Are there any ROM Creators/Cooks that focus on Professional IT Admin centric ROMs?
I am seeing a lot of great ROMs. I am just looking for something specific and there are just SOOO many ROMs.
Any pointers would be welcomed.
Professional IT Admin centric ROMs?like what?
Like added putty, keeped Remote Desktop and this stuff?
I originally started this for Kaiser but then lost it (deleted by accident) so I stopped working on it. But I might revive this for Rhodium .

I'm currently using c shekars 7c ROM. I was wondering how he does the external ROM automatic installation (which is copied to the storage card)when you first start up the xda2. Can someone create a bare WM6 with an external ROM like shekars so basically it's pretty much a kitchen? being not too savvy when it comes to programming, this is really the only way for us noobies to be able to sort of cook our own ROMS. Perhaps providing the wonderful cab files as well on 1 thread like Vdialler which is a great app, a selection of htc home with 3,4,5,6 tabs as the actual configuration cab file doesn't seem to work, a multiple comm manager with 6,8, and 10 buttons and other hard to find essential apps. I'm currently trying to build a black vista looking theme. I'll attached a copy of my theme for you guys to have a look at. so... i''m calling on the help of the seniors, especially shekar, ather90 and utak3r. please please please.
Hey man..thank a lot for the comment...Just tell me the files u want and i will build an EXT for it..even if there are REG hacks or changes like timezone , etc...
I'm with christian... a blank rom to go with the ext rom would be awesome... I love the roms you seniors have made... and have had the most fun time noobing my way thru.... thanks to all the xda team but especially shekar, ather90 and utak3r for many hours of frustration and enjoyment
there is ROM kitchen with WM6. Utak3r have newer, but unfinished version. I would try to finish and publish it
fisrst of all Welcome to Xda-dev's Gelf.....Hope u enjoy ur stay around her..
Well then i will start uploading a Clean ROM with Not TOO many apps ( file explorer and common apps cant be removed)...i have a clean rom for AKU 1.0.0 and 0.7.0
@christian....I like ur theme but the wallpaper is not regarding "VISTA"..
i am posting mine
quick reply
how about a clean rom with non essentials taken out. or maybe one with a preconfigured touchflo and cube as that requires quite a few things( which means adobe flash lite is installed). tcpmp player with all the plugins instead of mediaplayer. resco explorer rather than the dull file explorer. fast cleanup or stktools for maintenance. mms and patch and bt app for connectivity. and of course the network wizard for gprs/3g. maybe that seems like a great starting point.anything else could be added on the external rom.
again my thanks and reards to all senior members for putting up with us noobies especially ather who seems to be everywhere answering everyone's questions and requests.

I recently purchased the HP IPAQ 211.
I know I have seen both Iphone and Touchflo based skins / mods on the internet, youtube, etc.
Where should I be going to research more about this process?
I have uploaded a program called Wisbar Advance and Wisbar desktop which alot of them apparently use, however would someone point me in the right direction to accomplish the task of getting a decent Iphone theme and also Touchflo interface if possible?
Also, anyone have a decent list of APPS for it?
My primary use will be photos of my kids, some music / movies, and basic business apps but nothing more than keeping business contacts probably.
Any help appreciated.
I apologize in advance for the newb question but alot of people mention XDA as the place for PDA mods, but my PDA isnt' listed in the phone list so I don't know if there is a site more directed towards my usage.
Again any help appreciated.

Unfortunately this forum is for HTC manufactured phones and yours is an HP. So there is no page for your phone. You can try some of the generic WM 6 apps here and see if they work on your phone.
Hrmph
I appreciate the heads up.
Would you or anyone know just a WM6 PDA type site similar to this one then?
I will toy around with the apps I find then.
And thank you for the help.
Google is a wonderful thing.....

heh
I had already looked into some of that.
Between Ifonz, Lazyboys Iphone, and half a dozen other rip offs of the iphone skin, I was hoping for more input on what works vs what doesn't before I clog up my device with 10 different skins trying to accomplish the same thing.
I am more interested in the touchflo (probably why I am here) that I have seen on youtube especially because I like the cube effects much more than the simple iphone icons.
Sorry to keep pestering, just wanted anyones experience with some of the apps, not to have people just tell me to research it myself.
If no such person has any other device or has never used anything other than a stock HTC, then so be it.
what is the difference or advantage of changing the rom. we can already change stuff via reg hacks or cab files for icons etc etc ,so as some who new to WM who has never done this ,what are the main adavantages and how do.you flas the rom and what is hardspl
thanks for any help

All your questions have been answered many times.
Please search the forum before posting questions.
The primary benefit is getting updated builds (versions) of Windows Mobile which fix things or speed up stuff. Or get WM6.5 for example.
Then you have the enhanced ability to add/remove things from the ROM, speeding it up or adding more functionality. Say for example if SenseUI ever gets ported to the TP2, it would be significantly more advantageous to cook it into a ROM rather than uninstalling TF3D2 and then installing SenseUI. It meshes things together better.
As for the other things. There are hundreds of threads and the wiki to explain.

Hello guys!
Until recently I really didn't like the "finger friendly" new design of these branches of 6.5, but apparently it's maturing really fast... some of the newer ROMs seem pretty nice actually. But, there seems to be one major downside:
I've tried quite a few ROMs, but obviously both Showcase and ManilaPositionFix (which are required for Sense to be displayed correctly under the new layout) interfere with ActiveSync and/or the HTCUsbttoPCPopup. Without a working ActiveSync, I (and, I'd imagine, a few others as well) cannot really use their Blackstone.
Now, the obvious question is: Is there any solution for this problem? Maybe something was found and got lost again in one of the individual ROM threads.
Greets,
Semicuda

Please don't take this the wrong way, but: both the procedures mentioned are no solutions. I do need the popup, diving all the way into settings when I need to switch from and to drive mode is not an option. Doing a soft reset everytime I want to sync isn't one either.
Hi,
i' am browsing this forum section for three days, trying many ROM's ...
but i can't find any realy lite ROM without external application like facebook, old opera, total commander, ...
I prefer install programs what i like, not what cooker made in.
I find some promising ROM, but many of these are too old or download doesnt work (like esperOS 6.5 28008)
Can you help me with choice? What you are prefer, personal experience, without ugly bugs ... prepared for my customization like SPB Mobile Shell
Now i have TPC_V11_CHUMP STYLE WWE but it make me sick and anger due many problems with. It isnt bad ROM, nice design, fine optimalization, but in my hands is very unstable ;-) And i don't like preinstallated application which are now old and many of these i never used :-/
Thanks much
There are many here, just need to search a little.
On that note, thread closed.
