was running a custom theme but decided to go back to stock cm rom.
Did a wipe and flashed rom and went to console and did a fix_permissions and rebooted.
Now I've lost the alarm clock app and cannot find it anymore. How can I regain it back?
Thanks

maybe open up the .zip file of this rom or another and drag and drop the alarm clock apk from it to the phone. Then install it using astro.
SuperD's uses the new clock app. All-in-one alarm, music, deskclock, gallery type thing.

Ok i figure ill throw this out there maybe some has a fix..
I was on 4.2.8 and everything was 200% when 4.2.8.1 was released i used CM Updater(latest) to update and i come to find that the gmail icon was gone fully gone wiped out.. i flip up the tray and it was gone from there too...so i did a wipe the flash 1.6adp then flashed cyanmod 4.2.8.1 and same issue the gmail icon was gone..
so i did a full wipe of everything from a-z(sarcasm) but did wipe every thing that could be wipe then re flash 1.6 then cyanmod over agian still the same issue.. so i unrooted and gmail app was back so then i rooted and update using recovery 1.4 cyan and gmail was there but i get acor forclose and blah blah...
so i wiped and did it again and still same issue so i used amon ra 1.5.2 recovery image wiped a-z again then flash 1.6 and cyan 4.2.8.1 and gmail was gone once again so i left it as is
and did partations sd
from there acore for close stop and was able to use market agian
then i downloaded astro manager and went thru the 1.6adp ota and i found gmail and installed! success it worked(odd) i install gmail app from astro file manager today
backdraw of this is thatgs this is install on my sd with partation so when i go to applications i have the option to uninstall gmail(shouldnt be a option)
so my question is.. anyone have a good idea whats happening or a fix to reflash with gmail there with out installing it to sd card..
or a way to push the gmail app to the phone from the sdcard..?
i kno that was long to read.. but just wanted to get all the steps i did so question or response will come say wipe and reflash when that proccess was done about 12 times(started at 8am and didnt finish{gave up} around 10)
Found out it is my sd card its partation.. and each time i update it misses up the update.. i used a clean new sdcard (1g) and wiped 2x and then flash the 1.6adp then the new cMod and i got my gmail icon back(original) so this can be closed now.. thanks

Completely dead or in a boot loop? Did you flash over an unmodified Cog 4.3?
it booted up, with no service after placing sim back in, then proceeded to buzz constantly (repeating patterns) and wouldn't allow me to go into any apps for 10-15 min (still no service after all this wait).
completely stock cog 4.3 (no themes or anything). finally backed everything up with tib and reflashed with cog 4.3.1.

my bad
any solution to call recording in cog 4.3?
I don't think it'll work on cog, that rom is based in 2.2 kb1, call recording is a feature if 2.2.1 the only 2.2 rom it works on that I know of is firefly and it took the dev a while to get that working correctly.
ah thats where u messed up.. learning is fun!
we all do it!
Hey, I've encountered a very strange problem.. I have beautiful widgets and a battery widget on my "desktop". Recently they stop working from time to time (the clock isn't showing the right time, nor the battery).
The only solution is to delete them, and put them back, or rebooting the phone.
This is really annoying. How can I solve it?
Thanks
what rom / kernel / other things have you done to your phone?
Using phoenix, speed mod k13d, launcher pro.
the problem started few days ago, and I've been using this rom and other stuff like a month..
Oh and by the way I'm not using any task killer. Thanks

well something got messed up or uninstalled that shouldnt have,
it happens. this can be a good thing. a nice re-fresh can do wonders
1. titanium backup > batch > all user apps. (+ their data)
2. titanium backup > list > manually do the green system settings
3. reboot into recovery
4. flash phoenix, kernel, theme, dialer, reboot
5. titanium backup > batch > restore user data and system settings.
WINNING.
no need to flash to stock, phoenix rom will wipe on install.
Thanks for the answer!
1. I didn't understand step 2. What did you mean?
3. In step 4 shouldn't I flash just the rom? the kernel and the other stuff are coming with it. Can I flash the JS8 rom? (I have JS7 right now).
4. What will be deleted after the flash? SMS too?
Thanks!

You can flash JS8, yes. (full rom)
Step 2 isn't needed.
and all your sms, wifi setup and email/accounts setup will reset.
Step 2, the button in the top middle if tibu, backup/restore go through those and backup the GREEN system settings, this will save your sms, and wifi.
Step 4, those are options, he was just giving you general instructions, so it's the same process for a whole rom OR a kernel OR a theme, whatever you happen to be flashing.
For step 5 reboot after restore.
Thank you for the explenation, I will backup and flash and will return you with results.
Worked. Thanks!
Hi guys, I'm using Stock ROM flashed using Odin with version N7000XXLSZ. When I tried to go to Settings > Display > Notification Panel, it just freeze just like something need to FC and restarted by itself. I just update the kernel with PhilZ-cwm6-XXLSZ-OXA-4.90.8-signed.zip.
Before and after the kernel update also didn't work. So, Notification Panel setting was never worked with me.
Any experience?
you could reinstall the rom again after a full wipe.. or try doing a data wipe in CWM

simply flash the rom again. download it from sammobile.com and be on stock kernel. you can root it again by just flashing the attached file and get cwm recovery by using rom manager from play store.
