PAY SPECIAL ATTENTION TO STEPS 3. 3A,3B,3C...
1. Download which version of Touch IT you want. For the Last version made, here is the link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=340403
2. Backup any information you wouldn't want to lose. Either backup to memory card or PC; your choice
3. At this point, You need to install the official RUU for your device, if you're already running the official RUU, then you need to hard reset your device. (Press and hold both soft keys and press reset button, continue to hold softkeys til screen displays to hard reset. Press the call button to continue). If you need to install the official RUU, continue to step 3a4Here is a list of uploaded RUUs
3a. Enter bootloader on your phone (Hold camera button and press reset, continue holding camera until a screen with 3 gradient colors shows up
3b. Connect your computer via USB to your ppc (Pocket PC)
3c. Run the RUU .exe from your hard drive, follow its simple onscreen instructions and click check boxes necessary to continue with the installation. This should take a few minutes, and you will more then likely see your screen flash and change things, this is normal, let it work. After a few minutes it will boot up and go into "automatic customization of your device", I continued this (screen alignment, tips, auto setup), and waited for my device to be totally ready for me to use.
4. Connect your device via USB to the PC and wait for activesync. If it automatically pulls up a profile for your phones sync, delete that profile. If it asks again to setup device for syncing items, click cancel. You will still be able to explore your phone and install devices without setting up the sync profile for your phone.
5. Make sure your phone is connected as a guest, if it is not, make sure it is. The method I used to do this was this zip file I ran "guest only" registration entry. (Make sure and run allow partnership registration after completing installation), but it should display as guest after the hard reset.
6. Copy aserg policies.cab to your mobile device
7. Run aserg policies.cab from your device
8. Soft reset (use stylus for button on side of wing, or on bottom of herald)
9. Go into your comm manager on your phone, and disable "phone". Basically enter flight mode so nothing can be sent to your phone during this process.
10. Once booted, its time to give it a shot. Make sure you're still connected as guest, and run !Upgrade_rom.bat from Touch_it folder on your PC
11. This will bring up a command prompt waiting for you to hit a key to begin, press any key
12. During this time it is installing, NEVER touch your phone or play with it in any matter. It may look as though the command prompt has gotten hung up at times, but leave it run until it completes (or fails). your phone will pop up a message saying "unknown status" or the likes, but dont close that window, like I said just leave it alone.
13. If you have no error messages in the command dialogue box then you're ready to hard reset your phone. (press both softkeys, and press reset, continue holding softkeys til you see a dialogue asking if its okay to restore settings, hit the call button to finish it)
14. Your device SHOULD boot normally, go through setup, and you should be golden.
If at any time there is an error during install, but you still let it complete, you might have a chance at it working. Hard reset it after completion (even with errors) just to see if it works. If it wont go past your Tmobile or HTC picture screen on bootup, then you have bricked your device. To UNbrick it, run steps 3a through 3c and reinstall the RUU.
If you get any errors, try and try again. Its proven working on several devices.

You defenitifly flashed a rom from teh HARD-SPL RUU folder...
... or you left a SPL.nbh inside your RUU folder.....
All roms are found in my signiture "All roms"
And for better flashing... download latest TouchIT6.1.3 and replace the RUUsigned.nbh with a one you will flash.
Or flash the TouchIT 6.1.3
I know hardspl sorked for you.
If flashing isn´t working
PUT device in BOOTLOADER (cam + softreset) then it MUST work
Good luck

If you have used hard-spl once on your phone, you dont need to do it again
I include in my rom releases what u need to flash

Okay. First, think you're going to want to do is flash back to the original WING/HERALD ROM - Click this link:TMo_Wing_RUU_Update_4.26.531.4
Also make sure to take out your sd card in your expansion bay if you have one.
Second, put your device into the bootloader by soft resetting your device (pressing in your stylus in the little hole on the left side of your device - then hold the camera button - until you get to a red-blue-green-white screen) then run the TMo_Wing_RUU_Update_4.26.531.4.
Then install the 3 CABs in this order:
1. Canon Yang.cab
2. ASerg Policies.cab
3. Disable Security.cab
6. Soft reset the phone.
7. Download the HardSPL folder, extract it, and place it on the Desktop.
8. Run ROMUpdateUtility.exe located in the HardSPL folder. Update the ROM using the steps on the screen. The screen on the device will become white, but wait until the phone reboots itself. It could be 10-15 minutes.
9. Phone should boot back into Canon Yang ROM. This is the HardSPL ROM. So far so good.
10. Check your SPL by going to bootloader again. If it says 4.70.yang, you are good as gold and HardSPLed.
If this works you can show you're patronage by trying one of my ROMs.

It shows me invalid vendor ID but am trying to change your ROM to suite this device but i dont know how to ue mtty to get its CID infor. how can i get its CID infor????
Go the the wingster dot com. click roms, click tmobile wing, click 6.0 click download, it will take you to the tmobile website.
Enter the number located back of phone under battery. Download the StockRom. make sure you emter your phone into boot loader and install the stock rom. You don't need to be Hard SPLed. Should work because it worked for me. After your phone works just HardSPL your phone so you don't Brick it again.
Follow those instructions but do NOT download the Tmobile Wing's ROM since you don't have a Wing. Download the HTC ROM that was made for your device. (His SPL is only found on some Heralds, not on the Wing or other Atlas devices.)
I need to install the original ROM for Diamond I from boot loader beacuse the device can't make Sync. with my computer
alright well you need to get the .nbh file of the rom into your storage memory (in da main root not in any folder) and then rename it DIAMIMG once you have that turn off your phone and press and hold the volume key down and press and hold the back button ( the button on the pad to go back) and press and hold the power button until it turns on into bootloader mode . now if it worked it should ask to press power buttton to update or ok to cancel just press the powerr button and itll update when its done itll say update ok and u can restart the phone
thankes for your thread but i have aproplem because my phone cant make a sync. with my computer and i have anther thread with my proplem please read it and reply me
It doesn't need to sync.
Put the phone in bootloader as lokoz described and run one of the ROM installers. You don't even need to have the ROM in Internal Storage that way.
Will the newest original rom be better.
Hello dudes, I have a question, My htc touch diamond are not so touch friendly as i thought when i bought it. I know that it aint a Iphone but do you guys think it might get to be better with the newest ROM from HTC homepage.
Like when i want to call a number and press number 1, its says 2 instead.Thats kinda irritating.
But anyway, I have downloaded the newest rom for my touch diamond, ver 2.03. the one thats on my phone is 1.93. but when i try to install.. i get an 264 error, and it finnish without installing the ROM. Can I still install it ,Like if I put it into storage in the phone first and the install it from there.
Thankfull for any help
Try my rom in my signature. Its about as finger friendly as it gets. FIRST look up on how to prepare your Diamond before flashing, there are some important steps. If you need a link, PM me.

Hey everyone, as the title suggests, I'm a big noob.
I actually flashed SPL 1.33 before flashing a shipped / stock rom. I'm going to send my unit for warranty (it has a lot of dead pixels now :S).
Now when I try flashing a shipped rom, it says "Not allowed" when it goes to the white screen.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Reflash to HSPL, then shipped ROM, then SSPL.
The system doesn't boot up anymore, actually. It get's stuck in the "HTC Diamon II" opening...
Try a hard reset, if not,
You'll have to flash everything from SD Card by renaming each .nbh file to TOPAIMG.nbh and entering bootloader mode, HSPL then ROM

What do you mean "rename each .nbh file to TOPAIMG.nbh"? Could you please clarify a bit?

Something a little similar for me, that I solved removing sd and flashing without sd.

Alright, try this;
1. Take the HSPL183 .nbh file and rename it to RUU_signed.nbh.
2. Find the TopazRUU.exe file and put both into same folder.
3. Soft reset your phone while holding the volume key down to go to bootlloader mode.
4. Once the tri-colored screen show 'USB at the bottom, run the RUU.exe.
5. Once it completes at 99%, hold your volume key again before it resets.
6. When back to Bootloader mode, verify your SPL says 1.83.Olinex.
7. Repeat the same for the HSPL 2.51 file.
8. If you have your stock ROM, right click on the .exe and extract it to a folder.
9. Take that RUU_signed.nbh and put into same folder as TopazCustomRUU.exe. You can replace the first one, or copy the RUU.exe to a new folder.
10. Go back to Bootloader and run the RUU.exe with the ROM .nbh file.
11. Then follow steps for the relocker.
Hope this helps.

I'll try that out when I get home.

Hey Bruce, thanks for all the help so far. I tried flashing it after work, but I reach up to step 4 but it freezes at 0% and the CustomRUU.exe basically says that it has some kind of communication error.
Am I downloading the right files? I got the files that I tried to use (both hspl and ruu) from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=520312

You are pulling the correct files.
All I can suggest is to try the same thing with the Topaz-HardSPL_V5_00R5_183HSPL.zip file from that thread. Connect in Bootloader mode and once you get the 'USB to show, try running the .exe in that file.
Unfortunately I don't think it will work, because the autoinstaller attempts to access through Active Sync, and you can't sync at this point.
What does your SPL show in Bootloader currently, 1.33.000?
Well I was glad to see I'm not the only clown out there
Just wanted to thank Bruce. Last night I also reloaded the stock/1.33 SPL before reloading the rom and completely messed up my phone. I could get it right up until the progress bar, but it would just sit at 0% forever. After reading a couple of threads (where Bruce was involved) I tried a new tactic.
Downloaded the Official HTC WM6.5 release, booted into tri colour, connected the usb and launched the app. It actually first upgrades your SPL to 1.83 and then reloads the new rom, all in one go.
Give it a shot.
Thanks again
Yes, it currently says 1.33.000.
Let me give what Rafiqc did a try.
Ah yes, I forgot about trying to flash the stock ROM over the Stock SPL.
Glad I could help, even if inadvertantly...
My TP2 stopped working ((((((
I was using it with some cooked ROM (i think it's not relevant what exactly). This morning i had my breakfast and i've got an SMS from an acquaintance. After this i couldn't see my home screen anymore, but i could still use start menu and so on. I wasn't first time as this error happened, so i didn't thought anything and just made a reboot. After this i saw bootloader screen and it was message about missing ROM shortly to see. Nohting else, only bootscreen, hard reset didn't work either. So i came home, connected my phone via USB to my notebook, powered it on and started to flash ROM. As flash was successfully complete, the phone rebooted and i saw... bootloader again!
So i don't know what to do now, anybody some thoughts?

Yes, i have a GSM TP2. As you advised, i downloaded Task 29, unzipped it and run ROMUpdateUtility.exe from its folder. After 100% phone booted again to the bootloader, I went to ROM's folder and run CustomRUU.exe from it to flash the new ROM. After "success" i disconnected the USB-cable and started the phone... no changes. I still see the bootloader. And i still cannot hard reset my phone for some reason.

How are you hard resetting your phone? All I do is power it off then hold the send and end keys and press and hold the power button until a message pops up asking if you want to hard reset. Press the vol up key to reset and after it completes press the vol up key to reboot.
Just a random thought here--is it possible your volume down button is stuck?

It sounds like your bootloader is somehow broken, if it isn't a problem with the volume down key.
Try searching for information about the "mtty" utility. It's kinda complicated, but I think it's helped people in a similar situation.

Now I am encountering bigger problems with my device. I tried to use MTTY ver 1.42 first. I couldnt use it because there wasn't an option to choose USB-port. Yes, i unchecked "Connect via USB" in WMDC and killed it then in task manager. Then i flashed stock SPL ver 0.79, hm nothing new. Then I tried to flash the original SPL, i.e. ver 0.84 and it got stuck by 0%. I waited and waited and waited, so i had to remove cable and the battery. After that nothing worked. No flashing worked at all, even Task 29 gets stuck by 0% every time........ I dont know what to do now.....

Have you tried flashing a ROM using the storage card method? Might be some error being caused but your computer.
The following was taken from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=550540
Flashing Via MicroSD Card
1. Make sure your microSD is Formatted to fat32 (you dont have to delete all files but it is safer if you do)
2. Download your prefered Rom from the Rhodium Rom Develpoment Page and unzip/unrar it to your PC
3. Goto the Roms Folder and rename the .nbh file to RHODIMG.nbh
4. Copy the RHODIMG.nbh file to the root of your MicroSD Card
5. Plug the MicroSD Card into the phone
6. Enter the BootLoader screen, you will first see a tri-color screen with the phone and SPL Information at the top
7. Follow the On Screen instructions to start the update
8. After flash has completed, press the reset button with the stylus to reset the device.
You might also want to try flashing from another computer.

well it seems that you have flashed back to stock spl since it is showing you spl version (0.79)
which means you will have to hardspl it again in order to flash any custom roms again but it is probably unlikely that it will not work because when you reflash stock spl you are suppose to flash stock rom & radio first before flashing stock spl i'm just guessing i'm not to sure on this 1 i could be wrong though
P.S. - just a suggestion since you have stock spl back on the phone try & flash a stock rom to see if that works

Is that maybe the problem ? Did you flash the stock SPL back onto it as you referred to earlier ? Because 0.79 is a stock SPL version, so it won't boot a custom ROM with that SPL.
So is the whole problem that you have a custom ROM and stock SPL ? I hope it's that simple, but fear it isn't.
I hope!
Hello,
if you have 0.79 hard spl,
1. you should install stock rom, not cooked. After go to bootloader mode.
2. Run Rhodium-HardSPL_V2_00R3.exe from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4363807&postcount=1
3. Install cooked rom!
It is working!
I hope it will help your problem!

Yeah guys, here's what i did and what i see. Before i flashed stock SPL 0.79 i flashed stock ROM and stock radio. Then i tried to flash stock SPL 0.84 and it didn't work for some reason. OK, then I read an advice from Doo Doo and tried to flash stock ROM again. I was wondering that it worked... but as it got 100% the device entered bootloader mode again! But after this the version of SPL was 0.88
I cannot use storage card method because i don't have any possibility to get access to the card from my PC And I just tried to hard SPL my phone from another PC (winxp) so it didn't work either, stuck by 0%.
Try to older stock rom. Maybe it will install older spl...
Sorry, but I couldn't help this problem! :S
i follow fully all the steps of official methods of unlocking bootloader,
until i went to the step that " press the volume+ button", on the phone screen,
it just stuck on the "Download Mode!!!"
and it didn't go to the next line
i searched for it in xda but i cant find a solution about it
i hv both the fastboot and adb drivers, LG drivers also installed.
however, when i try to install CT_HsPhone_General_Drivers, it's said "installation failure"
is it the reason that makes me stuck and cant unlock it???
btw, i tried to unplug my phone
it shows the next line that it's supposed to show

i follow fully all the steps of official methods of unlocking bootloader,
until i went to the step that " press the volume button", on the phone screen,
it just stuck on the "Download Mode!!!"
and it didn't go to the next line
i searched for it in xda but i cant find a solution about it
i hv both the fastboot and adb drivers, LG drivers also installed.
however, when i try to install CT_HsPhone_General_Drivers, it's said "installation failure"
is it the reason that makes me stuck and cant unlock it???
btw, i tried to unplug my phone
it shows the next line that it's supposed to show
but it didnt show the "ready" and after i reboot it , the BL is still locked
anyone met this situation and plz kindly give me a help plz...

I got into same condition. I may help. You have found correct driver. I suggest you redownload it, just to make sure it is not corrupted. Ok, then extract it somewhere, don't install. Open control panel->device manager in a window. Open bootloader unlock archive in another window and start as instructed. When download mode in red apears just switch to device manager window and you will see fastboot in device list. Expand it (if it is already expaned, it's ok too) and you will see a device with yellow warning triangle. Just right click on it and you have to install from directory in pc not net. Then just select the folder directly containing all extracted driver files. Press ok. Driver will be installed and phone will start formating. Wait and remember not to unplug usb in any stage. That bat file contains step till phone shut down. So, don't close command prompt when done. It will ask to press any. Do it untill it automatically closes and phone shuts. Then unplug and remove battery. You are ready to go.
Hey guys
Had the same problem a while back
And it was caused by the wrong fast boot drivers. I opened a thread right here in Q&A and it got solved.
Here's the link to it, just download the drivers from the thread mentioned there and it should work, at least for me it did

Hope you will make it

With great power comes great reponsibility and for me great problems too. So, when you going to flash CM you should know few things-
1. In front of LG's UI, CM UI is like pale and old ugly man. I prefer Nova launcher with Galaxy S4 theme. It will be best or Galaxy S4 launcher from this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2236937
2. Do a CWM backup before anything you do.
3. When CM is installed, you may get many problems getting into S/W Mode. Don't worry, just reinsert the battery.
4. You should know everything about bugs may occur.
Actually, I tried CM but back to stock now.
