Hi there, just got my Kasier yesterday and was working fine, but took it out of the belt case on getting to work and the screen is super washed-out and white. You can still barely make out some words etc. but something is definately wrong. Rebooting the normally red version numbers in the bottom right are a light cyan/blue! Any ideas? Only other weird thing is battery was down to 77% at 8:15 am from full at 6:30am with about 30 mins WiFi use. Unit gets hot with WiFi but not crazy so, and is not hot now. Rebooting doesn't fix the issue. Help!!!! Thanks for any ideas...(and yes already notified MadMonkeyBoy of the problem since I got it from him).
happend 1year ago with my tytn
Hi,
This behaviour happend to me 1 year ago with my Tytn. since this happend just before my hollidays, I open a ticket to HTC europe, they request me to send it back for repair. When I return from vacation (I let the battery out), I just checked before sending it, and... it was fine... never happend again...
My advice... let it rest a little... you stressed it 2 much...
Now serious... send it to HTC.
Regards,
Joao
does the case have a magnet to hold it closed? i thought i read somewhere on XDA that the when the phone is in a case with a magnet it can cause some problems; i don't recall, though, if this caused problems with the screen... i'm interested to hear feedback, thoughts from other "real" experts.

The case that comes with the Kaiser is not one with Magnets. Similar pouch style but with a tape/velcro fastening.
Having said that I'm using a Hermes case with magnets. It does no harm, though it can operate the screen orientation switch according to reports. In addition it can (again according to reports and tested by me) actually turn the device on from standby so you could drain your battery using such a case.

This happened to me last night. Anyone got any answers? I'm using a Krussel case with a magnet. Phone only bought recently second-hand off ebay - just a few weeks. Gutted here.
Sorry to dig up a thread from the dead, but I just had this happen tonight. It looks EXACTLY like the pics in the OP's post. Has anyone ever found a solution to this problem? Even LCD replacement? I don't mind replacing the LCD If I know it will fix the problem. My fear is buying a replacement LCD and finding out it is some other hardware problem, and I don't want to waste the money on an LCD if it's not the issue at hand.
This is the last of my 30 days to make sure my tilt is perfect. So i was checking it out yesterday and when the keyboard is slid out (not tilted), if you push on the screen and look at the back, you can see and feel that it goes back a little. Should i call in for a replacement? Will this get worst?
how much is a little? All of them will move a little as it needs this slop to open and not have too much friction. My "little" movement is roughly 1/16th - 1/8 of an inch.
lol idk if i can get that technically close. but somewhere around there, not that much, but is it ok? will the ribbon cable get loose over time? would REALLY appreciate it if more people would see if this is commong. mine's about the same thing, not that much, but it still goes back.
Post A Photo!!!
I am intrigued and reminded of all my loose keyboard problems with my original Blue-Angel and then my TYTN.
Please take a photo and post is so we can see properly.
Thanks
Nicholas
What happens after 30 days if something goes wrong. Will AT&T deal with it?
they will but i will likely get a refurbished one, not a brand new one.
@nicholas, there's no way you can see it by a pic, it's not that big lol.
I have broken the screen on my tilt, and, as of last week I am homeless, trying to find a job here in colorado springs. I can't really call anyone without having a screen so i was wondering if anyone had a screen they could donate until I get back up on my feet. I will be able to pay whomever back as soon as I get paid a couple of times. I'm not asking for your sympathy, I just want a ****ing screen i miss my kaiser!!!I feel like an ass for asking, but hey, i gotta do what I gotta do, right? Thanks in advance.
This sucks
I just broke my screen today to, bull****. I am a broke ass college kid to, so I understand the money thing. The best bet in terms of actual paying for a screen is buying one of ebay. The cheapest I've found is $69.99 plus S+H. It comes with instructions too and if you mechanically inclined whatsoever it might be worth a shot. I'm ordering my screen tonight after I give the cash to my buddy so I can use his credit card.
Best of Luck
Thanks for the reply man. I just imagined myself getting flamed to death for posting this, but I'm pretty desperate at this point. Good luck to you too. I've taken apart many a phones, so the installation isn't my problem, attaining the screen is lol. Damn, someone's gotta have a broke tilt layin around with a good screen. I just need a front for a couple of weeks, then I can pay 'em back for it.
shameless bump

My girlfriend has owned her Hero since last November and in the amount of time she has had it, it seems to have changed colors. When she purchased it, it was a grey/pewter color, overtime it has become brown... Has anyone else had this happen? Does Sprint replace phones for cosmetic issues, such as these? Did anyone figure out how to clean it?

Here are two reasons it could be turning brown:
1. It's collecting dirt. Wipe it off with a slightly damp wipe?
2. The phone is becoming wayyyyy too hot, and is starting to discolor the plastic due to the heat.
Is your GF a chain smoker by any chance?
if it has any sort of goldish/greenish haze in it the either she is smoking, or someone she is around very often is smoking.

After working at a service center for a few years I can tell you that they won't swap it for cosmetics unless it messes up the functionality which it doesn't sound like it is
Sent from my HERO200 using XDA App
To clean, try a magic eraser. They clean just about any textured surface.
Sent from my CDMA Hero. I got some hot Froyo-on-Hero action here!
I bought my tab s2 9.7 last October but noticed the other day it is warped or kinked ..especially around the micro sd card area. The glass is still straight but the casing isn't. I've never dropped it or sat on it. Its been In a case and has a glass screen protector from day one. I'm going to contact Samsung about it. Just wondering if anyone else noticed the same thing??
Sent from my Nexus 6P using XDA-Developers mobile app
I just noticed this with mine today as well. Had it for a few months, been very careful with it, never dropped or anything, I have never sat on it.
However it is quite obviously kinked, in the same area, to the point that as much as I use it I would have thought I would notice it before today.
I can only hope it is not the battery swelling that is causing it. Going to call Samsung tomorrow and see if anything can be done with it, although I am not exactly hopeful.
