yes, this will work ensure you remove li-ion battery(very nasty) and only 1-2 seconds very low wattage otherwise you will crack the LCD then have even bigger problems, worked on iphone

Hello everyone
My touch has finally given up the ghost.
It's good and dead.
The most it will do is flash a red light when I press the reset button when its connected to AC power. (If you have any ideas I would love them)
I will be releasing a bunch of stuff I have on my hard drive that I have compiled
Huge Thanks to everyone who's helped me.
::Long List i'm too sad to write.::
Thank you for all your hard work, where is the next step from here?
Not sure looking for a new phone
HD2 maybe
Desire
sounds like just a fried battery
Does anyone have an extra battery then?
Because I can't purchase one (cash strapped I know its only $4 on amazon but still)

to be honest it probably isnt the battery, that is known as the Red light of Doom when i was a service tech it was 9/10 a fried phone. im not sure what causes it in other cases but sometimes its caused by the nand wearing out

I'm betting your right because previously to this I couldn't flash anything not even stock
all that happened was a screen with the htc logo saying no radio after flashing stock
bootloader hung on sd flash errors occurred in the RUU when flashing anything even stock
So my droid 3 has alot of bugs and its just not working properly. but i have a crack in the top of the device, its not even on the screen but because of that verizon says they cant replace it. is there any way around this ? i can't afford to buy a new phone

i seen these but two things. is this a trusted site ? i heard the droid3 was a pain in the a** to just change the screen, im good with hardware but have never taken apart a phone, would i be able to this on my own?

did you have insurance at all? if nothing else manufacturer warranty should cover the screen.

thanks but thats just a tear down. not specific instructions with the screen. i could probably take time to figure out but i wouldnt want to mess up the phone worse so i can't use it. im not confident enough with a phone tear down.

No i didnt :/ the maufacture warranty covers the screen if i dropped it?
Is it possible that the phone is not able to boot (even with JIG) and can't be discovered by computer, because of broken "bios" battery? I'm just an amateur but for me it looks like there is some kind of leak. In Samsung service center they told me that my mobo needs to be changed, but I don't belive them and I'm not gonna pay $350 because they are to lazy and money hungry to check what is really wrong with my phone.
After watching the service manual, it looks to be a backup capacitor.
The part # is: 2409-001186
The value is 33000 µF @ 3,3 volts operating voltage.
This should very cheap.
Almost sure that it's only for RTC backup, you should try to remove it to see if your phone boots up.

If you mean normal big flat battery from Samsung, then the answer is yes. But I'm not really sure if this what is on my pictures is a battery or a capacitor. Can't really move this thing. Either way it doesn't look good to me, but maybe it suppose to be like this.

You mean I should remove it and try to boot the phone without it or I should remove it, put a new one and then try to boot?

Just lift the minus connection (easiest pad) and check if the phone boots up.
If it boots, then buy a new one and change it.

Did it but nothing new. Phone is still dead - no download mode, no discovery in windows, only warm when connected to charger or when battery is in. But thanks for help.
So you should download the service manual and follow the repair procedure.
I will look into this but without proper equipement I don't think that I would be able to do anything.
Have you tried another battery?

I've tried only changing battery that you put in your Note, not this little one on my pictures.

Thanks for this information, it was very difficult to find anything at all on this topic!
Although I didn't try it on an N7000, I can confirm that removing the RTC-battery (someone in another forum stated that it actually is a capacitor) on a previously unbootable i9100 did allow me to boot up the device normally again. Would be interesting to know if leaving it out completely has any adverse effects...
Hi guys,

My incs has that very slightly. It doesn't effect the usage though no? I don't think much can be done apart from replacing parts, I wouldn't worry unless it gets annoying

Hi.
My friend's Nexus got screen green/yellow.
What can be?
We think maybe it is battery issues.
why or how would a battery isdue make your screen green? that idea is completely unrelated. what you have is a device with broken hardware. i recommend that you get it exchanged asap.
