Hello Everyone,
I tried running a search but couldn't find a lot on this topic pertaining to the Diamond. I was curious if anyone knew whether Visual Voicemail works on the Diamond with Rogers who is the service provider. I have an iPhone right now which has this capability built in and it works fine. However, I'm replacing the iPhone 3G with the Diamond and was curious if I will end up losing this capability. I know there's third party apps that can do some of this but am unaware of whether they would utilize the service provided by Rogers? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
I use Video Mail (same thing) on my Diamond without any third party apps. It's basically a combination of a Voicemail and a Video Call so you don't really need anything extra.
If it works on one operator, it should work on any operator that has Video Mail.

Hello all, I have been playing around with the VoIP capabilities of WM 6.1 using L26_v9 ROM. All is working fine. I wanted get some users input on VoIP providers that not only work on the kaiser but also that provide Direct inward dialing. Meaning you have a number asssigned by the provider that rings on your device, hence essentially giving you unlimited in comming minutes. As I know there are plenty of providers out there however not many provide a inward dialing number.
I'm not particulary interested in skype for this because the sound quality that I have experienced is very poor and choppy. I'm considering Broadvoice or axvoice. Anyone with any experience with either of these?
Suggested format would be perhaps;
Name of provider: xvoice
DID number: yes
contract required: No
"Hi, I recently purchase sprint touch pro, coming from a at&t tilt, & tmobile mda be for that. Ive come very use to useing the confrence call feature that they used to have. Its driving me nuts to think they would leave this feature out on whats suppose to be an up grade/ newer phone.(right?) Has anyone have this same issue/problem?? & is there a way to download a new dialer program to correct this. please inform me thanks.."
I've got some issues with my TP too... Dialer is hanging when I'm making Video Call and Someone I'm dialing is picking up the phone. Same thing happens when I'm picking up a video call.
I've allready checked many ROMs and RADIOs... Nothing changes.
Yea me 2 maybe someone could use the ATT tilt dialer an modify it to work on the Sprint TP that would be nice, someone said to call HTC an complain an if we complain enough that they would fix it but i think that its gonna take forever for that to happen an a dialer fix would be much faster...
Hello,
I'm going to be going to Canada and would like to know if there is any app out there that is gonna let me call people via a wifi connection. It would be too expensive to use even a calling card. I know Skype would probably do the trick but if there's something else that would be great (Skype's a bit of a battery killer).
Also, if anyone knows of any apps for texting that would be great as well. Google Voice is fine, but it send texts from the Google Voice number. And Whattheapp is fantastic but only for people who have it as well. I just need to be able to contact people who only use simple SMS.
Thank you guys!!
Can a mod move this to the Q&A section? I'll probably get more views that way. Thanks!
Maybe using Tikl, but that replies on the people you want to call also having it on their phones... Other than that, yeah, you'll need some sort of VoIP app/service.
Hi,
im new to this forum and im kind of desperate as i lost my phone tomorrow, so in need of a phone asap.
i stumbled upon this samsung galaxy camera yesterday but the salesperson told me it does not have voice call function unless you use skype and stuff. but skype is not being used frequently in singapore.
so is there any apps which i can use to make normal voice calls in singapore?
i read through the forum, there are apps like GrooveIP but when i check on it, it only supports in US or Canada.
thus need some advice on any apps that i can use for normal voice calls.
thank you
as far as I know Skype does exactly what you want if you get a paid subscription.
the free version only allows calls to Skype clients, but if you pay you can also call regular phone numbers(mobile and home).
try mobilevoip.its free in singapore
Hi guys,
Unfortunately, the area i live in has incredibly bad signal for all networks and back with my HTC sensation i used to have a orange signal boost app which enabled me to use something called UNA to make and receive calls through my home WiFi.
Since moving to my lovely new One, I dont have this option. I havent even bothered to get on the phone to Orange as they prove to be useless every time.
After doing a bit of research and playing with my phone, I found out about the Internet Calls within settings but it needs account settings.
Like with the 3g settings, are there some generic orange settings someone would be able to tell me that will enable me to use this feature?
Any help would be greatly received!
Thanks,

The Internet Call feature is for those with accounts with the likes of sipgate. You can make free calls to other SIP numbers but will need to buy credit when dialing normal numbers.

Do you happen to know if the tmobile wifi calling apk is anywhere available. I've had a search and cant seem to find it. I ask as that seems to be available on the one and TMobile kinda the same as Orange as both owned by EE and I just thought id try a punt at the app also working on orange.

Is this what your referring to?
A quick Google search threw up lots of possible links.

Yeah that's the one, but sorry, i should have been a bit more specific, I meant the apk off a one as it seems to be shipped with the one tmobile branded versions so I figured I would have the best chance with that version.
I'm bumping this thread to see if there are any solutions for this a few months on. I also live in a poor area for reception with Orange / EE, but I do have a decent net connection and WiFi. To make matters worse, I get an equally poor signal at work and constantly have to move my phone around to pick up texts.
The EE website has the following information for those unfamiliar, but the feature isn't currently supported in any ROMs I have tried:
http://help.ee.co.uk/system/selfser...RTICLE&ARTICLE_ID=1187596&CUSTOM_BRAND=Orange
Despite this sounding like a fantastic feature, I can barely find any information on the forums or through Google.
