Hero/Sense roms? What's the difference?

What's the difference between sense roms and hero roms? Are the sense roms made for the myTouch? I'm trying to figure out what the difference is so I can get the best rom for my phone. Current have a mytouch 32b, so I'm assuming a Sense rom would suit me best?

Sense ROM is pretty much any ROM that contains the Sense UI from HTC. They've released one with all their new phones I believe. Hero ROMs are ROMs that use the Sense UI from the Hero phone specifically. They're just different builds of the same thing really. You need to read around to find which is best. But I would put my money on Sense Hero 1.2.

i was goi to say what h.nocturna said but he beat me to it
just want to say some advice...sense roms are pretty much new..i believe they will run better with hero as long as someone is willing to actually stop working on their hero roms and move onto optimizing sense roms
drizzy alrdy said that sense roms have potential to be better and faster,but currently they are not being worked on that much.

hmph, shameless..Hero should be the quickest with a name like that you would think so

Android 2.1 Sense

When can we expect a Android 2.1 Sense Rom, I'm talking HTC Desire.

I'm guessing soon after someone gets a good leak.
Dunno the ETA on that, but shouldn't be too long now..
And hey, don't forget about King's Eclair Hero
It's cobbled together from a bunch of rough dumps so sure it has its problems
But that given it's pretty damn slick and will at least give you a good taste
Only really has a few minor issues.

Why?

I don't understand why many Developers work on the 2.1 roms when the g1 is no match to the processes of those phones who actually run on them? I know they want the biggest and baddest thing out their on their g1 but it doesn't even have a match towards the droid or the legend. Why don't devs perfect something that is closer to the Ram and rom of the g1? Hero isnt that far off but it seems that it lost interest when these slower and unstable roms came out.
*I'm not trying to start a flame war but I just don't understand the concept of the reason behind. Nor Am I a dev to talk about what they can/can't do in their own free times. I love all of the work that the DEVs have done towards the community so don't take that against me*

It's the demand and it has been like this since Cupcake.
When we all had RC33 we all were dying for Cupcake.
Haykuro came around with an HTC version of it and people loved it!
Then it got old when Donut started to come around and devs were working on that.
Now we have Donut and Eclair is just around the corner. Guess what? Same thing.
There are dozens of Donut roms out there. Why would we want another? The most popular ones would be Cyanogen and SuperD.
Sure there are several Eclair roms but hardly any of them is as stable as our Donut roms. That's why.
This donut is getting stale and moldy, we're baking a batch of eclairs and your wondering why our mouths are watering?

motorola i1 rom??

i was wondering if anyone is going to try and port the ROM from the new Motorola i1 phone its running 1.5 and motoblur im not sure if motoblur would work with our vogues but i think it would be really cool if it did!!
the screen is a 320x240 if that helps at all

forever ago (before we had the android forum) i think it was zenulator did a port of motoblur to the vogue so it could def work. but i used it for a little while and it was very laggy
i think the odds of a port are low at this very moment, esp with froyo just announced and all of the 2.1 builds out or in the works the fact that its a cupcake build just seems counter productive.
i know Incubus26jc is messing around with sense tattoo which is a 1.5 but as far as i know the build was already made he was just optimizing it before his vogue bricked

I'm running the sense its 1.6 BTW its great I just think motoblur is soo cool it would be nice to have and I can't wait for froyo hope it runs well

Could our Heroe's hardware handle it?
Would it be easier to build the 2.2 and 2.3 and beyond with our Heroes with this opposed to the current Sense UI we have?
If it is possible to run on our Heroes, has any devs talked about developing roms with it to anyone's knowledge?

Sense 2.0 is what the Desire Z and Desire HD shipped with.
