So I uninstalled Palringo and everytime I restart my TP it tried to start up Palringo. Any Ideas on how to get this removed?
i get the same thing. no idea.
Well, you could try a couple of things:
-Make sure there isn't a .lnk for palringo in \windows\startup, if there is, delete it.
OR
-reinstall palringo, go into settings (in palringo) and uncheck run at startup, then uninstall palringo again.
One of those should do the trick

use dotfreds taskmanager (or equivalent) kill the palringo app, THEN uninstall it.
pat
Install Palringo again, uncheck "run on startup" in settings then uninstall it...
The reinstall uncheck run at startup then uninstall worked.
Thanks
the easiest is going into startup folder and deletingg the link for it

^^ ohh... well i don't want to try palringo again for some reason the last time i tried it every time i boot up my phone, a error always pop up saying palringo.exe can't open error and i had to do a hard reset to take it off.
btw...
Any other good aim programs excluding IM+, it doesn't work on Touch it roms
you probably installed it to storage and thats why you got this error. doing that will also cause SD corruption.
Well I also use Palingro works fine for me. But to answer your question there is "Verichat" and "Agile". Those 2 are good stable messengers. Of course they cost money.
Well, I always try to suggest free solutions to people first.
i don't mind paying, i just need a good stable AIM.
btw.. palringo doesn't work with proxy settigns.. i gave it a try again.. what other programs out there works with proxy settings?
i installed palringo to my device this time and after i removed it, whenver my phone starts up it say Palringo.exe can't run error. Is there anyway i can fix this instead of hard resetting my phone again?
im+ i will pm you
Hey that Palringo works good but how r u charged? is it a text message charge like the stock instant messenger?
You're not charged. It used data... so if you have an unlimited data plan, you'll be ok.

Thats a very simple fix ..... Open your file explorer and go to \Windows\startup ........... and delete the Palringo shortcut
yea i figure it out already. Thanks btw... Well i am going to try those settings and see if it works.. thanks once again
Alright.. i tried those settings and it doesn't seem to be working.. It just keep saying Retrying Connection over and over again.. This is what i did.
Oh PHM Registry Editor i went to HKCU>SOFTWARE>PALRINGO>SETTING then i did "Edit">"New String Value"
For the first one
Value Name:Connection/Proxy/Host
Value Data:216.155.165.50
Second:
Value Name:Connection/Proxy/Port
Value Data:8080
Third:
Value Name:Connection/Proxy/Type
Value Data:1
So total i added three new strings.
Also did a reset after i did all those settings
Does Agile Work with Proxy settings?

Yeah, look at the thread above. you have to add those to the registry on the phone to make it work with the t-zones proxy.

Hi all,
My Kaiser (Vodafone 1615) has developed a problem with the standard Windows Messaging application. It basically won't run at all. When I click on the Messaging application in the Today screen, nothing happens. When I choose Messaging from the Start menu, nothing happens.
A quick bit of history: for several months I've had it set up for connecting to our work Exchange server, so email/calendar/contacts/tasks would get pushed down to the device. I also had IMAP configured to access my gmail account. I would sync calendar/contacts/tasks/notes/files to my home computer (Windows Mobile Device Centre on Vista), and sync notes only to my work laptop (ActiveSync 4.5 on WinXP). It was all working beautifully.
Then, a few days ago I connected my Kaiser to my work laptop and I got error 0x80004005 when it tried to connect to the Exchange server. Since then, I have been unable to access the Messaging application on my Kaiser. I've found quite a few references online to this error code, but nothing that seems particularly useful.
Of course, I've done a soft-reset as well as taken the battery out to do a cold-boot, but to no avail. I suspect that if I were to do a hard-reset then I could get it working again, but I've hesitated so far to do that because I'd have to re-install all my other apps which would take some time, so I'm hoping someone here can help me out!
Maybe this is the opportunity to try out one WinMo 6.1...
Thanks in advance!

Yes, there is a Messaging shortcut in both the Windows and Start Menu folders. It points to "tmail.exe", which exists in the Windows folder. When I try to open tmail.exe directly in File Explorer, nothing happens...

Looks like I am out of ideas. Do u use HTC HOME? If yes, what happens when u hit one of the icons(where it counts your received messages, mails, ...)?
If this is not working, then u should install some sms application and use it instead of the default one.

Yes, I use HTC Home, and I get the same behaviour (i.e. nothing happens) when I click on the two buttons where it counts the number of messages I have.
I'm really thinking I'm going to have to do a hard reset to get this working again unless anyone else has any ideas...
Hi,
Whenever I delete any message from the TF3D screen using the right soft key options Menu>Delete, it gets deleted permanently from the device(does not show up even in the "Deleted Items" of the Messaging Folders. Although it asks for the confirmation first, but wouldn't it have been better if the message went into the deleted items folder first?(just the way it happens in Messaging)
Any way to make TF3D Delete option behave like the delete option of the Messaging application?
Thanks.
I have noticed the same on my phone, but didn't realise it was related to deleting via TF3D. Have you found a solution yet?
No...no solutions yet.
Still no solutions to this, as this is driving me mad.
I like to keep my Inbox 'clean' and sometimes delete to quickly but go to deleted items to recover the message. This doesn't happen anymore, so once it's gone, it's gone.
Anyone know of a tweak?
I solved this by changing my active sync settings...I made it so reconcillation did not keep changes on my phone...only allows deleion on my computer microsoft server owA account
Is this the same for SMS, as this is what I'm referring to. Apologies for not be clear first time around.
go into advance config and under the MESSAGING tab, make sure "Max deleted SMS" is not set to 0. If it is, everything you delete will be deleted permanently and will not be in the deleted items box. It's funny because I hate having to empty out the deleted items box everytime i delete a text...i want it to be gone immediately.
For emails if you go to Tools - Options - Storage tab just change the 'Empty deleted items' to 'manually' then I presume you should be able to do it from your PC.
If that doesn't work on its own then also add 'deleted items' as a sync folder (menu - Tools - Manage Folders) so then should definitely work...
I use the Gmail Java MIDlet to view and organize my Gmail inbox but every few days it will stop working and I'll have to uninstall and download it again.
This hasn't happened with any other programs and its been happening consistently since I got the phone so I doubt another program is interfering with Gmail.
Or, whats your favorite email application, should I just give up on the Gmail MIDlet?
I don't use WM's outlook program because it automatically deletes read emails from the inbox...why would it do that?
I use Opera Mini Browser 4.2. It also Java and works well for other Web pages. I have also tried the Gmail Midlet and haven't had any problems.
hmm weird.. I had been using the gmail applet for few weeks and only just now it somehow stopped working.
it will show loading but nothing happens.
tried soft reset, still the same.
in the end had to uninstall and install again.
now it works..
I'm on PDA Ultimate V10 rom.

It's usually because outlook mobile always shows what's on the mail server, and common PC clients delete messages from the server once they've been downloaded. Just set your PC client to leave the messages on the server for X days.
same here, the gmail java midlet is very moody and often non-responsive. i have experienced this with different rom versions and also with different midlet versions.

I use Gmail for my main email, the emails remain on the server after I view them but are removed from my phone inbox within 30 minutes of being read. So far the only way to keep them available on my phone is by marking them as unread.
Any workarounds?
Regarding the unreliable Gmail Java app: I downloaded the Tao Intent Midlet Manager and installed Gmail to it instead of the Java manager that came stock with my Tilt. The Intent manager takes a little longer to load Gmail but its much more stable and reliable, also it runs in the background so it ends up working faster for me anyway. I could never get Gmail to run in the background with the Tilt's stock midlet manager. Link to Intent manager below,

Hope this helps another,
A.
Hello guys,
I received this phone today and I am very very happy with it. But there are a few problems. I will list them up, sorry for the much questions. If you know any answer to this, please tell it. I will try them all!
1:
When I close Opera it is not fully closed, okay. But when I go into 'Advanced Task Manager' and I go to processes, I keep it pressed and get the option 'Kill'. But it will restart then, how can I avoid this? End Proces has the same problem.
2:
When I install SkyFire I can launch it directly after the installation, that works all fine but when I try to open it from the 'Start' menu it stucks at 'Preparing to load'. How do I get this fixed?
3:
I was trying to set up the email (Hotmail) through IMAP (with POP3 it deletes the emails of the Hotmail server, right?). But how do I do this? What should I fill in in the fields (yes I tried to Google, I also used the answer that was given in this forum). Nothing worked so far.
Regards and thanks,
NLCJ
EDIT:
SkyFire suddenly works, I don't know what I did to get it fixed.
