just a piece of software you simply can install.
If there's no USB host controller in the Hardware you can install whatever you want.
If it can NOT be done why do some of you say IT CAN BE DONE ???
I think it could be done because frankly people are always seeming to make hardware do what it wasn't designed to do.
You need a USB-Host Controller ... Kaiser dont have it ...
Good Afternoon,
First i'd like to thank everyone for the great forum we built.
Don't know if anyone explained this before, but i was unable to find.
I've always been able to flash new roms. I've got SPL 1.07.ds. Last Rom I flashed was Finix'n'over 's Ultra Light.
Today, while trying to flash a new rom, i pressed ROMUpdateUtility.exe, as usual, everything seemed ok, but when into spl i just get serial port (not USB port) and PC just can't find the device. Anyone, plz?
Thanks in advance.

You could either use the Flash from SD method, or use this Flash Utility attached. Unzip, then copy your RUU_Signed.nbh file to this folder and flash. I apologize, I don't know whose this is, but it works for me every time. I hope it works for you...
thanks for your fast reply.
Will try it as soon as i get home.
Was afraid i might had brick it.

I think now days, there are so many work arounds, that it's pretty hard to end up with a permanant brick.
If what I sent does not work, reply back and let us know. I'm sure someone will get it going again.
Update: If it still does not flash using the above method, then try the SD method. Make sure you have an SD Card in your Trinity and that it is NOT an SDHC Card. Be sure it's formatted FAT32 and has NO NAME. Unzip the included attachment, and copy the SSPL.exe to your SD Card's Root Directory. Then rename the RUU_Signed.nbh file from the ROM of your choice to TRINIMG.nbh, and copy it to the Root Directory of your SD Card.
Go to the File Explorer, and browse to the SD Card Root Directory and run the SSPL.exe file. This should initiate the Flash Process. Again, good luck.
On rare occasion, I've not been able to flash any cooked ROM. In this case, flash back the OEM ROM originally installed on your Trinity. After this flash, it will work again with cooked ROMs.
Thanks for your help. None of the methods above seem to work.
How do i flash the original ROM if i cannot flash the TRIN?

So the SD Method did not work either? Strange, try flashing the OEM, but for that purpose, I always use the SD Card method. So far, it's always worked.
Pull the RUU_Signed.nbh from the OEM ROM and rename it to TRINIMG.nbh, (I've done this step in the Linked zip file) Copy it to your SD Card and try that method... This will flash back your radio also, so you will need to update it again if you've changed it.
For my phone, I use this ROM:
This is the Full ROM - - My Mirror of Full ROM
Click Here for the needed files
Yours might need something else, but this works for me.
Thanks man!!! SD Flash works...
after you repeat the name in second post, i realise what i've done wrong...

Are you able to use the USB for Sync and data transfer? Wondering if it could be a bad USB Port on your Trinity. Or cable?
May i have a question?
I flash my PDA with micro sd with adapter.
Is it possible?
Thanks SuperSport!!! You rule... My stupidity got me to this state :S i recall one night, i missed the hole to softreset with stylus.... probably i caught the usb pin, which moved to the top of other pin...
Don't Know how ActiveSync continued detecting device.... got the pin into its correct position... Everything ok now! Thanks a lot for your patience and time man!!!

I have done it with an adapter, as long as it's NOT an SDHC card. My 2GB Micro SD in a Mini SD Adapter worked fine. Just be sure to follow the above instructions.
