Doing a poll to see which ROM is the best chosen for HTC Diamond
There should be more choices!
how many more times will they ask?
whatS best for you by not be best for me....
read the Forum and make your own mind up
OR JUST START FLASHING!
hehe..
If there was a "best" ROM, we will only see one cook here!
Just read through the "menu" and select which ROM U like... No need to have such a thread, methinks
Make you own mind up

Hey Liam,
I quite agree with you... only last week someone posted the same question - I vote for none of the above as there are other ROMS that need to be in the Poll too.
I see "none of the above" is a clear leader.... I must try that ROM ;-)

EnergyROM: Fast sense 2.1/2.5, eye candy, anything else:Choppy
DonSalary Clean ROM: 2.1/2.5 sense, 50-60% use on startup, completely CLEAN.
I just use these 2 because they have Sense and they are smooth, but completely 100% complete ROMs are undoubtedly the fastest and most stable ROMs out there.

Here you find the best Rom
My Reviews
i've been flashing my htc diamond a lot these days with different ROMS...
the best ones?.... it depends on what u need i.e:
-Energy ROM (WM 6.5 with sense 2.1)
Pros: I like this ROM a lot, its fast, its "eye candy" (looks good) and it's really stable, i never had a ROM problem with it.
Cons: It takes a lot of RAM to run it, so youll need a ram cleaner or soft reset if u want to run programs like GPS or even some heavy games... thats really bad for me cause i use GPS a lot... so, discarted
-Gen.Y D2X (WM 6.1 sense 2.5)
Pros: WM 6.1 makes it really lite, u dont need WM 6.5 for anything because the manila is everywhere (data settings, personalization, programs.. everything is covered) it is stable and really fast.
Cons: im maybe too demanding but i want a nice locker for my device ("WM 6.5 slider" or "manila locker") but im starting to think that it is too much to ask in this WM 6.1 ROM because i just havent found a good one (manila locker gets crazy if the device is in landscape mode and WM 6.1 cant handle any of the CHT(Co0kie home tab) locks) Co0kie home tab is a cab that lets you personalize your home tab, it is really cool but when it comes to locking the device it just lacks the possibility.
-Don salari: i used this one like for 3 minutes... it is really lite, it is stable... but that was achieved by taking a lot of things out and that is really annoying for example: youtube quick link is there but u cant use it.. and there are some other things like that...
-Back to basics: same as don salari... it IS BASIC
so.......
here i am, looking for another ROM, next one im going to try is Energy ROM with titanium and im going to install SPB mobile shell 3.5...
Mod. edit: not dev related, moved to general
Bettry Issue
Hey does any one consider about bettry issue ,all roms works Fine but over all if bettry is Down who will use it.
I've tested over 100 ROMs of (WM 6.1 / WM 6.5). Some nice roms but in longer run all are having bugs. Finally i settled with
MEMO Rom
Even though a WM 6.1 ROM - Fast, Stability and Tweaked Memory. I love it. You all should try this one atleast for sometime.

Dia Duit
I'm using this rom ever since I've heard about it (aprox 6 months ago).
I'm not saying it's perfect nor it's the best BUT...
Everytime I try another rom hoping to find a better one, in a matter of one or two weeks, I end up returning to Dia Duit.
BsB651G is one of the best and Phoenix 300 is very good.

Hi guys i was wondering what would the most best stable fastest rom for the CDMA Diamond be. I have tried multiple. The two best i think were MightyRom and EnergyRom(currenty using). I just need ur opinion if you know some other nice ones. I rate roms by aesthetics and looks but obviously also speed and stability. Thanks
MightyRom - http://www.mightyrom.com make sure you goto diamond section
EnergyRom - http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=74084
I like the Pegasus . . .
rom Touchflo 2.1 basic. I tried a few roms including Mightyrom 6 and Energy Rom, but seem to be sticking with Pegasus. It is has more recent versions of WM and Touchflo than Mighty Rom and and at least a more recent WM then Energy. It is stable and everything works. There is also a Pegasus titanium rom with an enhanced version of titanium that is also worth checking out. I checked it out, but Titanium, even nicely tweaked, is not as good as Touchflo, in my opinion at least.
IMHO, I like manila Rom. It is much more easy to use. So the Energy rom is my pref.

Thanks guys. LOL, this thread is a month old. Before I started cooking. I am almost done a really nice Manila Sense 2.5 2012 Rom!
I like the fearless rom
HTC CDMA Diamond with MikROM -WM6.5&6.5.x Sence2.5-build 2012 Light&Standard version
IMHO, I like Sense 2.5 Roms for my HTC CDMA Diamond. I will Highly recommend MikROMs, it has the latest sys and the perfect rom it is always his next ROM (he never stop to cook new ROMs with every fix that appear in the WM6.5 and WM6.5.x sys. Also you can choose between Light or Standard Version. His ROMs are always as stable as what is best in that week, next week you can surprise with a hole new ROM with new fixes that doesn't exit before. So go and get a look at AmiKAM MikROMs LINK HERE.

To see if you have a CDMA device, look underneath the battery. There will be a model number in the form of RHOD100, RHOD210, et cetera. Tell us which one is on your device.
WM6.5.5 development is all but dead. There is some continuing development on 6.5.3, though. My advice would be to just pick a few that you like and flash them until something sticks.
I must admit I am dissapointed from those fantastic cooked ROMs.
I have tested a lots of ROM. Almost all of them look amazing but after short period of time I found important issues. Starting with cool themes - black icons and black wallpaper which could not be reader outside building and ending with super functionality, but very slow system responses.
Finally, I use stock ROM with two HTC fixes - one for SMS stability and second for speakerphone issue (all for S2).
Stock ROM is good. The only issue is speed.
Sorry I did not realize that you were asking about my phone, it is a CDMA.

Here's an entire thread dedicated to CDMA ROMs. XDA is ok, but PPC Geeks does more stuff with CDMA than XDA. XDA generally has more to do with GSM.
[ROMS] Links to all CDMA ROMs, STOCK ROMS, RADIOS
Hello,
I got my first windows mobile device Diamond2 as a gift today and looking for a good OS here.
Can you please suggest one for me?
I will also download some from ROM page and try.
Do not forget to look into the WiKi before asking a question
Taken from the WiKi
Shipped ROMs for Topaz
Cooked ROMs for Topaz
Radio ROMs for Topaz
Success,
Senax
Thanks friend for reply.
I was just reading the WiKi page and seen all those.... but I am confused what ROM I should select SO looking for a generic feedback on what is good what is bad.
Actually I dont want ROM to be loaded with so many app. Looking for similar to what I have in mobile now but updated version...
I hope your device has latest Official ROM installed.
You will get all custom ROMs here which are mainly modify version of the Official ROM and has latest SYS/Builds and new Packages (new applications like adobe reader).
These ROMs are good, but NOT all ROM will satisfy every one. i.e ROM1 may good for person1 and person 4, but person 2 and 3 may like ROM2.
So it is good to test all available food and decide which dish tests you a lot .
Hope this will help.
Thanks.
With all the respect to your very correct and right answer (prabhat), this is in my opinion, very first and tha main problem, why the more and more people will switch to devileshed i-phone. The main difference betwen i-phone and wm 6.5 dev. is the "user-friendly" parameter. In no discuss, the wm 6.5 is more professional with more the features then the i-phone. But the people would like tu use the phone with satisfaction and enjoyness. Maybe the right answer for TD2IN will be something from you honest opinion, what do YOU think, that will be best solution for him/her. The ROM, which is stable, fast, simple, user friendly. The people need some help ... Have a nice day.
Here is my answer

Hey I am also new here but managed to get my ROM here
I tried several available here http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/index.php?title=Cooked_ROMs_for_Topaz but atlast I am using Photon ROM and I am happy.
You may not like the same, but you need to atleast try 3-4 and select one that suite your usage/style etc.
I liked Dutty's ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=579076
And Photon ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=943396
As Dutty is not updating and Photon ha much stable and good so I am using that.
PIng me if you need more help.
Thanks for the reply friend.
I will start my process tonight and let you all know how it goes...
thank you

Did you get your ROM ?
I am still in the process to find my cup of tea...
I started with Dutty's ROM... but this has old version... so started picking others.
Now I have tested below softwares but yet to finilise one:
1) Energy ROM - The Energy Standard one
2) CR192 Mozart OS
3) Photon ROM OS - Stock edition one
I like the stock rom apprach of photon and energy, but energy has lots of application pre installed which I dont want. If I see CR192 that is also very good pick. So I am looking at battery life now and should be finilise in 2 -3 days.
thanks
energy roms and photon roms are great...
Energy ROM FTW
I tried a few ROMs with my Topaz and settled at Energy ROM (with start menu at top).
I used to install a load of stuff with each ROM and this was the most complete ROM with the most flexible Sense UI. The only 2 apps I needed to install on top of Energy is Skype and TomTom Navigator.
I like that it has the manual rotate programmed on holding the Answer button (I used to install a keyboard extender to do it before using Energy ROMs) so it can manually rotate apps not built for auto rotate like Tomtom. More importantly, I can turn off auto rotate on apps coz often I don't want auto rotate like when Im lying on couch/bed reading or using it for music. Fark I hate the UI rotating when I dont want it to! I find auto rotate an annoying gimmick made popular by Apple. Just gimme manual rotate, thx.
I prefer Resco Explorer to Total Commander but I havent bothered to install Resco and live fine with Total Commander that comes with the Energy ROM. I understand that Resco is not freeware so they can't include it.
I like that all the JAVA and DOTNET stuff is all done, has a good wireless hotspot app already, Opera with max tabs set for more than 2 already, TCPMP media player working well, RSS feed app, Twitter, Stocks tab .... I could go on and on. It pretty much has all the good freeware and tweaks and all the hard work already done for you.
I don't use my Topaz daily now, but I still use the same version of Energy ROM on my Blackstone (Touch HD) as my personal mobile phone. I used to also carry the Topaz with a data only SIM in it for internet access, but now I use a Dell Streak (android) to do that. Yeh Im crazy I carry TWO phones everywhere!
IF you wanna get up and going right out of the box, Energy ROM is the most complete and ready for the Topaz.
Instead I Liked Photon ROM and CR192 Mozart and currently running with Photon UX Edition.
I liked Energy, but that is toooooo bulky with so many applications which I dont require and to me looks ugly on my device and I can not remove those. In case of Photon ROM I dont have any extra stuffs so I can Install what I need not what some one gives me to use, whihc I dont require. I understand that there are many who may like what is given on the ROM that they use... but I like to have my stuff in my device.
Photon UX - plus Chinese support + handwriting ftw!
I've tried many ROMs in search of a better replacement for my TD2's sluggish official ROM (SEA version), and I've fallen in love with Photon UX edition and its professional looking background art.
Even better, I have managed to install Xyam's East Asian fonts support, Guobi for pinyin and character inputs, and Samsung's simple + traditional Chinese handwriting input V3.0 (my version comes from sanxingshouxieshurufa_8313 and fits the screen perfectly). Don't bother trying out the menu icon for the Samsung input though, the options don't work, only full screen handwriting is enabled. Otherwise, everything works perfectly as far as I can tell!
Thank you all for this thread which gave me a basic idea of what rom software I should download. I will download Photon ROM now... need to findout which edition I need there
Thank you all.
I have couple of questions in Photon ROM while downloading different edition of it... but this forum prevent me to post in the photon thread. Do I need to contact the owner of photon rom for this?
Thank you all.
