**** !my phone became a madbox

my t-mobile mda compact got hanged at the bootloader mode(3 color mode) while upgrading to wm6 rom.i had done everything as told in vlodeck's thread about upgrading to wm6.but got stuck in 3 col mode.also tried to glash it with t-mobile official rom.but its giving me an connection error while upgrading.my 3 color mode displays only following text

can you explain more? what happen after u got stuck while upgrading to wm6? then what did u do when u trying to flash it back to wm5?

did you try tmobile orginal rom?there are some orginal tmobile roms on xda-developers.you can find link in this forum and try them.they should work.how do u know your battery is %96?is your wizard opening correctly?also wizard rom has omap be sure overclock status isnt active,also download latest active sync.if already installed uninstall and install new version....i hope you will be able to fix..cheers

instructions on how to use the original rom can be found here

Before your do this charge your phone full using.. power adoptor. first..
then put it in bootloader mode..( 3 color screen ) then install above rom.

your device are G3. have you cid-unlocked your wizard? i would suggest you to flash your wizard to its original rom. then we'll work from there if the problem is still there. goodluck

hey nasir what r u saying.i thought my device was g4 as per the g4 thread.& i was making the attempts to flash just like the g4 thread.plzz clarify all u guys is my device a g3.coz i read somewhere that installing a g3 rom on a g4 bricks the device totally .

Your device is a G4. You gave your IPL/SPL as 2.06.001 which is a G4 if it were a G3 your IPL/SPL would only be 2.06. You aren't doing anything wrong by following the G4 directions.

A *G3* Wizard will have the following:
IPL: 1.xx *or* 2.xx *or* 2.xx.00x (Note that this version only has *TWO* 0's.).
_SPL: 1.xx *or* 2.xx *or* 2.xx.00x (Note that this version only has *TWO* 0's.)_
A *G4* Wizard will have the following:
_IPL: 2.xx.000x (Note that this version has *THREE* 0's.)_
_SPL: 2.xx.000x (Note that this version has *THREE* 0's.)_

iam really sorry fikri bhai.actually I didn't posted the correct info.I checked it 1nce again and it was like ipl & spl both are 2.06.0001.thus clearly its a g4.but iam still not able to get the correct working rom on my piece.now iam getting totally frustated with roms.only the wizard love rom is working & that too with no speaker sound and 0% battery error.even when the led shows green light

have you tried official tmobile AKU 3.8 rom? i find it very stable and fast. if you have tried many roms and the problem still persist, sorry, i have no idea to help you. all d best

Plz be specific from where did u download the official rom,which u said u tried to flash.was it from official i-mate club ftp site and what was the version of the rom u tried to install,cuz they don't have any upgraded version on this site apart from the last wm5 dated year 2006. i-mate is not offering any wm6 upgrade to any of its products.
secondly, which other rom u tried to flash afterwards?
as far as ur attached pics r,if u can reach to this screen than do not worry about the upgrade info,as it's sometime displayed and sometimes not,just hit the upgrade.
if it completes than it's alright,but if it stucks for a very long time and displays any error message.it means it has not upgraded.

secondly,tell what exactly happened and what error r u getting.

ur phone's ipl/spl 2.16,it's a AKU 2 version,therefore check the rom with which ur trying to update shud also be aku2.the update rom shud be newer than the one already on ur phone.

So what i doing Now can you fined to me any solution plz ...

can you tell what exactly is the problem you are having at present is it that:-
1. you are not able to complete flash,it stops and give some error,if so then what error it shows ?
2.RUU starts to flash,but when it comes to the screen where it verifies the updating rom's info,there you don't see any info,as per your first post,than you discard the update?
3. is the version of the rom newer your are trying to update with then the one already on your device
plz verify these ?

Ok,lets try this way out,try to do a hard reset,to perform hard reset :-
1. Press and hold the Comm Manager button and Voice Command button on the device,than
2.While keeping the two buttons pressed with one hand, and at the same time,with other hand,use the stylus to lightly press and hold the soft reset button.
the device will reboot and restart again,see if it starts to work alright.If still freezes at the splash screen,than I'll suggest you do this,it really sometimes help and I have solved my problem so many times by doing this :-
Reboot your PC, run disk clean on Drive C:\,delete all the Temporary internet files,Temp files rather check mark all the options in the disk clean wizard option and hit ok,this will delete all the junk files from your PC,now delete all the cookies in the internet options,after doing all this,switch on your phone and go into Bootloader mode(tri color screen),when there than connect your phone to the pc using usb cable but don't active sync your phone,cancell active sync if need be,when you connect your phone with pc via usb,look at the screen of your phone you will see a little usb shown at the bottom of the screen.
Now open the rom which you downloaded and execute the Ruu..,it will start to flash,let it complete ,it will confirm flash and reboot,it start now and work normal, I hope,it will solve this problem remember don't do anything else with the pc like browsing the web or reading e-mails,playing games or working on Microsoft office,don't touch you pc and phone while the rom flashes.
Well,there is another way also,but as you want the official arabic version rom on your phone,do it first as i told you above,if it works,good,otherwise we will do the second method good luck

Hmmm, sry to say I observed you joined this forum on Dec,2006 and posted 57 times,just went through your posts and was amazed that you already have gone through this unlocking and upgrading on different devices,well you seem to have quite knowledge about all this,than how come you are stuck with this problem now ?

ok, what is the present status of your phone ? what ipl/spl...? it shows in bootloader mode ?
as you posted in another thread that you tried to flash wizard_love_rom,but did not succeed,earlier you only wanted to upgrade to an official arabic i-mate k-jam rom.Now do you want to upgrade to any rom ? by unlocking the phone ? or just want your phone to work by any means ? if yes,then there's another option to get your phone working,I really hope so.Plz confirm what you want to do now ?

ERROR [294] : INVALID VENDER ID
these error messages appear when you use the wrong RUU to do the upgrade. RUU will check if the Model ID and Language ID are compatible with the device.
Well, as I can think,you had an Arabic rom version OS 2.16.9.1 Arabic on your phone before and tried to flash a wwe version rom.the bootloaders verified and did not accept the rom.So a bad flash and splash screen got freezed,the only way is to flash and try to downgrade to IPL/SPL 1.xx and CID unlock the device and upgrade to another rom to start working, or flash the official stock Arabic rom to bring back the phone to it's default status,but the official rom you downloaded and tried to flash was of the same OS version didn't flash correctly and got splash screen stuck.Therefore,the only option left at present is to try and downgrade it to IPL/SPL 1.xx.The options are :-
1.Try to flash again button's rom 'CUSTOM__RUU_Wizard_1050412_WWE_101_11210_WWE.exe ' Which you already have with you,a couple of times more and see if it might work,
2.Otherwise download this rom from the link below and flash,hope it'll work :-

If successful,good,but if still fails,
3.there's still another option to flash the rom with replaced 'Romupdateutility' in the rom,which I'll explain how to do it later,

Wizard ROM Upgrade Error

Every time I try to upgrade to WM6 and run the XP_ROMUpdateUtility.exe I keep getting the error:
Erroe [300]Invalid update tool
Please get a newer update utility

u can grab that from link below.. but before that u confirm that ur device is g4 type, and make sure u r connected via active sync..not bootloader. or it wont work..i had same problem.. i solved with this..currently i am using..TNT's wm6..good Luck..

Fixed the problem...
copied the nk.nbf that I wanted on my wizard (am giving the TNT.1933_Professional___HTC_Home_Wizard a go) into the SoftSPL-V0.1, then ran the 2.exe and it all worked OK

You see it when you go into bootloader.
Hold the camera button, the press in the soft reset button. Continue holding camera until rainbow screen shows up showing you your ipl/spl.

Is my K-Jam totally bricked?

Is my K-Jam totally bricked?
It is now stuck up in bootloader screen.
I am able to swtch it off with power button. I can also have first flash screen.
On connecting with USB port, it shows yellow light indicating that it is charging & that over a period of time, goes green.
Earlier I had flashed TNT ROM but while reflashing newer it got stuck up as after flashing, I tried to hard reset [mistakenly thought ROM is flushed fully] & could not go further after initail first screen.
Other details:
IPL:2.16
SPL:2.16
GSM:02.07.10
O.S.:11.0.0.2
May some one help?

Nopes ! its not 'Bricked' just had a bad flash. As long as it gets into bootloaders ,its perfectly safe. Perhaps,your phone is not CID unlocked ?
Download the official carrier's rom from its website and flash it in the bootloaders,it'll start to work fine.Then read the guide to cid unlock and upgrade.

i am having serious problems with my kjam.i installed black diamond's rom and now my phone boots upto the splash screen where it shows window mobile 6 and gets stuck there.
i have tried a soft spl, but it doesnt help as the phone cant connect or move from the splash screen.also, i can make call or do anything with the phone.
can someone assist me and also point me to a place where i can find the lastest tnt rom.

Always post vital data of the phone,which is your device G3 or G4.Have you Tried Soft Reset or Hard Reset.it sometimes help.
Well,if it's a G3,is it SIM/CID unlocked,cuz its required to get the phone CID unlocked to upgrade to wm6,but if its a G4,then use method 'SoftSPL' or 'HardSPL' as it cannot be CID unlocked.
Post IPL/SPL...? of the phone here.
You can find all the latest wm6 Roms in 'Wizard Mobile 6' forum.

'Hard Reset' the phone,hope it'll work fine.
Well,I assume,you cudn't do the SoftSPL correctly the first time,try to apply the SpftSPL again correctly,if it works,ok,otherwise you can upgrade to wm6 with HardSPL method.
