I had someone update my at&t tilt, afterwords i can make or receive one call the the speaker makes a slight buzzing sound and i cant hear or talk to anyone on the phone, incoming or outgoing. all the other functions work like there supposed to.

Might be due to the wrong radio version for the ROM !

My audio sound is not working

I upgraded to WM6.5 and after flashing everything seems fine but I noticed the sound is not working when I play music and if calls comes in I cant hear it ring.
Please help me what should I do? I really need your help.

You need to look in the ROM thread for recommended Radio or other users of ROM Radio, then go to Radio STICKY download the Radio & Flash it...
And maybe even search for your problem.

at&t tilt sound problem after incoming call

hi forum. i have been looking around to solve this problem but i wasn't able to find a solution yet so i am asking here.
i had a tilt working great, i had an accident and the phone is destroyed so i get another one.
it is the same phone but it just don't have the camera, this one came with a new version of windows mobile(6.1).
i am now having this issue, when i get an incoming call and i answer i can't hear anything from the other side and the other side can't hear me either.
after that, the phone gets totally muted, it don't make any more sound when sliding or whatever.
the only way to fix it is reboot the phone, that way i get sound again but after i get an incoming call the problem happens again.
the problem wasn't happening if i made the call but today i made a long call and after a while talking i got a constant buzz, the buzz only stopped after i turned off the phone.
any help will be apreciated as i am totally lost here.
thanks.
Have you tried flashing a different radio or a different ROM?
talking with my vendor it seems that he flashed the rom and maybe the porblem can be the radio.
i am reading here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=393182 but i dont have idea wich radio should i download and either how to make the installation.
my device information is:
ROM version: 3.57.502.2 WWE
Rom date: 07/17/2008
Radio Version: 1.70.OliNex
Protocol Version: 25.65.30.04H
so maybe the radio is not compatible with the rom and that is why i am having issues with the sound ?
That is a possibility. The nice part about flashing radios is that they are completely independent from the ROM. When you flash a radio it won't flash or reset your device. Therefore, you can flash and test as many radios as you want without any real negative side-effects Just stick with the one that ends up working the best for you!
Digital Outcast, thank you for your help.
do you think you or someone can point me to a tutorial to flash the radio only ?
i am finding how to update the rom but not the radio only.
thank you again.
To flash the radio follow the same steps as flashing the ROM. You need only the radio (.nbh file) and the Kaiser Custom RUU. Just don't do a hard-reset or anything after it completes!
cool, i installed a new radio and it fixed that problem, i am checking other common features of the phone, for now everything seems to be fine.
thank you very much for your help
Problem with incoming call
I have exactly the same problem and the same versions of software and firmware. Which version of the radio firmware did you install? Where did you get it? This is my first use of a smart phone and don't know much at all about where to get this.
Thanks!!

Start by reading the stickies. Always best place to start. Or if you are lazy and wish to just jump to radios use this >link<. But I definitely recommend you read all the stickies before flashing a device for the first time. Just start with the newest radio and work backwards til you find a good one for your device.

Kaiser doesn't call after 1 call

Hi I'm new around here. Thanks to the NOOB install guide I could install a great rom from this site. It worked great... untill I made a call. I called someone and after the call I couldn't call anyone untill I soft reseted the phone. I tried to install another rom for the kaiser and I even tried the wm 6.5 rom. They all work but after 1 call the call function cuts working. Is this an common problem?
Could someone help me
you're obviously new here, so welcome!
somehow, i think you're under the impression that we are mind readers
did you search here on the forum? did you read the wiki? which particular flashing guide for noobs did you follow? which ROMs EXACTLY did you try?
what i mean to say is BE PARTICULAR and DETAILED in your posts...and this is a NECESSITY if you are starting a new thread...which really doesn't seem appropriate (yet) because your issue SEEMS to be caused by an unmatched radio version and/or SPL version...BOTH SPL version and radio version must be versions that are meant for windows mobile 6.1/6.5 if you tried 6.1/6.5 ROMs. i have a feeling your SPL is one meant for windows mobile 6.0...another possibility is that the ROMs you tried DID NOT come with a radio (some ROMs do, some ROMs don't) and so your radio version might also be one meant for windows mobile 6.0.
please read the wiki to find out how to determine your radio version and your SPL version...then post back here
you might want to re-read the noob flashing guide also
and to reiterate, always be detailed and always SEARCH thoroughly
good luck
same problem
I have exacly the same problem.
I used Kaiser Unlocker V2.0 Made by Olipro - 2008
The phone actually dials the numbers but there is no sound either out or in.
also when recieving a txt message the vibrate remains on contant.
My Kaiser is running WM6.1
operator v 24.328.1.610
Rom version 3.28.61.0 WWE
date: 05/02/08
Radio Version 1.70.OliNex
protocol version 25.65.30.04H
Honestly i'm less than a neebie! Although an experenced PC engineer, I only wanted to undo the Orange SIM lock before I go overseas for 6 months to an area that only operates Cable & Wireless mobile.
Mentioned above is a note about out of date radio version, the Rom date does seem a little old for WM6.1, what should I be looking for to update the radio?
any advice is greatly recieved.
Thanks
Ian
the unlocker essentially uses a "special" radio+SPL combo that is meant for unlocking ONLY
you seem to still have the said radio version (indicated by the "1.70.OliNex" string)
so verify that your phone is indeed sim unlocked. then proceed to change your spl and radio to the recommended ones for windows mobile 6.1. the unlocking should "stick" after changing the radio+spl combo but do verify before starting and after completing the update.
nice to see you are a PC engineer so you'll have no trouble thoroughly reading the wiki (first link in my signature) and making sense of the wealth of information there on how to update your radio (get a suitable one from the "Ultimate Radio Thread" linked in my signature) and spl.
good luck!
Thanks very much, a temp radio... that makes sence.
Thanks again
Ian

Cant get Mic to work.

So i flashed my tilt to HardSPL3.29 then ran the procedure to unlock it. So when i insert my SIM card i can make calls but no one can here me. I have read everywhere and cant seem to find the issue. I have tried different radios and OS roms. I did make sure they were compatible. Is there something i am missing? OR did i just make my phone useless?
Thanks for all the great information on here. I could not believe i made it this far. Any help is very much appreciated.
Hard SPL isn't going to touch the microphone, and if you didn't flash a new ROM then the radio should be fine.
Could be a hardware problem, unrelated to the flashing.
Can you record anything, using HTC recorder or notes?
No i cant record anything also.
Running the unlocker flashed the radio.
Flash a new radio and you'll be fine : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=393182
Dave
I did flash a new radio and it still does not work. I am lost with all the different versions and release by different people. I even flashed it back to WM6.0 ATT Rom with the 1.27 radio and i still can make calls but no one can hear me. I am also running hardspl 3,56, When i try to flash a Radio i get a RSA error or something. I then have to flash a complete radio/rom image to the phone to get it to boot. Should i be running a different HardSPL?
hello
had the same problem
i changed the microphone all ok now
Is it easy to change the microphone? I have a similar problem, in that it's intermittent. On some calls people can here me, on other calls they can't. I've tried various radios, but not managed to cure it. It's come to the point where I can't trust my TyTN 2 anymore, and I'm now using an old Samsung phone.
hi
not very hard to change micro but hard to open the phone.
plz any one have link to buy microphone !!

Noob Needing Help: Tytn II

Hi there, found my old Tytn II lying and decided i wanted to unlock it to use with my current SIM. I searched on ways to unlock it and found the "kaiserunlocker" followed all the steps and hey presto it was unlocked! I was over the moon! That is until i noticed the handset no longer making noises? I have searched and searched again, all the talk of "correct radios" and flashing rom etc has me totally lost, infact the phone wont make calls and is generally very slow?
Please Help!
Glenn.
Ps. sorry for being such a noob
All info you need is in the stickies. Yes sounds like you need to flash a new radio version. Links to get you started:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=433835
i have been in these threads, when doing all the searching etc. I dont know what im doing... im in a total state of confusion now? i dont understand what a rom and a radio is or for that matter an spl?

This is the place to start, to undersatnd all you want to know

After reading, then come back with specific questions and it will be easier to help once you aquire a knowledge base.
Ok, had a good read there, just tried to make a phone call on the handset there and it didnt work, upon reading about roms, radio roms etc. I believe that the phone has the wrong radio rom, Text Messages are working, but not phone calls,
I looked in this thread as advised - forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=393182
But Cant seem to find the below in Bold?
Heres what my phone says in Device Information,
Operator Version: 21.181.1.612
ROM Version: 1.81.61.2 WWE
ROM Date: 09/20/07
Radio Version: 1.65.20.29
Protocol Version:25.88.40.04H
Thanks.
PS. im willing to learn! Thanks for you quick replies!
1.81.61.2 WWE is the ORANGE UK kaiser ROM
The radio looks to be correct for that ROM too, my advice would be to HardSPL it (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=433835 part 1 thru 5 )
Then go get the HTC stock ROM from here ( http://rapidshare.com/files/157469239/Kaiser_HTC_ASIA_HK_WWE_3.34.721.2.rar ).
The stock ROM above also contains a matched Radio, so this should either cure the problem, or at least give you a clue if it's hardware or software problems you face.
Its working! You guys are superb! Thanks for your help and advice!!
