ok i am trying to adb my phone but when i plug it in to my computer it comes up unkown device. under device manager. how do i get it to work?
When i uninstall and reinstall it comes up newdev.ext - bad image
try following the directions in this thread it is how i set up adb on my phone.
if you have haykuro's spl then you will need the drivers from his site to get it to work. i think you can get haykuro's updated drivers from here hope this helps.

Hello,
I need some help with my HTC Blackstone. After numerous attempts to upgrade my ROM to Miri_WM61_21054_Manila_2.5_V2.1.rar and EnergyROM BLACKSTONE 20090829 StandardM2.5.rar (WM6.5) I succeeded in “breaking” my phone.
My ROM version was 1.56.401 (installed the update from htc.com: RUU_BlackStone_HTC_Europe_1.56.401.0_Radio_52.62.25.34_1.13.25.24_Ship.exe).
First I tried the EnergyROM using the HSPLWrapper_Blackstone_156OliNex.exe and SSPL-Manual-TouchHD.exe but I kept getting the 262 and 260 errors. After I downloaded the Miri_WM61_21054_Manila_2.5_V2.1.rar and also tried with the HSPLWrapper_Blackstone_156OliNex.exe and SSPL-Manual-TouchHD.exe and I kept getting the same errors. Then I had the brilliant idea to try the BlackstoneRUUWrapper.exe that was in the Miri archive. The progress bar went from 0 to 100% in 3sec and then I realized that I did something bad.
Now everything is in green tones on my display but when I turn it off and then back on the colours come back to normal. Also the Windows is working very very hard. I managed to sync it with the PC and install the ROM from HTC website RUU_BlackStone_HTC_Europe_1.56.401.0_Radio_52.62.25.34_1.13.25.24_Ship.exe but I have the same problem.
Can somebody please provide a solution to fix my phone.

connect ur phone in active sync mode with ur pc.
then run the HSPL olines wrapper.
ull enter a tricoloured screen which will say 1.56.OLINEX.
disconnect and reconnect ur USB cable.
Run the EXE in the downloaded ROM.
ull be ready with the new rom..
this is assuming u have Win XP. for other OS u need to dnload drivers from the thread mentioned in the above post.
Generally speaking if you are experiencing discolourization it is because your SPL is incorrect.
Check your SPL in bootloader. Then follow this guide. Any future queries regarding flashing should be posted in that thread and myself or others will help you. If no one responds PM me and I'll respond next time I'm online.

I followed some steps to get fastboot to work and I got the dev spl. Ok when I'm in fastboot I says that I need to install the htc dream driver, so the post I read told me to use the same driver that I got adb to work, so I did and it said, cannot start this hardware...there was a problem installing htc dream......this device cannot start. Code 10................ I have the debug checked. I flashed the dev spl 2 my dream. So any help would be appreciated....

if its the driver you need installed, download and install PDAnet. just google for it. it automatically installs the ADB drivers. just follow the on screen setup
i have tried installing and uninstalling drivers for my g1, i have pretty much determined that the problem that i am having about the g1 preparing the sd card right after mounting. I need to Install the drivers that correspond with the g1. How do i go about doing this because i cannot locate where to update the driver because i do not know which one is which. Help would be appreciated.

hi, im trying to install drivers for android in XP there are plenty drivers and guides here. so now i really dont know which one install. i got latest hardspl, dwang-v1.10 rom, g1.
there are drivers in

so wich one choose, and then phone online state: install driver? if so which one?
bootloader? fastboot which one install?
i doing this because im trying to connect in bootloader mode. phone says fastboot usb i can see my phone in device manager installed fine but no adb devices or fastboot devices.

There is a newer SPL that has additional keypresses for rebooting the phone, as well as progress indicators while flashing. It is located here

The 'updated' driver is only for 1.33.2005 SPL, not Hard SPL.
Use the first one.
Running Win7, HTC Sync installed and a NEW Hero with .6. According to all i read I need to RUU to the .5 version, I try, I follow the instruction but keep getting a USB connection error when it is looking for the boot loader...UGH, I need help. Im on Gtalk at jwkoppe...thanx
Is your phone showing in adb .... adb devices.
It sounds like your usb driver is not setup correctly, wi7 seems to have an issue with this.
