I've read in one of the posts here:

That T-Mobile in NL is accepting phone repair for warranty with or without official ROM. I'm wondering if it's also the same for Vodafone, any guys from NL experienced this? Because if yes then I'll send mine to them, if not then I'll send it directly to HTC assistance. I can't revert to SPL from HardSPL because I can't go to the OS to run SPL-KAIS so putting the original SPL and ROM is not an option for me.
anyone? nada? zilch?
Hi pfcsabre,
I have the Tytn2 from vodafone NL as well, and also have unfixable problems. After trying some ROM updates I figured it was a hardwareproblem and called the HTC technical service number. They will ask you about your IMEI, ROM and RADIO versions. I didn't take the gamble and told them I couldn't find it (playing noob).
The advice was to send in the device for repair with warranty (they pay).
Take a look at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=335568 to restore the original state of the device.
I wouldn't take the gamble to send it in with a flashed ROM because it states in the warranty that your phone needs to be in orriginal state!!

hey thanks for the advice Crybaby! Well the problem that I had is I can't put the SSPL-KAIS since my Kaiser is not booting up (just reboots infinitely) but last night with some stroke of luck my Kaiser has just been resurrected So I don't need to send it to repair now

Hey, I tried to go from TouchFlo 1.1 to the new 2.0 and bricked my phone, it just got stuck in the process even though I followed all steps.
Now, I bought my device in Germany at an O2 Shop, so its German language with the O2 Bubbles and WM6.
There is no original RUU Rom on the O2 Website so I am still stuck on the brubble screen.
I heard there is no way of unbricking the phone unless o2 releases a RUU for the phone, is that generally true? Should I just get it reprogrammed and pay cash for that
I have seen a post with a http://rapidshare.com/files/32745275/os62.nb file that is apparently extracted from the o2 Wm6 Rom, would that do any good.
Any options??
Kind regards
Pretty much. Just send it back. Is it under warranty?
EIther way, you're completely and totally SOL
Yeah I still got it covered, are they not going to release A RUU for the terra?
I mean, this is Bull****
Guys, I called the o2 support and they say that there is no rom currently for the XDA terra and there is also no annoucement of any coming so it sucks really. I am stuck with a brick in the states where I cannot send it in for repair.
There must be a way to flash it and override the Vendor ID problem isn't there. I can get into the bootloader it's just that I have to somehow flash a new one on there.
Anyone any suggestions?
I am deeply saddened and need help, I need my phone back please understand. I'll try anything!
Hi all i`m always changing my roms and radio`s like you do lol i had duttys rom installed and hard spl olinex 1.93 also. my problem is and like a true div i used the wrong program on the diamond cos i have the tytn aswell so put that program on my diamond and now it is bricked lol the program was hard spl for the tytn or something can`t remember exactly what. can`t get into bootloader or reset as nothing at all and wont start up or vibrate etc can`t get active sync to find phone so i would say 100% bricked lol i am sending the diamond tomorrow for repairs to htc.

If you flashed the Tytn SPL to a Diamond, you can forget it, it is a shiny paperweight...
Unless the JTAG points for the device are found it is most definitely a brick.
lol thought as much lol thats what happens when you have more than one phone lol would they know it has a cooked rom installed when they investigate why it bricked? cheers

If they unbrick it, then yes, they will know it has a custom ROM flashed to it. However, they will still fix it and just bill you.
damn lol is there a way of blagging it so if i say i bought the phone with the cooked rom installed already and thought that was the original rom from new?? just play dumb lol is it expensive if they unbrick it?? cheers
just to add that dutty`s rom was great and had nothing to do with me bricking my phone. just incase people interpret me the wrong way and think its a rom problem
morning all my phone is being picked up today and was just wondering if they do fix or reflash my phone will it be back to being locked to the orange uk network again even though i unlocked it??? cheers

HTC will flash the most recent ROM available for your device. If your phone is Orange branded, then that is the ROM they will flash to it.
thanks for that mate but i need to know if it will be locked back to orange uk meaning can i use any sim card or will it be on orange uk only cheers
anyone else with any suggestions please cos i`m getting a bit worried that htc will refuse to repair and if they do how much the cost will be. has anyone from the uk had the same problem and bricked there phone? and how much does it cost for them to repair?? thank you
just an update about my repair got my diamond back today and they replaced the main board cos i bricked the diamond so i have a new imei number and life time call counter is back to zero i never got charged for this repair and now i can even hard reset the phone where before it wouldn`t work so have faith if you have bricked your diamond
Hi,
I have an att tilt (8925). The other day I happend to upgrade the ROM or flash from 6.0 to 6.1 from htc official site there after the phone doesn't get the signal(wireless).
The following is the device information.
ROM Version:3.57.502.2 WWE
ROM Date:07/17/08
Radio Version:1.65.21.18
Protocol Version:25.88.40.05H
Please any kind of help would be really greatly appreciated....
Thanks in advance.
And you used the ATT rom?
Thanks for the reply but I am sorry I am totally new to all this wat do u wat me to do....
yeah looks like you did.
Could you give us more data ?
Where did you find your phone ? Was it unlocked ? Did you do hard-SPL in it ?
What is the OS version, exactly ?
Maybe you must change the Radio, maybe you must flash with another ROM version.
Maybe you only must enable the phone...
Please enter the boot screen and write here all your data numbers (then, switch off the device, you'll boot normally again), and also write all the data you can find in Start-Settings-System-"Device data" (or similar the last screen)
(don't write here the IMEI as it's not needed and could be used for third party people to lock your phone) !!!!!!!!
With all the data we'll know what exactly is your device and what exactly may be happeing to it.
Hi,

What actually happened and why the difference? Surely if you have an AT&T phone and put an AT&T ROM on it (with no other modifications) as per how AT&T intended, if that causes it to fail, AT&Ts warranty department should be informed and should come to the rescue? If you've already hard reset the phone and tested again (it's important to hard reset after a ROM flash) and have tried reflashing the new ROM again and hard resetting afterwards with the same results, it's time to contact them?

Did you try this process twice (in case of a bad flash)? How do you explain the different Windows Mobile versions you referred to as being on the phone originally? How old is the phone?
Hi,
I tried that not twice but many times....I told you that I originally had win 6.0 then I updated to 6.1 given at htc.com its just out of warranty by a month, its like 13 months old.....

The reason for my question was because in your 3rd post you said the device came with WM 6.1 from AT&T.... My HTC branded TyTN II had a warranty for 15 months from new and even if yours is just out of the warranty period for Tilts, they shouldn't completely ignore you if you can prove the problem was caused by using their ROM upgrade. That said, given no-one else with this phone and ROM has complained about the same issue as you here, either your local celltower has coincidentally failed at the same time as you carried out the flash or some damage has occurred to your device (such as to the aerial sticker perhaps). The simple way to find out would be to test it out in other areas where you know reception to be good, also to revert its ROM/Radio and SPL back to the original Tilt setup. You can find all the required files and instructions here at xda-dev via the wiki about how to do that.
As Flying Kiwi says, you can revert to 6.0...
I'm also intrigated by this change of versions from 6.0 to 6.1 (not WM versions but your posting versions)
Well, le'ts imagine you flashed the correct 6.1 ROM to the correct device (the data you wrote here allow us believe in this, I think, but I'm not an expert in SPL and radio versions). It should work. If not, you may try to download the old SPL and 6.0 ROM and flash them. (You'll find their links somewhere in the Wiki, here). Maybe you need to change the Radio to get the phone working ? Did you use the correct ROM for your S/N device ?
On the other side, you may try to do the entire Hard-SPL process and then flash one of this wonderfuls ROM's you may find here.
Or reverting to the original 6.0 and SPL "from" a cooked ROM ?
I'm thinking about my most terrible enemy, the electricity down, and thought you might download a bad version, or it got corrupted but you could flash it...
Please, don't follow my instructions till one of the masters will read my post and tell if I'm (or not) mistaken.
Hi All,
I thank you frm the bottom of my heart for all your responses, surprisingly when I when to att device support center today they said that my phone is still under warranty and they replaced my phone with a new one....
Thanks,
Srinivas

Glad you now have it sorted
hi, i was wondering whether i can re install the stock orange rom my phone came with because i may need to send it back for warranty repair?
if yes can someone give me a link where i could download it and the spl for and install it?
thanks
you can download an official orange one off the orange website, or look a few pages back in this forum for the link
thanks for the reply, ive downloaded the version 1.59.61.2 off the orange website but does anybody know which spl will work with this rom without having the colours go funny etc?
thanks
I returned my device with a non standard ROM on it and nothing was ever said.
Once its been authorised I dont think they track it - the guy who picks it up never checks the IMEI i believe it just gets chucked into a big vat of phones to be refurbed - the refurbishment involves a totally new case and total reflash of their latest firmware.
if you don't have hard spl installed, the latest orange rom will install spl 1.54
I have used the Orange replacement service many of times and never changed the rom back and never an issue.
Hello,
I have had my xperia for six months now. But suddenly three weeks ago my microphone didnĀ“t work anymore. So I went to the T/mobile shop and they sended it to a repairshop. I got it back a week later and they told me it was a total loss. The original Rom was no longer installed on the phone. I used an update from sony ericsson (found on this site). So they didn't repair it. I took the phone back home and put in my sim. The phone didn't have any reach (excuse me for my english). It did when I got in to the shop, so they did something at the repairshop. So I went back and they sended it back the repairshop with an explanation what happened. And I got it back today and what do you think happened? Indeed, no repair no original software. I got P&#%*ssed and went away.
Does anyone have a clue what these problems can be? Is it a software problem? and can I solve it myself?
Greetings from the Netherlands

Possable Solution?
Hi, i think they didn't fix it it because you must of done a Hard SPL to put a ROM on your X1 from this site. You will need to load the original Rom that came with your phone, and then put the Stock SPL back on your phone.
The links below should help-
Hard SPL to Stock SPL
Within the file that you download, there will be instructions on how to put a hard SPL/ Stock SPL on your X1. Scroll down in the manual and it will tell you how to load the Stock SPL back to your phone.
You will read within the manual that you will need to put the original ROM back on your phone, (the one that was on there the first day you had it).
Information on which ROM is for you can be found here: Original ROMS
You will need to flash a ROM from the "R1A (INITIAL) firmwares" section on to your phone. This needs to be done BEFORE you flash the Stock SPL.
If you get stuck the answers will be in the original post(the links above)
Hope this helps.
