I have dopod 838 which i already upgraded to WM6 (for the first time, since I use PDA ) I'm following the upgrade tutorial from the wiki and I use the WM 6.0 ROM made by mfrazzz.
my question is how to downgrade to WM5 (original from dopod asia)? I already download the ROM but I'm not sure whether i need to downgrade to IPL/SPL 1.xx like when I'm upgrading it to WM6?
I see another new ROM is released, and i want to switch to that ROM, must I re do all the steps I done when upgrading from WM5 to WM6?
note the IPL/SPL is 3.xx on my dopod 838.

Never go from 3.xx to 1.xx as the SPL might get locked. Stop at 2.xx before downgrading further.
WM5 can work with 1.xx and 2.xx but WM6 only with 2.xx and 3.xx
oh no.. I did re-flash it back to 1.xx per instruction on the wiki. I then upgrade the ROM to T-Mobile ROM which is 2.xx, after that upgrade again to 3.08 then upgrade to WM6.1
the upgrade is success, do I need to check for something? as you said that the SPL might locked?
so.. in case i want to change/downgrade ROM i just need to re-flash to T-Mobile ROM which is 2.xx?

Sometimes,if you directly downgrade from 3.08 to 1.xx,SPL gets locked and it's very difficult to bring it to 1.xx,so its advised,if your phone is already CID unlocked and upgraded to 3.08,don't downgrade to 1.xx again,but if you want to reflash a new rom and want a solid base like T-mobile,then just downgrade to 2.xx,avoid going down to 1.xx.

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Did you unzip the folder and run ROM update? If you did then the problem is you need to upgrade to IPL 2.26 & SPL 2.26
It's because you have a 1.xx IPL and SPL. The only way that it is going to work is if you upgrade your ROM. You're going to have to upgrade the whole thing cuz if you would just upgrade the IPL/SPL to 2.xx to make the GSM work then the OS wouldn't.
OR download latest official carrier Rom AKU 2 version,to upgrade to IPL/SPL2.xx,than upgrade to Radio 2.19 if he doesn't want to opt for unlocking and upgrade

Yes it will, unless the ROM contains a CID but I don't know of any that do. I know for sure that the T-Mobile ROM doesn't since it's the one I always flash back to before flashing a newly cooked WM6 ROM.
I have read the guides to unlocking and from what I see there are none that work on 3.xx SPL/IPL. I was able to downgrade the IPL but never the SPL.
I have seen several threads that say if you flash button rom (several times) it will eventually downgrade the SPL also, but all night as I worked I flashed the button ROM (about 12-15 times) and still can't downgrade the SPL from the 3.08, only IPL goes to 1.01
Tried the original Cingular ROM and it isn't accepted (I think because I have a higher SPL than the original 2.26), tried using the ShellTool, Tried SoftSPL too but none worked.
IS THERE A WAY TO DOWNGRADE THE 3.08 SPL SO THAT I CAN USE THE LOKIWIZ02 OR LOKIWIZ03. I saw a thred saying that 3.08 can't be downloaded but I also saw SEVERAL saying to just keep insisting with the Button rom that it will eventually work (but after almost 15 consecutive tries I've had it).
Any help would be GREAT.

Button ROM doesn't work for that. I tried numerous times too. The only ROMs that work to downgrade to anything else from 3.08 are the OEM releases from either T-Mo or AT&T.
The Cingular ROM isn't accepted because it checks the OS version number. I had to try several peoples' ROMs until I found one with a low enough version number to where the Cingular ROm could flash on top of it.
Try to flash T-Mobile 2.26 to bring it down to ipl/spl 2,26 then go for button's 1.05,hope it'll do the trick.

I want to downgrade my phone, too. but the original T-Mobile AKU2.0 say while reading the phones ROM-Version "only update"... so, with this no downgrade is possible.
How can i CID unlock with AKU3? I want to flash a new ROM from xda-developer as well... damn

You could probably extract the nk.nbf and use the standard tools to flash it.
The nk.nbf can usually be found in a .tmp folder in c:\documents and settings\yourname\Local Settings\Temp

Unless you are using official kjam update, otherwise please CID unlock your G3 device first, or you will face problems.

I just got a dopod c800 AKA p4350.
Its got WM 5 on it. I wanted to upgrade the same to WM6.
Have read the threads but couldnt figure the english rom version and also need some help on upgrading.
can someone point me to the right rom and the instructions.

Whatever you do, if your SPL is currently 1.XX do NOT hardSPL or use USPL. Use the official RUU to attemp to flash your device. IF it changes your SPL and IPL to 4.xx then you can use HARDSPL and USPL.
Other than that, you can download the official WM6 from the thread that's stickied that talks about all the ROMs.

If you have downloaded official Rom from it's website and still can't upgrade then use the 'ROMUpdateUtility_Wizard_NoID' replace it with the ruu in the official rom,you can get this from the below link.:-

i,ll try to update but language is still russian an ROM is still same.
I download thes file: RUU_NoID.exe, then i download an oficial ROM, then i replace the original ROM's RUU with RUU_NoID. operation begin, but after and of this nothing change.
ha can i change language for English? can anyone help me an give me a links of this files vich i can use???
my IPL/SPL is 2.16 and i think it is G3???

Well,I'll suggest you go for the second option,unlock your phone and upgrade to any latest wm6 custom build Roms.Once you get your phone unlocked,it stays unlocked and gives you the opportunity to keep on upgrading to the latest Roms and features.Read the stickies on unlocking and upgrading and do it correctly,I'm sure you'll have much more benefits and enjoyment.

ok,grrrrrr8,if you have managed to downgrade to ipl/spl 1.xx,its time to SIM/CID unlock the phone,read the 'definitive guide for unlocking by Dr.Puttingham and download the lokiwiz-2b tool and do the method exactly as stated in the guide to Sim/CID unlock your phone,after successful unlock upgrade to ipl/spl 2.xx by downloading and flashing T-mobile 2.26 to the phone,only then you can upgrade to any latest wm6 rom,as its required to have CID unlocked phone and ipl/spl 2.xx for upgrade to wm6.

Ok I need help. I just picked up a second-hand wizard from someone who claims to have done all the unlocking and has flashed it to WM6 Professional. On the bootup screen it shows:
IPL 2.16
SPL 2.16
GSM 02.19.11
OS 11.0.0.1
What I want to know is how I can install the TouchFlo w/ cube Rom as I find that more intuitive than what I am currently using. What would I need to download, upgrade/downgrade to get this running from start to finish.

As you are already running wm6 TNT series Rom,it means your phone is already SIM/CID unlocked,there's no need to downgrade to 1.xx to unlock and then upgrade to 2.xx and flash any wm6 rom.
Yes ! its highly recommended,if you want to change to any other Rom,first flash the T-mobile 2.26 to provide you a good base,but its not necessary,you can download any wm6 or wm6.1 rom and just connect the phone with pc via usb cable and flash the rom.
You can try the latest wm6.1 TNT.19199 series v.2 Rom,it has TouchFlo version also from this link :-
