Some problems after I have flashed - Touch HD Windows Mobile ROM Development

Hi!
Today I've decided, after many reads to update my HTC Touch HD to a cooked ROM.
So I've followed this procedure and all was ok:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3625567&postcount=272
I choosed the EnergyRom Leo Standard M2.5.
So first thing, my screen is blue since the start, but it became ok if I just turn off and up the screen.
Second problem, after 1-2 minute of use, the screen doesn't respond anymore.
I said ok, and I tried another rom, the XannyTechROM Grid Leo, and same problems! What is wrong?
Can you help me?
Thank you!

Your problem is classic for not having the correct SPL. You need to flash 1.56 or greater. Please refer to this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=505377, and in the future post all questions there. Good luck!

Okay, so if I understand good, I must use HSPL instead of USPL?

You can also flash an official ROM with 1.56SPL and use USPL.

If I want to update to one in french, I absolutely need to use this one:
RUU_BlackStone_HTC_FRA_1.56.406.1_Radio_52.62.25.34_1.13.25.24_Ship.exe?
Because the download is very slow :S

I just finish to download and install the previous ROM, but it's written now SPL-1.54 in the boot loader, will it be enough?

Before flashing any rom based on 1.56+ you need to have either SPL 1.56.Olinex (using HSPL) or SPL v 1.15.USPL (Using USPL)
All this info can be found in dummies guide thread. No need for another.

Can't upgrade to cooked ROM

hello guys...i've been trying to upgrade to this Romeo's rom....but seems there's a problem with it...after i copy n run the jump spl, the screen become tri color...n i waited for the "usb" words to appear in the middle of the screen, but it didn't appear....and because of this i've been stuck at these steps for few days...i hav searched at the wiki's, but couldnt find about this probl..help pls guys...thanks in advvnce,,
okay..think i find the way now..searchd again at the wiki...n the suggestion was to reflash the original rom...think this is my original rom "1.81.707.0 (radio 1.27.12.11) Dopod WWE "...the question is...the rom version and the radio version is different here....the rom vers is exactly the same wit my rom...but the radio is different....should i just proceed or not?
What version of JumpSPL are you using? Mine, and a couple of other's as well, didn't show the "USB" with version 1.93. Try version 1.56 and it should work.
Please tell me that you are not trying to flash a ROM using JumpSPL...
i've been told to use this "JumpSPL1.93-KAIS" in order to use the "@ROMEOS_v3_5"...i just follow the steps given to me...
Connect Kaiser to computer using USB cable
Make sure ActiveSync icon is GREEN
RUN kaiser-HardSPL.exe on Computer (PC)
Follow instructions on screen:

JumpSPL
HardSPL
ROMeOS
in that order...
Ok, so I know I have posted this before....and have seen it posted in about 100 other places ( not to mention the ROM UPGRADING thread right on the front page of the WIKI ). JUMPSPL is ONLY used to flash your current locked spl into a HARDSPL.
Step 1
Run JumpSPL on the phone
Step 2
Flash HARDSPL onto the phone
Step 3
Using HARDSPL, Flash your ROM and/or RADIO
NEVER NEVER NEVER DEVIATE FROM THIS!!!!!

In answer to your Question, Yes.
Read the instructions of Post #2 very carefully of this thread to install Hard SPL: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=396922.
Then flash the ROM.

For a nice UI try the [27-08-08] L26 KaiserDiamond Throttle Launcher (Beta 6 released!). ROMeOS is fast and stable though, best way to find out is to try them.

Did i brick it ?

OK i think i ****ed up bigtime.
I was on HSPL, and at first i flashed a stock rom.
After that i flashed DUtty's rom and it went ok.
It booted up with green screen problem and loads of locks and really really slow. After that i tried to use uspl but i was getting connection problems. After that i thought i should go to 1.15 stock spl and so i flashed that one, in order to use uspl. But the problems still persist, and now i cant revert back to a previous cooked rom.
Any suggestions ?
Use Manually Bootloader
Go back to stock spl, first flash stock rom, use sspl manual turn olinex and flash stock spl and then u can hspl again.
Hope it solves the prob. Just take a look at my Grafik Problem thread!

Hi,
Why, Windows 7 has the same drivers like Vista???
Can You express more crearly?
i flashed on Win 7 (build 7077)... i had to roll back the HTC USB Sync driver as explained in many threads about flashing the latest HD ROM v 1.56. i think some of our fellow members are not following all the steps to flash with the new ROM/SPL.

A message to all flashers:
Read the instructions thorougly. If you cannot say that you understand 100 % of what the instructions tells you, read them again or do some research.
After following these steps you will almost certainly have a much better experience with custom ROMs.

i tried reverting the drivers but it is simply not working. i am thorough and i do read the details.
I had no problems with the drivers. I just followed the correct procedures mentioned in the wiki and post#6 of Duttys v2.8 rom
Have you tried rebooting pc afterwards and pressing F8 as per the instructions to help load them?
i flash on windows 7 7068 almost 10+ times already with no issue , using custom ruu.

The instructions for all the different flashing methods are a big mess if you ask me.
There is no red thread, they all just blend together in a big mess and leave out answeres to simple questions that would clearify stuff for newbies.
The more i read the long pages of instructions the more confused i get.

I agree, they can be confusing, but once you have mastered it, you'll wonder what the problem was!
What exactly are you confused with? What steps have you taken? Where are you now in the process?
Don't worry about the phone it will be ok.
The steps are as follow:
1). Flash hardspl
2). Flash a stockrom
3). Flash USPL 2.5
4). With USPL on your phone flash to Dutty
To revert back to previous roms:
1). Flash hardspl
2). Flash your previous rom.

Im fine, thanx, I have flashed my phone twice without big problems.
But the second time I got really confused when i tried to really understand it and followed the instructions step by step, it just sent me in a loop between all the different pages.
A simple question and a simple answere in the ROM-thread solved my confusion then, and now I just ignore the ramblings in the instruction pages.

I have a question about this. As my HD was replaced (warranty) I don't know which version I have (O2 or HTC). My first HD was a O2 branded with 1.14.207 ROM, the replaced one (from the same supplier) came with the 1.14.407 ROM which is the official German HTC ROM. I've just tried to download the newly released ROM by HTC, but the site states that the new ROM is not available for my device (but I could at least register the device). Could be that this is because it's an O2 device or probably because the new ROM wasn't yet released in German?
So is it really important to flash exactly the stock ROM (as the CID has to fit) or is it okay - like Laurentius said - to flash any stock ROM? Don't wanna brick my device when upgrading to 1.54/1.56...btw...why one has to go to a stock ROM when upgrading to 1.5x afterwards? Is there a difference when upgrading from 1.14 to 1.5x instead of 1.19 to 1.5x? I didn't get it yet...
Thanks in advance,

Any stock rom should do it as Laurentius said
A lot of confusion has come about from these newer cooked 1.56 roms so I wrote a guide. If you still have confusion please read the guide in my signature
Windows 7 is also most definitely not an issue. Several of us here are using it successfully.

flashing rom 1.56.404.1

Hi
I already reed the wiki about flashing, but my englisch is not so good, and i want to be sure.

is that possible en what do i need(hspl)
Please someone help me?
just tell me the programms, and when i know what i need,i start reeding again.
regards stef
1.Back to stock 1.14
2.You must flashing this with uspl 2.5
3.After install HSPL with uspl 2.5
4.Now you can install any custom rom-not 1.56,with 1.56 only kwbr 3.4.6
Best regards
Every files you will found in wiki
Just flash the HSPL from the sticky thread in this forum. Read everything CAREFULLY and you won't have a problem! If you want, you can flash instead of the HSPL the USPL, its your choice. But don't ask me whats better, cause I used my whole "blackstone"-life only the HSPL. Its working very good. Then you take a ROM of your choice (advertisement (lol): I love Davideucks work everything!) and put the ruu_signed.nbh on your storage card (on the Root!). Then you rename it to blacimg.nbh, shut you hd off and trun it again on by holding the volume down butten and the power button simultanously, then you do the steps written on your device. Thats all in short but read EVERYTHING carefully!!! Normally you can't do anything wrong, but you know, you have the first time to do everything 100%. So now happy flashing!!! And be careful, its highly, highly addictive!!
Greets, cad^^
ok..so do i have to go back in rom,or just flash the HSPL...i mean in the first pst he tells me to go back, and you tell me to just flash HSPL..
regards stef
Oh, I'm sorry!! I think he's correct!!! I didn't have this "problem", as I never had 1.56 Rom, but I heard quite some problems/new ways for it. So, better do it the way the first post wrote it, its better and more safe, I'm sure. Hehe, or you wait until HSPL 1.56 comes out but as a flashing-junkie I won't tell you this ever so, good luck! And reading the xda-wiki is always very good! Greets, cad^^

Screen Colors

Hy Guys,
I just hard spld my HTC Touch HD and all the colors of the screen look
oil smudged every time i boot up the device.
The htc logo , the wm6.1 screen have this problem
and after i refresh the screen (sleep button) it comes back to normal.
and everytime i reset the phone its the same thing until I refresh the screen
can anyone help me out ??
thank you
the attached image is a render of how horrible the screen looks.
Bad flash? Probably no HardSPL installed?
I suggest you read the Dummies Guide to see if you flashed correctly.
Then you can follow the steps to get your Blackstone normal again
from OliNex's post:
1) download Hard-SPL package from attachment, use 1.56 HSPL (HSPLWrapper_Blackstone_156OliNex.zip ) if you want to use new 1.5x ROMs. then extract to an empty folder.
NOTE: 1.14 HSPL (the original Unsigned_HardSPL_for_Blackstone_OliNex.zip) is good for only older ROMs, 1.56 HSPL (HSPLWrapper_Blackstone_156OliNex.zip) is good for newer ROMs. 1.56 is not backwards compatible with old ROMs. the incompatible ROM will still boot but screen is going to look funny which is a temporary issue but uncomfortable.
read more here
You flashed a 1.56+ ROM without having the 1.54 SPL! As suggested, use the Dummies Guide to flash HSPL. Or if you want to use USPL flash an official 1.56+ ROM first! (Then reflash this one.)

Remove Hard-SPL

Hi, can you help me with how to remove the Hard-SPL to upgrade to the original ROM for HTC Touch Pro 2. I'm from Bulgaria, the phone is not locked to an operator (AT & T Orange), etc. What files will I need and how. I also want to download the original Rom from the site of HTC. Thanks in advance!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=550131
All info you need is here.
One note from my experience: first downgrade to original rom then install original spl. I had an issue, it was bricked, but all it needed was to one more time upgrade original rom.
You mean that you must first install the original Rom (I could not download it from HTC's site can help you). And then correct me if I'm wrong:
First you say to install the original ROM.
2nd to download RhodiumSPLRelocker_079SPL.zip unzip it and run. Exe
3rd Stock_SPL_Restore_084.zip to download and in the same way as putting a new ROM to choose it (unzip it first)
Do I need to do Hard Reset at any time? And maybe a little help otkade to download original ROM.
I did this from the link you gave me in boot loadera get out this Oninex, then I load again ROM-a which had previously tried to put my original and gave me an error
The instructions say to flash the stock ROM before you re-lock SPL.
I have failed to: (i already made a re-lock SPL ... now what to do: (
I am still with Energy ROM, which I had to do before re-spl .. in boot loadera now I do not go Olinex 0,85 as before ... what to do?
Sorry for my bad English!

i don't think you can re-lock your phone with custom rom on your phone but what you do is hard_spl it (if spl re-locked) then
task 29 ----> install stock rom ----> re-lock spl
good to go

this is the right Stock Rom correct me if I'm wrong. Inastaliram it and to 0% gave me an error. - 294 Invalid Vender ID.
But it's not e what I need.
I'm not too far into things ...
Please help, now I can not get no ROM, and this olinex do not write anymore. and gives me an error any attempt to put the new ROM. Now when I work under the Energy ROM ...
Hi
Before flashing another rom, please use the tool called task29. get it here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=649191
Check here for another rom for your device http://rapidshare.com/#!download|33...dio_Rhodium_4.49.25.17_Signed_Ship.exe|180171
or here http://shipped-roms.com/index.php?category=windows mobile&model=Rhodium
use the SPL relocker tool LAST
Good luck!
Hello, thank you for the help you gave me, but I think we still have a problem (task29). Do the following:
1 - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=649191 here I lost my task29.zip.
2 - unzip it, inside there was task29, had ROMUpdateUtility.exe. ROMUpdateUtility.exe and opened as follows next .. next .. me and sticks to 0%.
In the above post I mentioned that yesterday I did relock SPL before I know that I need to do this first (I do not write now in olinex boot loadera). I think from there
:-( you're in bad way. look for some help here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=550540
The solutions mentioned above will NOT work, because you don't have hardspl installed.
Flash Hardspl again and then restore to stock rom and spl.
Guessed for it, but waited for someone to tell me. I will use this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=550131 and you will get new and will write what happened. Thanks!
