Hey guys, I know that I don't post a lot but I couldn't help but notice that no one has put up and overclock program for the kaiser. The Kaiser after installing the overclock program, everything ran smoother!!!!!
Instructions:
1. Run Dynamic Clock.cab and install to Device
2. GO to Start > Dynamic Clock
3. tap the screen to install Dynamic Clock
4. after you restart, Go to Settings>System
5.There should now be a new option "Processor"
6.first time running, there will be a warning message, tap yes
7. Feel free to change the options around
8. Try running programs and stuff after changing the settings, you should be able to notice the speed difference!
I use Max performance on both battery and external power and the MHz is on 384 MHZ and auto power. after system idle and all the stuff after, its 192.00MHz

well done mate good post! thanks
Hmm, I downloaded the cab per instructions, found the icon, and tried to install. It just keeps freezing with an error message saying my device is blocking installation, do you want to reset? I select yes and it freezes up. I have to remove the battery.
try installing the attached .cab file on this thread

Probably due to security provisions of stock ROM not allowing install.
is there a way to bypass this?
If it's running a driver in there normally not, if just a signing issue that's causing the problem sdkcerts can help.
Have never run a stock ROM for longer than a day so not 100% sure on stock just know due to releasing drivers and not being installed along with edited resources.
thanks a lot man...sdkcerts did the job...the program installed correctly...just rebooted after the install...i will post if it works ok!thanks again!
the program starts fine...then a big amount of errors pop up...one of them :"a problem has occured with services.exe" send, don't send buttons available...i will flash a new rom today and try it...can you point me to the fastes rom around?i want something visually good but fast...
Thank you! This great, but about a week ago i googled overclocking the kaiser, and all i could get was a handful of sites saying that the kaiser could not be over clocked.

I am aware of the Oxios Memory Program and the use off Task Manager to save memory but I have some questions.
1. Is there a way to really shutdown a program after Using it, without going to Task Manager or something like that? I tried the HangUp Button, Home Button, Go Back button etc but it's not really shutting down the program, and only a few program's has an Exit item build in the menu.
2. Is it possible to get a list of current running applications (like PPC phones have in the top right) or an other way to navigate trough currently running applications. Sometimes I'm using mail, a Game and Media Player together and then the only way to navigate between them is by using the home button and then go back trough the list of apps, though this is very limited.
To my knowledge there is nothing like this. A solution would be to remap a hardware button state to the task manager to more easily launch.
Yeah I've modified my homescreen with a small Launcher (just the Standard last opened Apps Launcher, nothing special though). This quickens everything a lot, but as you other users know is still not optimal.
Thanks for your thoughts Anyway.
I'd recommend you Smarttoolkit (free download here). It combines hibernation (like oxios) and superb task manager (and other features). I use version RC08, because RC09 doesn't always work properly for me...
First I thought STK was some sort of Tweak Utility, but I recently saw some screenshots of a flasy program and download -> installed that and I loved it, it only had some hang up issues but after downgrading to RC08 this was reduced to almost nothing.
Later on I noticed the program I was using now is the programm you recommended me, thanks after all.

Another great program to run alongside STK is AppCloser http://wwwu.edu.uni-klu.ac.at/apitman/appcloser/index.php
Very easy to set up and you can add the apps you want to automatically close when you press home into a text pad.
Hope this helps.
I run on s620 but works on all Windows smartphones, just looking at the s730 thread due to thinking about getting one.
Hi guys. Just wanted to plug my app here. It's based on the work that has been happening in the "auto task killer" thread.
In a nutshell this app lets you configure Android's internal memory manager to help define when to shut down different types of apps.
Features:
- Presets and custom settings
- Works with Android 1.5+
- Sliders for easy setting of the apps.
If you have any questions just pop me and email or hit me up on twitter. This is very much a work in progress so I'll be updating it fairly often. So give it a try (QR code below) and I hope you find it useful.
Requires root access
Another good reason to root my Hero. I'd probably do that before upgrading to 2.1.

Sorry. forgot to mention that it requires root. If you are rooting then I would recommend flashing a 2.1 ROM since that's faster than the 1.5 ROMs. There are caveats of course since not everything is working perfectly on the 2.1 ROMs but it's working good enough for me. Call me shallow but I LOVE live wallpaper.
Could you perhaps give more information? I have set it to mainly 120MB (to test) and nothing is happening. Does it happen every x mins or something?

This works differently than a task killer. What you are doing is setting thresholds for each application type. So if you set the threshold for Empty Apps to be 120MB then Android will kill these apps when there is only 120MB left. This would be most of the time.
However these thresholds are soft settings. So if Android needs to start an app/service or the user manually initiates an app/service then these will still start as normal.
This is my understanding of how it works. (I am not an expert regarding this.) However I have noticed that Android is still starting up certain apps that seem to be useless and I haven't used either e.g. Amazon MP3. This could be something to do with the out-of-memory priority of the app. (will need to investigate this)
For me at least, I have found that using a task killer to kill all apps after you apply your settings works the best. But the app should keep things much tidier in terms of memory usage.
As mentioned above these are soft settings and I have tried setting all bars to 120MB and everything still works fine. You may or may not get the same experience but these are soft settings so the worst that could happen is that you have to reboot your phone and revert to the default setting.
In the next update the settings will be saved after reboot but you will still able to go into the app to change the setting anyway.
I hope I answered your question.
Whenever I open a page in internet browser and chat in IM app simultaneously I always either loose IM or the web. Sometimes this doenot happen but most of the time I'm suffering from this problem. I think most of the users of X8 have this problem whole lot of time. Don't we have any solution ?
And I have tried every kind of mods, all custom ROMs, all custom kernels. I have tried all of the available governors, CPU frequency setting, Compcache, JIT, VM heap, most of the availabe Modules and most of the RAM management applications too. Whenever I try these mods for the first time it shows good sign for one or two days then Gradually RAM decreases. And makes my phone laggy. After restart it again shows very good response again soon the problem happens.
As I'm newbie out here please suggest me with the best of the solution for my problem.

1st up do you have a TON of apps running and installed
2nd do you have ALOT of sms\text messages
3rd try these settings on any kernel + CM based Rom cpu @600 and max (whatever your phone can go recommend 748) with smartassv2 governor set compcache to 26% (little OTT but you can try it at 18%) enable JIT disable surface dithering and 16bit transparency make sure Allow purging of assets is disabled and set your VM heap size to 48m if you dont care alot for battery
4th make sure you got NO TASK MANAGER installed
let me know how this works out for you
use superuser, uninstall system apps that.you don't use.....use root explorer to delete apps in system/app
delete the synchronizing apps if you don't em ..
.
Hello!
Recently I am having a problem, which started with only the calls being "lagging" - meaning, that I press the green button to dial (or swipe the finger left to right) and the phone would wait anywhere between 3-10 seconds before it starts to actually dial the number.
Later, the problem worsened - now sometimes it would take even 30 seconds, and in addition - when exiting applications (even light such as EZ PDF reader), I would stare at an empty desktop for around 10-20 seconds, BEFORE the icons start loading
This is not funny anymore.
Any suggestions as to how to go about diagnosing the cause?
You could try using an app like Watchdog to monitor which apps you have installed that are using too much CPU, Then uninstall / disable it
Or you could try a full wipe from recovery (Need a safe kernel) and see how things go that way, If you have a lot of added mods & tweaks installed they can eventually start to conflict with each other, So thats also something to look into

Can you please link to the app you are talking about? Market has a lot of apps called Watchdog.
And waht do you mean do a full wipe needing a safe kernel?
As I said, I am still on the stock GB 2.3.6 ROM - if I am to do a full wipe, might as well stop waiting for Samsung update for my ROM and just install one myself, no?
My point is - how to debug and resolve this problem without resorting to "warranty voiding" actions? There has to be a way, no?
I have a Win10 i3 laptop with 8gb ram. I enabled virtualization in the bios. I installed the Intel HAXM. It asked me to disable Hyper V Manager so I did that too. When I start the player it just sits at the black screen with the "Patience is bitter" forever. I've let it sit for 30 minutes and nothing happens. I tried running as Adminstartor and same thing. It does show other messages before it gets stuck (not errors, just quotes and things).
How do I troubleshoot this?
me too
pls help
I've also run into this.
It happens when the it fails to mount userdata-qemu.img under avd/Remix_OS.
Please re-decompress the zip file and try again. If it still not work, try to create a new userdata-qemu.img with mke2fs.

That worked....the first time I ran it.
When I tried to install apps they showed as downloading and never finished.
When I restarted, same thing stuck at the "Patience" screen. Seems like you need a lot of patience to use this product.
Ran mine twice successfully, installed a few apps and games and the third time I ran it, it hangs on "I wish I was as thin as my patience." Ran it over again, the same. Restarted PC, the same. Will probably have to wait for future more stable updates but now, it just doesn't seem to be reliable. I'd most likely have to delete old data again and recreate it possibly over and over again.
We do have a new build out (http://www.jide.com/remixos-player#download) that fixes a lot of the loading issues, as well as Play Store app installation issues. Download this new version, try it and let me know if it solved your issue in this thread. Thanks!

It is still stuck on the screen for me.
I've had better luck with the new version.
Some apps took forever to update/install.
The cursor control is annoying. It stays in the player unless you press CTRL-ALT. Wish I could change that.
The problems remains...
Any Help is Appreciated
Ive Also Run Into This Problem, Any Help Would Be Highly Appreciated.

I've Tried Launching at differrent resolutions and differrent ram levels (including at 3GB Ram),However I always get smoothly to the loading screen "Patience is bitter. But its Fruit Is Sweet.Almost There!" But even after 1hr it is still stuck in that same loading screen. I then use the Side Panel Controls To Close The Program.

If you don't care about the data saved in the Remix OS Player, you could delete the data image and try again. The user data image locates at remixemu\avd\Remix_OS.avd\userdata-qemu.img
