I think Miri's v.36 Standard Edition is a clean WM, without manila.
I don't know something else.
I'am also interested for a clean WM 6.5, so if anyone else knows can inform us.

i'm one for this pool too!!!!
manilla and sense are not friendly of dualsim users....

perhaps this one ... that's my actual rom, don't like manila or sense interface too !

i use kwbr's rhodium without sense. i allways go back after flashing other roms.. ;p

Hi, i'm using a very clean rom in long time, for my experience may be this is the best clean and stable rom.
It's name is : johnpatcher_Geranium_1.0_WWE.

I'm for this thread too searching for 23529 clean rom. Help please tnx

i'm extremely satisfied with the Energy ROM's Titanium version...

I have test to cook with the 23529 and also with the new 23534. Both are not stable. When you want a fast an stable ROM take the 28205 or the 28223or the not so fingerfriendly but fast 21892.
Mark....

im using miris latest rom without manila, for me it runs fast and all the functions work fine - battery seems to last well also. I haven't tried any other roms though so others are probably very good as well, i'll probably wait for wm7 now before I flash again.

How is battery life with Energy's Titanium? I use phoenix with titanium and battery life is way too bad... Tried all power management settings, no difference...
Could you please tell me:
1. Available program RAM available after booting and
2. Battery consumption since full charge (mine goes from 100% to 72% in just 3.5 hours while in standby!!!)

I noticed the high battery consumption on Energy roms too, until I noticed the screen brightness was on full, seems to behave better when put on auto
Hope that helps

The request is a ''6.5.X'' ROM not ''6.5''..

I Think, this is the best (without manilla&Titanium)

I've used that but went back to Miri's v35 ROM... Much better, no bugs and very efficient use of the shortcuts in Microsoft's shell - not apparent in the Energy ROM.
Have yet to be more satisfied with a very functional phone and not missing the tedious Manilla as of yet; although the program shortcuts on the 'Home' screen would be welcomed. Texting is perfect, minus the better looking Manilla version. Aesthetics over usability...
Shame Miri didn't continue this in the v36 build...

And to add this for Miri's v35, as I mentioned before, fresh reboot RAM usage is at 38% with a wallpaper and battery consumption is the best I have used, charging every 2 days. Just over every day if I indulge in WiFi browsing.

I'm definately up for more roms without manila/sense. I think the work that all the cooks do is fantastic but just find manila uses too much system resources, causing problems for certain apps. I know I may be a little strange but I actually really like the windows titanium plugin.
There does only seems to be the energy rom that is 6.5.x, Currently using a Miri v36 rom that is good.

Fastest WM 6.5 out there?

I already tried Dutty 3.3 (wm 6.1) and Miri 10.0. Miri is a really nice rom but i want something new. I already read all the rom threads.
My two questions are:
1). What is the fastest WM 6.1 rom out there?
2). What is the fastest WM 6.5 rom out there?
Thanks in advance,

When you say you want something new... What do you mean by new? What features do you want it to have? Speed? Battery? Features such as Facebook?
For each feature theres usually a downside, like for more speed, less battery.. more programs installed, less battery etc.
I've been using 3 roms specifically which are brilliant... NRGZ latest rom, which is lightning fast 6.1 rom but is on the old SPL 1.14. He is trying to update it but his HD is buggered so we're waiting for that to come live.
Onkologs 6.1 and 6.5 come with two options, lite or superlite. Superlite is obviously the bare minimums with no Manila, so you can install SPB Shell and have the touch interface working well.
Lite has Manila and all the features you'd expect like in a normal stock rom.
Battery is excellent in these roms, I normally get 3 days with moderate use, calls, internet, messaging. Speed is really fast too and if you want to add more on, you just install as you go.
All roms are very reliable though really.
for me features r more important than battery life. I love duttys 3.3 but it eats so much memory that I had to switch to miri's 10 recently. only issue for me is now the alarm.

What features is it that you like particularly?
Onkologs 6.5 Superlite. Very fast, you know its fast when the windows folder opens in around 1second!
Has a very cool all black menu system, which is a smaller size than normal, which is great for fitting all the menu options in one window. And still finger friendly.
The start menu is in four columns, and unlike some other roms is not restricted/locked....So thru activesync you can create new folders and organise the start screen.
With such a bare and fast rom you can install what you want.
Lite has manilla
Superlite has Titanium...which I like way more than the bloated manila

No USPL 2.5?
Ok, i'm convinced. I want to flash Onkologs 6.5 Superlite version to my phone. I usually flashed with USPL 2.5. Onkolog states it's possible to flash with USP 2.5. But, the only file i get from the superlite version is blacimg.nbh. What to do?

Second that, just want this new Manila adding to his rom so I can use some features I've wanted to use for a long time.
I would also recommend onkologs wm 6.5 lite that is if you don't like manila however if you want to have your cake and eat it then it has to be miri's v10 fully loaded yet it's fast and stable been running it for nearly a week no probs! yes there is that alarm bug but that's not rom related it's wm 6.5 issue, workaround use galarm

Most stable 6.5 ROM?

Hi guys,
I am getting an X1 in a few days and would like to know opinions on what the most stable 6.5 ROM out there at the moment is. Also some comments about speed and usability compared to stock would be appreciated!
Hopefully others will find this info useful, too, so please keep it civil.
-Oobly
well i think the most stable would be either one of itje's or agent_47's., the ones with manila 2.1 though because the leo versions are still in beta.
one of the best customised would be NRG's. of course being the flashaholic that i am i switch between all three for every new rom thats posted

Try....V-Lite 4.3 by mobilevu
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=505214
This guy knows his kitchen, ive been using his roms since he started posting his work. I havn't had any problems regarding speed and stability
For me:
NEW V-LITE 4.3 COBALT HARDCORE EDITION FINAL (Stable)
The Energy-ROM with manila 2.1 is very stable and responsive. In my opinion the best, since speed is good for almost every program, many useful tweaks and programs included. I've tried most manila ROMs and found this one the best on all fronts. I must say I haven't tried the V-LITE COBALT yet.
Make sure you don't compare titanium with manila ROMs
And then also make a difference between manila 2.1 and 2.5
V-Lite is a very good non-manila ROM, but stayed on 23004
Valkyrie is state of the art, both with and w/o manila
Energy is eye-candy with some little bumps (video-lag) for Titanium.
Which bumps have you encountered in the Energy ROM if I may ask, haven't found one yet. Even the manila 2.5 is working smooth on most fronts except the SMS app is a little crappy, but I can work with it.
Thanks for the replies guys, keep em coming! The more opinions the better.
I see Agent_47's Valkyrie 2.9 FS has reworked OEM drivers and neo2007 3D drivers. He seems to post fixes pretty quickly in response to bug reports, too.
V-Lite also looks good... apparently stable and very functional while still looking very nice.
So many ROMs, posted so often...
oh boy! I think I am going to become a flashing addict....

Battery friendly ROM 6.1 without manila (prefered) or 6.5

Hi, Please recommend me battery friendly ROMs. I prefer 6.1 without manila. I am using SPB Mobile Shell 3.5 which interface I think is great. So I have no need to go for manila or 6.5. However with manila or 6.5 ROMs are also ok if they are more power consumption economical.
Presently, I am using UK stock ROM v 1.05.931.10 with radio v 1.14.25.55 (the ROM was downloaded from this website ). I use wifi a lot so normally my battery can last only more than 1 day a bit.
I have read a number of threads in this forum. Many posts recommended Touch X 10.1 or 10.8 (which is with manila) or 6.5 UnOff ROMs. Regarding battery life, how are they in comparision to stock ROM?
Thanks.
+1.xperia i also want a stable and clean rom =)
Hi,
Concerning battery drain it depends on installed software (eq: G-alarm, etc) and also radio rom version. It's different for everyone.
Previously I was using radio rom version 1.14.25.25 battery drain occurs. then I change it to 1.10.25.18 and my battery last more than 2 days in normal usage.
BTW, I am using NRG photon rom now.
Cheers
I've been playing around with different ROM's and I'm currently using Touch X 10.8 Legendary (i think). It's wonderful. Manila is very fast and isn't laggy or buggy. I had it off the charger since about 12:00, did a bit of texting, made a few calls, ran G-Alarm and did a soft-reset or two and it was at 71% last time I checked. In any case, I keep my phone screen brightness at 50% and I set the phone to turn off after 30 seconds of no use.
There's probably a way to disable M2D, but it's so attractive I couldn't ever do that
hey mate use unoff v11.. just awesome its original xperia rom with win mobile 6.5 ova the top very clean no manila and batt life is just fantansitc i left ma fone on for 2 days straight reaching 30% before charging
Try WildChilds Pure ROM series.
You will find them :http://wcxxperia-nce.com/
I'm using version 22001 (WM6.5)for a month and I'm very impressed with battery life, overall performance and memory usage. It's a clean, pure rom so feel free to install for example SPB MS3 or something.
if i dont remember wrong i had my touch X 6.1 without manila running for a week, cant remember though if it was 6.1 or 6.1b or 6.1c, but i think it was the 6.1 , read the comment's and youll see, i edited the whole battery dll and components on this rom, so it was coocked with stability and battery as main prio... and im not fooling you, i had the device on for a whole week, when disabling the manila!
6.1 http://rapidshare.com/files/226710399/Touch_X_6_1.zip
6.1b http://rapidshare.com/files/231898733/Touch_X_612b.zip
6.1c http://rapidshare.com/files/232691630/Touch_X_612C_TOPAZ.zip
i want it too, i'll try wildchild rom now
Thanks buddies.
@ smaberg: Thanks for the links. Will definitely try your touch X 6.1 versions.
Is there posibility to disable manila option in touch X 10 versions and other manila ROMs?
SPB MS35 drains battery on UnOff V11 ROM plus like hell and on has some drawing problems with soft buttons names.
So I removed MS35 and now looking for the more power efficient alternative. Original Today screen with minimal changes is the best option so far while Titanium is not user friendly.
I am thinking of testing Manila 2.1 now...

In fact this specific 6.1 (Evilash) is very finger frendly.
I believe a Manila version without many programs should do the job (another player installed will be great, I never used the manila one, because I find it laggy).
I don't think that she will install apps on it. The dialer, MMS , Email and SMS menus should be finger friendly. Manila has shortcuts for programs so I don't think she will ever enter in the Start-Menu.
A WM 6.1 ROM should be faster in Manila.
Cheers!

WM6.1 is make to use in stylus and little finger (Evilash rom is better) but 6.5.x is finger friendly and all setting and program is very easy use in finger.
I think the basic, non-Manilla, WM 6.5 Titanium roms would be good for her. Very simple and easy to read interface/today page. Simple scrolling up and down of the page itself, or the scrollbar. There are many of these out here...check 'em out
i'm currently using Jack'sROM v5.2b basic ( NO MANILA)
blazing fast, super smooth & very stable.
with a few customization for the looks, it's all good.
see my post for screenies>> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=6114197&postcount=88
i would highly recommend this ROM for those who simply wants titanium
I would recommend you to try the latest of the WildChild's Rhodium based ROMs. It sports latest Manila 2.5, moves very fast and very stable. Finger friendly as manila interface is tend to be. Perfect ROM for a person that's not tech savvy but still wants to have goodies like weather, twitter, good messaging client, etc,etc out of the box and a phone that doesn't freeze
xperias are quite user-friendly enough.. And it's better in X2..
So I suggest you should try out X2 rom by jerpelea.. I'm using it and I'm satisfied with it.. It's battery life is just okay for me.. 2-3 days.. It's fast, easy to use and looks more "Xperia"

Don't try jerpelea's X2 Roms.
Don't get me wrong, i use it myself, but for someone non-tech, you don't want a rom that has a standby of death sometimes when charging, and that ruins your whole battery..
I had it myself, phone was charging, it hung for about 4 hours when i was sleeping, i wake up. I'm like wtf whats your problem phone. battery was totally dead, i decharged it and charged it again, batery life was about 3 hours every charge since it hung during charging.
If i were you i'd put a simple Manilla 2.1 rom on it, basic windows mobile 6.1 is everything exept user friendly.
I think your best off with Jerpelea's "First Rom" it isn't his first, it's one of the best manilla roms i know.
good luck

NRG needs to be customized to work faster. I find it very fast. But I don't use all of the tabs, and I overclock my CPU to 710.

About tabs, you can disable some, just swipe to settings tab on HTC Sense, choose "personalize" then "Home screen tabs", uncheck tabs you want to remove.

Where to start? The following is a subset of my phone settings. I've been tweaking them for months, and I would be hard pressed to provide a full list.
The OC app is at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=698374
As to customizing, the setting tab will allow you to remove the tabs you don't use. I found that I actually only use 4 of them. The rest just take up memory.
I also use BsB Tweaks (in the Tools folder) to set a high glyph and IP cache.
The other thing to do is to go into the Settings and change the start menu to be the Sense version. This will give you and extra 30 Mb or so of memory, and this will make the device faster. Do this step last, because it will be difficult to get to the NRG Tools menu unless you revert back to the default WM start menus.
EDIT: But you should be aware that NRG is not customized for speed. There are faster ROMs available. But NRG has lots of nice stuff, and the latest operating systems and programs.

jackos rom without a doubt. --->http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=632617
Keep in mind that it usually takes some time for a newly flashed ROM to "settle in". The performance you see right away is not indicitive of how the ROM will perform long term. Maybe files are still being setup? Not really sure why this is so. But don't freak out until you've used the ROM for a couple hours. Plus the battery meter will not be accurate. It needs to be calibrated by charging the phone to 100%, then down to 30%, and repeat a couple times.
If you've been using the ROM for a while, and done a few of the tweaks to streamline performance as other have suggested, its possible it was a bad flash. Task29 and start over.
But its also possible that a more lightweight ROM is for you. Energy is a nice balance of performance, aesthetics, and features. But some like to sacrifice some eye candy for a more lightweight ROM, like Jackos that someone else suggested.
I've used the EnergyROMs on my TP2, as well as Simplicity and Jackos, all are great roms. EnergyROMs have many cooked in useful apps and awesome features, Simplicity is lighter and well.. simpler than Energy and Jackos has amazing memory management and the best ROM if you're going for WM6.5.0.
I am a sucker for speed, and the fastest you can go is stock WM6.5 with no HTC Sense. I'm currently using Jackos SleekBasic with TouchFlo3D, just flashed yesterday, IMO its faster than all ROMs I tried except stock WM, its not really pretty and not many features, but I can live with it. Good batt life too...
OndraSter's WM 6.5 TF3D ROM is the fastest ROM I have ever used. Check it out http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=642956&highlight=OndraSter
Jacko's is by far the cleanist Ive seen its actually functional and has 110mb free after 2nd reboot... Great rom's.. Not a nrg fan anymore either.. especially cause he doesnt bother to actually test them on the devices he makes them for.
I used a lot of ROMs from this forum, and I can confirm that the Jackos is the fastest and stablest that I tried (I'm actually using the smartmove flavour).
Ondraster's also is quite fast and stable, but I find that jackos looks better
