Hello!
Since I have updated to WM6.1 i cant use WM5torage anymore. Even the trick with cardexport doesnt work.
I get a Storage in Windows but it isnt accessable
what can i do?
thank you
u can use Softick Card Export instead of WM5torage.
I would like to try, but i tried the older version and the shareware time is over
i would like to try the new version
do someone knows the registry key to kill?
thankx
Push UP
no idea?
I use Softkick Card Export 3.14 it works on a tilt with WM6.1 (ATT OEM rom)
Softkick Card Export 3.14 works on my HTC TyTN II with official HTC WM6.1 ROM.
I am using Card Export as well on WM 6.1 L26 v12. I have been using it for quite a while.
I love it, well worth the money.
I have BartPE loaded on my 8GB Card along with my normal apps. I can boot any PC using Card Export and a USB Data cable to BartPE and do data recovery and the like.
I tried today the last version, but I found it very slow near to ActiveSync.
Why when I read/write my microsd from a card reader is 20x faster?
Thanks!
Wm5torage works on the 17/09 HyperDragon rom. At least on my kaiser

Hi Peeps,
Its been a while since i've been in the PDA scene... the TyTN II tempted me back.
Took delivery of my SanDisk SDHC 4Gb card this morning, plugged in and working a-okay.
Now, I'm wanting to install all my apps now. The installer greys out the option to choose your own install location?! Wanting to keep system memory to the max you see...
Anyone know how i get around this?
Cheers,
Matt
Do you install using ActiveSync ? Which version?
I sure do... well i'm running vista so is the "Windows Mobile Device Center" now - version 6.1.6965
i am having similar problem but my sd install is not greyed out but there is a problem with programs that have to write to the SD card.
I installed 2 programs that I have installed on a WM 6 ROM on my 8525 - these programs have to sync data and the data is written to a folder where the program is installed. If I install the program on the main memory of the TyTN II then it works just fine but if install it to the SD card it will not work - it locks up when trying to write data on the SD card of the TyTN II.
Any ideas on how to change security or access to the SD card so the device has full access to it????
It looks serious problem
However, it could be that the application is not yet compatible with the Tytn II ?
I think it is worth to ask to the developer of the application, he might have a clue or could create somekind of debug tool to verify.
I have not installed anything to the SD though.

Try this, will you?
I've found this app on another forum, but couldn't try it yet since i still am waiting for the arrival of my sdhc card.
Also, try these too.

I'll try the drivers and let you know but the problem is that I this issue with 2 different programs both of which worked fine on my Hermes with WM6 Roms!
I tried the different SD drivers and the TyTNN II was not able to access the SD card at all until I uninstalled the driver.
Interestingly the problem is only when the applications try to write to the card while doing a "sync" process where the app writes updated data to the SD card. The program otherewise works fine and installs fine.
Btw , it is only a 2GB card. I tried reformatting it and using a different card but no luck.
I think the issue is some sort os a security thing where the OS is errantly preventing writing to the SD card within the application.
Any other suggestions? I'm going to notify the place where I bought the Kaiser but also going to try to contact HTC.
I contacted HTC and they said that the device hadn't "really been released" yet and that with third party software they would not be of any help !!!!!!!!!
Can't believe they were so unhelpful. I even explained that others were having some other issues with SD cards and that it was more than one progeam giving me problems.
His answer was to - "just install your programs in the main memory"
Hope i don't experience such a thing with my universal since i just ordered a 4gb sdhc 2 days ago!

Well, that won't work at all, since the Universal doesn't support SDHC!!!!
* unless you are using the new WM6 rom with SDHC support!

THAT SOUNDS Annoying
there are some programs that just dont work being installed on the external storage. spb mobile shell is one of them and i know their are others. its because of the way the os boots is has to be on the internal storage for it to work properly. its not a fault, its ben the same with wm5 some apps are just meant to be instaslled on the internal storage. so check on hte applications home page or where you downloaded it from for its compatability and installation instructions

Absolutely - however, in my case the program (according to the developers who are working diligently with me to solve this issue) say the program I have been sucessfully using 2003, WM5 and then WM6 installed on the SD card (for several years) will NOT work on the Kaiser.
There is undoubtedly something different about the device and how it handles communication with the SD card. I have tried differnt cards (size, brand etc) and still the Kaiser won;t allow the program to write to the card during certain phases of a "sync" process.
Hopefully this is not a major issue for others but for my sake I hope it is enough of an issue to get some attention form someone smarter than me so I can (selfishly) get a fix for my issue
After browsing through the forum I see that the "leaked" WM6 Rom for the 750 can be installed with a SD card, and the Official Release (Vodafone) has its own "installer" package that can be installed with the USB Cable. I just received my 750 Today from the Premiere site, and did not get my miniSD card yet. Is there a way to install the CHEEIMG.nbh without using a miniSD card and using the USB cable? Thanks in advance...

Sorry but as far as I know you will have to update to WM6 to get this to work correctly!
8GB SDHC
Does 8GB Micro SDHC cards work on this phone? Is this SanDisk cards? Are there any requirements to the micro to mini SD adapter?
Does anyone know if trinity with wm5 supports 6/8 gb sdhc cards?? I have read the last coment about it's necesary to upgrade to wm6 to use these cards, but i don't know if there are any fix to support them on wm5.
I know there are a fix called sdhc.cab (or something like that), but i'm not sure if with that fix wm5&Trinity will works fine with any sdhc cards.
(by the way, i don't want to upgrade by trinitry because it's really working fine under this wm5 (including gps) and also i know that i will lose my guaranty if i upgrade it).
Any help would be appreciate. Thanks
I am also experiencing the same problem... I already tried upgrading my P3600 to WM6 (by the way working very well) and the HDSD drivers available through this site with no success. Is there any other solution to this problem?...

Hi Mastah,
Is there a thread for this ROM? I can't find it anywhere....
Mattster
I've managed to see all the 8gb of a Kingston microSD (+ adapter, of course) in my WM5 (original rom) Trinity.
See:

yesterday I came across a page which gave two methods to upgrade a treo 750 (or similar from memory) rom, one method was using a sd card and the other was using the computer in some way, I unfortunately cannot now find that page again
currently running Cingular WM5 I'm trying to upgrade to WM6 vodafone, sim is locked (was planning to unlock after upgrade (bad idea?))
in my searches I came across XDAtools but that does not seem to work for me (says something about cannot establish a serial connection) and the built in installer in the exe will not work
I only have a 4gig SDHC card so do not believe I would be able to upgrade
using the sd card method (though have not tried)
mostly I am hoping someone here knows of the page, it talks about two methods
it was probably on XDA and probably the wiki, maybe the forum, though its possible it was on a treo forum, I cannot access the computer I used
alternatively if you know of other ways to upgrade using the usb cable that information would be much appreciated
lastly if this question has been asked again and again and again I am sorry, my searches of this forum and the wiki have not turned up what I am looking for as far as I can find
SD Update
You need to have a miniSD card formatted FAT32 and the card must not be HC. Copy your .nbh file to the card and rename it cheeimg.nbh. Insert the card into your Cheetah and put it into bootloader mode by holding down the media key and depressing the reset. the update process is displayed.
How do you get the Garmin Mobile XT onto your diamond ?
hmm I had no problem with that. I just put few GB card in to Diamond, and on the pc run GarminMobileXTforWindowsMobile_42050w.exe. wizard appeared, you select the storage (if you want to install to device memory or to card) and thats it. then, if you want, you can install other support files - GarminMobileXTFreeBasemap_4xxxx.exe and GarminMobileXTSupportFiles_4xxxx.exe. then need to use a mapsource program to upload maps. working like a charm in here. all files can be found on www.garmin.sk.

How did you get the unlock code ?

How did you do that? The Diamond doesn't even have a card slot, does it? I thought it was 4Gb fixed internal storage.
