Kaiser died while deleting file from SD card

Good day forum,
I would really appreciate your help on this:
This afternoon I deleted a file from the Kaiser's Micro SD card (a jpeg picture, but a pretty large one).
While deleting you clould see the "working" symbol in the middle of the screen until the symbol froze. I left the unit alone for about five minutes (way enough time to delete a file......) and made a soft reset since the Kaiser would not react any more.
Since then the unit behaves very strange: after starting you can hear the vibrating alarm for a second and the screen shows "smart mobility". This screen stays up for about 15 seconds but the display of the SW version etc. will not show up any more. The units shuts itself down and repeats the same procedure over and over again.
I check the forum, to no avail. Yes, a hard reset is still possible and was performed twice, no success.
Can anyone give me a clue what is wrong. My Kaiser is a German model with original ROM, nothing changed from the original. Reflashing the unit by myself is not possible since there is no German Kaiser ROM to download. And it might not cure the problem.

Try to pull out the microSD...

I had a similar issue deleting alot of files with pocket mechanic. Left it on for a few minutes, just to realize that it died on me. Apparently, with some trouble shooting steps, i was able to resolve the issue. Make sure your phone is connected to a external power supply(not the computers). I found out that the battery i had was on a critical low, everytime i boot it up it would just reach the smart mobility screen and just turn off. (which was strange because i had 70% battery life before i deleted the files) Eventually, i figured out the battery was drained. I immediately plugged it into an external adapter(using pc's wasnt enough power) and managed to get into the today screen. I let it charge a bit and everything was resolved. connecting the Kaiser with it's original Power adapter (5V, 1A) made no difference. The unit will not even go in charge mode, it keeps rebooting every 15 seconds. I left it like this for 30 minutes and gave up.
Is there anybody who can tell me how a business critical device like this can die while deleting a standard file from the SD card in such a manner that I have to turn it in for repair (propably gone for weeks)? What did I do wrong?
If this is a standard on these type of devices I have to rethink my decision. I was facing the same issue with a Sony Ericsson K800i which died during transfer of a file via Bluetooth. Had to send it in for repair (2,5 weeks gone), but SE admitted that it was an OS bug and released a new FW available for download 1 month later.
I can still hard reset the TyTN and I can get into bootloader mode while pressig the camera button during startup, but I am missing the original German ROM to reflash the unit.
Any help out there?

lost data after WM6 froze!!

Hi all,
I saved loads of information on my tytn II during the summer. Very important files (notes most often). I was stupid enough to let WM6 store this on the main folder instead of the micro SD card.
Earlier this evening, I tried to use the camera and the phone froze (classical...) so I pressed "reset". Except it never really restarted! I could just reach the WM6 picture on the screen and it would stay there for ages... until a white screen with black text made it clear that a program was running while i'd pressed reset (i really doubt it, i hadn't launched anything), and that i'll have to press reset to recover the initial configuration of the phone (OUCH). I pressed reset just once (too scared to do a hard reset, im not crazy enough yet) but it still does the same thing, gets locked on the WM6 screen but never shows the damned white screen with the terrible message.
Is there any (even very expensive) way to retrieve the data? I hope it's not lost... I don't give a damn if the phone is a brick, i just want the data!

hi again...
I used bootloader thinking it could save my files with it (i don't think so!) and now it gets stuck at the "smart mobility" screen with the red serial numbers... it doesn't even reach the windows mobile screen (used to get stuck there before I used bootloader).
Please help

do you guys think i'll lose my data if I flash it (meaning i reinstall windows with a new ROM with bootloader?).
I've never flashed the device... Haven't used any ROM either, simply because i don't know how to do that.

I called HTC and they told me that reflashing would make me lose all my data... What can I do? Please help, no one has bothered to answer...

If you have an SD inside when trying to boot, take it out and try again.
Sometimes a faulty SD can prevent startup.

Can i recover it???

Hi everyone, this is another midnight that i spend to find a way to recover my new used phone.
Please, really please, help me.
This is the problem:
A friend gived me his Tytn ii phone.
W.M 6.* .. i can't remember the right version.
this is what i did:
1) unistalled skype
2) re-installed skype
3) unistalled ohoner
4) installed winterface
5) uninstalled a register tool.
6) my memory stop at this point...
It stayed alive a couple of day and now.. STOP!!
it doesn't boot anymore.
This is what "he" do:
0) He vibrate
1) T-Mobile logo (he was germany)
2) RGB information
3) Black screen
4) HTC animated logo
5) Maya v1 logo (with his stone face)
6) STOPPPP
Sometime it looks like alive, if I open the phone the screen change, and stand out a lot of colored lines .
Sometime if a press all the keys i can press, appear the alignment wizard.
I try to align, and after a white screen, phone blocks.
I only want to recover my friend's contacts.. nothing else.
If i'll could do, i could think to rebuild the flash... BUT....
but but but but... but i need you!!!
i still belive...
maybe in a htc center,,,
what do you think about?????

If you can't boot, I don't know that there is anything you can do. Can't even flash the ROM without being able to sync.

So, there is no way to recovery "my" contacts...

I have to say something on that too. First: You can flash a ROM using the bootloader only. That works and will surely recover the phone. But the contacts will be lost then.
Have you tested Active Sync? Sometimes it is in the align screen windows and you can already use Active Sync then. I'm not sure about the Device Center Vista uses. Try to get the phone connected maybe it works.

Phone restart after unistall fonts!!!!pls help..

Hello guys.i am new in the forum..I have a problem with my phone.My phone is not the Htc touch diamond 2 but is a taiwan clone model T5358+ coming with windows mobile 6.5.The problem is that after install the A-H_Brians's WM6.5 Taskbar ~ gfreek edition V5a.zip (i download from this site)
and[/url] choose the A fonts my phone restarts and working fine showing the new icons that i install.after i try to unistall this program and my phone restarts showing the yellow-orange screen writing windows mobile for about a minute and then restarts again etc.i try to make it soft reset with a small buttom located behind the battery but nothing happens.also i try to make it hard reset(holding the up and down volume keys and after the power)but one white screen coming writing that stage 3 of 3 it cannot continue because file missing in memory card.when i connect the phone with the pc and open the phone...my pc regognice the phone as a disk.but phone dont let me choose between the sync and disk data.it remains to disk data mode for 1 minute and after restart again etc.I am not expert but i understand that something wrong with the windows mobile software so it cause restart all the time.Is there any guy there he can help me?trully it will be very helfull for me since that i just bought this phone and i feel litle bad right now.i thing you are the only you can help me here...thank you.

I suggest you search for the clone thread and in the ROM Development forum and ask in there.
You'll probably have to hard reset, instruction will be found there as well.

Hello bruce.and thank for youre answer.after a litle search here and after the help from the chinese guy that i bought the phone from ebay i found a solution.I flash the phone and i upload again the windows mobile 6.5.thank you for you help.

Last night when i connected my phone to the PC through ZUNE software, i was notified i have a software update from HTC. I proceeded with the upgrade, properly following the instructions. Problem was the update stopped at 9/10, even after i waited for 20 minutes still no change (phone is still working that time).
But when i tried to do RESTORE my phone through ZUNE again (i was worried software update was not fully successful) i received an error 80180083 ("the data received was corrupt or not valid") around 70% status. It asked me to disconnect phone. Now the phone is stuck with a picture showing me to connect my phone to the pc. When i do this, it will try to do a restore again but will repeatedly fail the same as before.
Even if i do a HARD reset (power BUTTON + up&down VOLUME), i will still get the same screen showing me the picture to connect my phone to the PC. Nothing seems to correct this problem (i consulted Microsoft Answers website for this, no clear solution so far and some people submitted their phones to HTC).
Anybody recently encountered this? Let me know how you resolved this problem...

Thanks for your help but I just sent in my phone for repair. Apparently the motherboard was replaced.
When i redid my update after getting back my phone, it was definintely faster. The update was succesful!
The major difference is the amount of memory space on my phone - previously my remaining space was ard 600mb (lots of music) compared to post repair (14G). Maybe that made my previous update difficult. I think it's best to remove files before doing the update, esp when it nearing full.
Just my 2 cents...
