Not all the time, just occasionally. I will go to make a call and the screen says that it is dialing, then connected but there is no sound from the speaker.
It also happens occasionally with incoming calls, I see an incoming call and answer it and it says connected but no sound. A soft reset always fixes the problem.
I might have to reset once a day to fix this, but when I went to a nearby city I had to reset at least 6 times during the day.
I have searched the forum but have not been able to find another problem quite like it. Have I missed it?
Cheers,
Fred Wade

Hi,
I have a CDMA Touch from Telus Mobility in Canada.
The issue I am having is # rings with incoming calls.
I am using latest Jawbone Bluetooth headset, when I have an incoming call, I receive 2 rings and calls goes to voice mail.
I have called HTC Support and Telus support, they have no solution.
Is there a setting to modify the number of rings for incoming calls?

If you're talking about the number of rings before the voicemail kicks in, yes there is a solution if your phone number is in Alberta or BC.
I dont know what Alberta or BC is...
but on my phone i do it like this...
Start->Settings->click phone->'Services(dono if it's called this, second tab)
There is a list, in that list there should be (again, dono the english word) 'forward to'
click Get Settings...
now u can set the number of secunds before it connects the call to voicemail..
with the intervals 5,10,15,20,25,30 seconds (at least with my phone provider)
hope this helps
thanks nisse thats very helpfull.
by the way forward to is call forwarding.
Excellent!!

3 rings delay in incoming call
Hi,
This might be due to another related issue:
There is delay of 3 rings before the diamond actually starts ringing.
i.e, after the caller has heard 3 rings, only then the diamond starts ringing, and by the time you pick the call, there will be many rings and it will go to answer phone as usual.
As soon as there is an incoming call, the light starts blinking. But there is a delay in the ringer/vibrate. You can try this out by calling from another phone.
This might be cause for your issue.
I too am having the same problem, and I'm searching for a solution. Maybe some cab which fixes the 3 rings dealy in incoming call... I'm sure there must be some such cab. Still going through the threads in the forum.
Could anybody please point us to a fix if you know...
Thks,
Sandeep
I've got the same problem on my touch pro..
It's even worse actually - I'm experimenting, but it seems like half the time the phone *never rings* when wifi is on and if it's asleep...
What the???

I think that he's referring to the 3 second delay built into most phones. On earlier devices this was fixed by changing the polling time in the phone programming. (often referred to as the Slot Cycle Index). I haven't tried it on my Diamond as I haven't noticed that much of a lag.
Since I was thinking about it, I decided to try. I changed my SCI from 2 to 0.
I did look and found that I don't have that "Forward to" option in my phone settings. Probably a provider change.
Got a Used tilt a few days back, came w/ Windows 6.0 ,
called @tt & got unlock code & Currently using it on T mobile.
Did Clear Storage &
Updated it w/ HTC's "ATT TILT Rom Update" (rel. on 8/6/08)
& then UPdated it again w/ "Windows Mob. 6.1 Update for the ATT TILT
Current
Rom Version = 3.57.502.2 WWE
Radio Version = 1.65.21.18
ISSUE -
NEARLY ALL CALLS are forwarded to Voicemail when I try to Answer them. --> {While I hit Answer key , when ringing, Phone goes to Today Screen & Tells me its a Missed Call (it automatically rejects it) }
I also have BAD connection issues ASWELL ,[ I HEAR] heavy Disturbance / Static on some of my Calls , while the other person hears me Perfectly!
<btw All these problems happen while I have Full Bars>
Can this be resolved w/ Radio update / another Custom Rom update?
Please let me Know how to resolve Issue &/or Direct to appropriate thread...
Thnx
Any Suggestions?!

The Problem:
Since the first time I flashed a custom rom (approx. 2 yrs ago) I cannot use call waiting on my phone. When I am on one call and someone else calls, I get the call waiting beep. If I press answer, it quits beeping but does not switch to the second call. From here all I can do is end the call with the current person and then it switches to the second call
I have flashed >10 different roms so I'm sure it isn't a problem with any of them
I have AT&T service on an AT&T Tilt and live in Louisiana
btw, I have tried messing with service options on the phone but nothing made any difference

this worked for me before I flashed any custom roms but has not worked since then
one rom I used for a while was Bengalih's AT&T based rom and it still didn't work
Every TF3D 2.1/2.5 ROM with wm 6.5 that I run on my phone has this problem. Whenever I receive an incoming call, I press the talk key and the phone either doesn't connect with the call until like 10 seconds later OR sits and the incoming call screen and just drops the call. This is VERY annoying. Everytime somebody calls me I have to call them back and explain why I was unable to answer the call. I don't know if this problem is related to TF3d 2 or WM 6.5, all I know is that I've flashed multiple ROMs from different cooks (Itje, NRGZ28, agent_47, rotastrain). All of these cooks make EXCELLENT roms, but I have the same problem in all of them. So, does anybody know of another good dialer that I could try? I want something that is both attractive (like TF3d 2.5 dialer) and functional.
Try PhoneEx from iconsoft.com. Though I don't know how it will go with TF3D.

I use Inesoft Phone (http://www.inesoft.com/eng/index.php?in=phone.html) and have found it much better but still not perfect!
I'm currently using W6.5 titanium (Genesis rom - which is superb!) and it uses a caller display screen that I've not seen so far - I think it's the new 6.5 caller display that works very quickly and as expected...
