Hello everyone!I flashed TCP Elite V1 three days ago...Everything perfect the ROM worked like a charm...I also installed djkoa 3g dialer v2...Everything fine...After a few days i noticed that the pureblack theme which is installed inside the rom and it is fully black was changed....The background was black and now is black and purple!!Well i didn't bother and then i saw on people tab of manila very blur photos and like they were having sepia effect...Still no concern for me...But then i opened today my camera and saw that my camera screen was like using thermal googles!!!Like sepia effect was the default...Well i tried to find out what's going on but no luck...I soft reseted hard reseted even changed 4 roms but the problem still persists...A changed theme and the same issue with camera...Also i noticed in the tri color sreen that the green color is not fully green but has some differences but only in the green line......Any ideas???
Any problems with a specific rom after a flash should be posted in that specific rom thread!!!
sure thing i did that but this is a general problem...Every rom i flash from now on keeps doing this...So any thoughts?
Sounds like a general problem that should be asked about in the general forum for Kaisers, not ROM developement. Not to seem harsh, but non-rom related posts clutter up the ROM forum and make it hard to find the right info.
It sounds like a hardware problem with your screen.
ok then if a mod thinks it's wrong placed please move it...

Hmmm are all other colors in the ROM look ok? Maybe LCD giving out?
sounds like its an issue with your phone, not the software.
well i think it's the lcd...Because when i try to capture a photo the screen looks like it's sepia effected.Although i took a photo...In my mobile it looked like sepia and couldn't see a thing...When i transfered the photo to my pc the picture was clear....

that is definitely your LCD then, you can get a new one on ebay. though changing it is not fun
well yes i found an lcd for 25 pounds but now i'm in dilemma i don't know if i should buy it since i don't know if i can't replace it...And since you say it is not fun i am much more discouraged because it will be difficult...

There are guides on how to do it some of them show you strip whole thing but there is also a way to just unscrew the 4 x screws on back of display undo ribon cable carefully attach new and slip screen screen in do up screws "i haven't done it" but read it on XDA will be worth finding guide as has pics
Screen replacement is too bad... find a youtube video and watch that first so you have a good idea.
All you gotta do is remove the back of the panel that holds the screen, no need to take the whole thing apart... 4 screws, 2 top and 2 on the bottom outer edges. You do need to get a Torx head driver in the right size... it can be kinda hard finding them that small, but Sears should have a Craftsman set of micro torx head drivers.
As long as you are methodic and careful with what you do, you will be just fine.
maybe radio?

Tried a different radio version?
changing lcd
please please be EXTRA careful with the flew cable, one in the kaiser got slightly bent and pulled by the slider and now I have a white screen on good days, and very thin earthy-toned vertical rainbow or rain on resets...

I have the same thing and tried the different methods (including playing a video that is supposed to help) but nothing worked. Mine is in the corner so I have learned to live with it but it sounds like you might need to get the unit swapped out. Will be interested to hear if HTC obliges.

yeah, my single pixel shows light blue down on the lefthand corner as well. it doesn't bother me in the least.
I got my screen repaired UNDER WARRANTY! You should at least try it.
I heard awful stories how HTC refused to swap devices/screens under warranty, because of dead/stuck pixels, if there isn't like 4-6 there.
But still, at least I got my Kaiser repaired under warranty, just by calling HTC official support. Got a statement there that my provider should fix it, then took down the reference number from HTC case and called my provider, and they agreed to swap it! (gave the reference number, and told that the screen is supposed to be swapped!) I am so happy right now! *Knocking the wood*. Hope I'll really get it back after 2 weeks with no stuck pixels on it anymore.
Of course I needed to tell them at HTC that I think itäs totally unacceptable to have 1 stuck pixel on the screen. As in comparison to 19 inches screen that equals to 15 stuck pixels! Don't know if that affected the decision, or maybe the customer support technician was one of the nice kind.
I had a blue dot on left corner also, i could see only on black screen ! so ... Accidentally i found a solucion... note: in my case works ! with my finger, i just press a little bit hard on the right down corner, and the blue dot Disappeared... but when i press hard on the corner with blue dot, it came back... so, I presume that is a bad connect in same way... i order a new screen anyway, but still use the old one Without blue dot .
p.s sorry my
i have a white dot in my splash screen
and i adore it!!!!
I suddenly started experiencing a small white box under the X (to close/move apps to backgrubnd) on my stock HTC TyTN II. I can't really say when it first appeared but I'm pretty sure it happened today when I switched skins. I switched back to the stock skin of course but the little white box is still there.
Any ideas how to solve this?
If it's a uncommon problem I can try to post a pic but I don't have nay app to do screenshots on my phone so if needed please give me a hint there as well.
Also: I tried searching both the forum and google for this but I couldn't find anything that seemed really relevant to my problem.

Try THIS. You can make screenshots from your PC. It's still there after a soft-reset?
Problem solved (it was the "show battery status during call" tweak that for whatever reason didn't work with my current skin.
I disabled the tweak, chose my skin, rebooted the device, applied the tweak, rebooted again and now it's working properly.
Thanks for the proggy though, I was just thinking about this (showing my phone display on my desktop screen) earlier today.
Here's my story:
I recently bought this phone for only $125 - not bad deal if you ask me. I knew from the beginning that the screen was a little mess up, even the guy I bought it from knew that. You would need a flash light in order to see what was on the screen. From any other point of view, it's just totally dark/black. So the guy was gracious enough to include a new lcd screen which he ordered to replace the old one. So I decided to undertake the task of putting it in myself. Once that was all said and done, I powered the tilt up and it was doing the exact same thing before I put the new lcd screen in, which was not lighting up the screen and it was still very dark to see anything.
With a flashlight, you can see that it's still working and the touchscreen works fine too. I think another person posted a thread with the same problem, but no one really replied back to him. Has anyone come across this problem before? Some have said that it's the flex cable that connects to the front d-pad and lcd screen itself is the cause for the back light issue. Any suggestions out there?
If I were you I'd try to figure out the pinouts for the LCD panel. Try to see if the Kaiser is outputting the necessary voltage for the backlight. Also try the opposite and apply voltage to the LCD to test the backlight.
Unless it is 2 back LCDs, I'm assuming there is a fault somewhere internal and not turning on the backlight.
I've never taken my tilt apart, but this is where I would start.
I wouldn't know where to begin to troubleshoot a device like this. Lol! It's fairly easy to take apart - there's actually a video on youtube that takes you step-by-step. I guess this isn't as common as some problems are, but I don't want to spend money having someone else fix something that could be so minute. And prices for some of the replacement parts are almost as expensive as what I bought the phone for.
When I took my tilt apart, physically, everything looked good from what my eyes can see. A little cleaning here and there, nothing major. The guy who had it before me flashed the rom to try and make it look like it had touchflo on it so I reflashed it back to the original rom software (or at least, whatever was on the HTC website). I tried doing hard resets, soft resets, rom flashing and everything, still no luck.
This may be a problem beyond the scope of android, but seeing as I'm running it, I thought I'd try here first.
I've noticed that the lower left hand side of my screen has a "dead spot" where touch is simply not registered. To illustrate, I went to screen calibration's test screen and drew a straight line along the edge of the screen. (See Attachment)
I've tried recalibrating the screen (manually and resetting to default calibration) as well as wiping data and reinstalling the system. Reinstalling the system worked once, but then the problem came back and subsequent reinstalls did not fix the issue.
I'm running Incubus26jc super froyo [RLS 12] on the 15-07-10 340X480 Froyo Kernel.
Anyone else seen anything like this? As far as I can tell, the problem is not getting any worse. Currently, it's only a hindrance when trying to use keys in that region, but I can work around it by switching to and from landscape. It's a bit of a hassle, so I'm hoping someone may be able to shed some light on the situation.
I was sure it was hardware until the system reinstall fixed it, but am now baffled as I can no longer replicate the fix.
I have not tried reinstalling the kernel but will at some point in the next day or so. I'd like to avoid switching back to WM to check if the problem persists, but may have to... we'll see. Doing everything I can to make this phone last until the Incredible month of February when I'm up for an upgrade.
dont know the issue resolution... but i have the same with my touch vogue.. and in the same 'area' apparently as well.
hard for me to hit the 'a' key on my keyboard. hehe
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one... anyone else?
Bottom right corner for me... I was able to calibrate around it but it took a few tries.

The sensitivity across my screen was inconsistent some time ago. I found that years of my abuse had taken a tole on the exterior of my phone. It eventually got worse and I bought a new housing (with a new digitizer) on ebay for a reasonable price. If it is hardware then it really isn't that hard to fix if you like taking things apart.
If you're sure that win mo accepts input from that part of the screen then nevermind my post. I would play with a painting app though and investigate the hardware further.
I may be talking a little out my a$$ with this part but.. is it possible that in calibrating your screen the os may change it's settings on how hard you have to press and such also. that may be how you got it working.
In any case, my investment in a hew housing was well worth it considering how modern my old phone has become thanks to the developers here.

In my case, no - when drawing a straight line down or across the screen, the line starts 'moving' away from the stylus (like the picture in the OP).
Gah... now it's shutting itself off randomly and the dead spot has grown. Not good at all.
Yeah, mine was better for a while then 'slid' again. I ended up swapping the digitizer with my other Vogue and things are back to normal.

I have another vogue, but am weary of doing anything like that. How hard was it to get done?
All you need to do is switch the front half of the housing rather than the digitizer itself- it's not hard. There's a teardown guide somewhere in the forum, Google Vogue teardown and it should be at the top.

The only thing that worries me is that my spare vogue exists because it was dropped in a muddy puddle. I'm hoping the water damage isn't too bad. Guess we'll just have to see.
it is really annoying
I have the exact same problem and I too thought it was a hardware issue till I saw this Thread. I was ignoring it till two days ago when it started really bugging me. Now, I don't even need to press any button and it automatically gets pressed around the curve and I have a google search box there, so it keeps on searching for eee or sss randomly and started draining my battery. Is there a proper fix for this?
I thought I'd chime in too... I could never seem to calibrate the touchscreen properly in either Android or Debian. Changing the screen resolution (i.e. msmfb scaling) seems to have no effect, whether it's 240x320 or 640x480. Any area within 5mm or so of the edges of the LCD will register as the edge, making "A" and several other keys on the virtual keyboard impossible to hit. Passing calibration values to the kernel didn't seem to fix anything, but it's possible I was using them the wrong way...
i have the same kind of problem on my Kaiser... i think its realted to hardware... either the housing or the digitizer...
I am experiencing the same problem on X10 mini pro. the same screen spot exactly, i have to try very hard to get z or x or shift to work. Sometimes when I try locking the screen and unlocking it back, it works.
update
so after a very long time with this problem i decided to change the digitizer and problem is gonne. visualy the broken digitizer had nothing wrong with it. The fix was fairly easy though, there is no glued parts involved into getting a new digitizer on the u20i.
Touch Screen
I just bought a brand new Cubot One and it looks more than perfect! It has just a little problem with the touch screen ( I think its the software, need ROM change). There is a dead line on the right side of the screen that touch doesn't work at all. Any solutions? Anyone faced that before? Can I fix it myself or do I have to send it back for replacement? Is there any video or guide that shows its done?
I uploaded a video on YouTube to show the problem but i cant post it yet.. (new member)
You can write "Cubot One touch screen problem" and it's the 1st one.
Thank You!
Hey guys, have a look at these stuck pixels. The occur only on a special grey tone but they happen... Especially on the flashlight app or the topbar of the (old) playstore... I made some pictures of it.
The funny or strange about them are that they dont appear on various pixel tester apps. That means: On a clear Black, White, Red, Green, Blue, Yellow, Cyan OR Magenta colored screen they are not visible. Just only on some special grey mixture which i couldnt clearly reproduce because the screenshots the htc make are very low quality.
If you look closely, especially the foto of the playstore. the stuck pixels are only in special rows

what do you think about that? fixable or not?
The SN begins with HT343
I would do a factory reset and if that does not help ask for an exchange.
Factory Rest didnt help and i made one earlier this morning. I'll change it. I dont know what it is and it seems that this kinda problem never occured anywhere so the safest way is to send it back and get a new one
if it was a computer i would say the problem is at the hardware on graphics chipset. in this case looks like hardware fault too but hope you can handle it with software.

I send it back one hour ago. If it makes things like that after a day, what will it do after a year?
