I failed to upgrade my Trinity Radio or to WM 6 also at the same time i cannot install any hard Spl
i get an error 270 or 260
i tried soft reset first.
but nothing seems to work
ROM version : 1.23.405.2
Rom date : 3/11/2007
Radio Version : 1.38.00.11
the bootloader menu shows the following:
TRIN100
IPL-0.5
TRIN100
SPL-1.07.0000
update1: when i try flashing it get 1% and stop and it goes back to the tri color screen with no change in the spl version.

Best way to upgrade is to put your device manually in bootloader :

Then install hard SPL (personnaly i prefer Des' Crash-Proof SPL)
And after you will be able to install a Rom Wm6.1 of your choice !
To flash your device, prefer to put your device manually in bootloader...you will have less error message !

you should try to re-download the ROM you are trying to flash. If you still receive this error, refer to this thread . You basically have 2 options: 1) run SSPL manually from your phone, then run the RUU from the computer to flash the ROM or SPL you want.. or 2) flash using SD card flash method

I have a big problem. My SPV m700 was unlocked and working. I tried to change the rom and at 75 % I got an error. When I started the phone the scrren was blank. I have hard reset it. My spl version is 1.7.000 or something. I thinik is the original one. I wasen't able to put any other spl version. I get stuck at 1 %. The first time I have managed to change the spl was when the phone was working. Now is a brick. I still can enter in the tricolor screen. Is there any hope? Can someone help me? Thx a lot
HTC Trinity original ROM
Here is the original HTC Trinity ROM:

1. Press on/off button + camera button + reset (using the stylus)
2. You should now be in tricolor screen.
3. Connect the usb cable.
4. Make sure you have activesync runing.
5. Install the rom provided in the link.
In the link you will find rom+radio. (Radio version 1.20)

I had the 1.14 spl olinex and installed the new 1.56.00.00 release of original italian rom.
I had the green screen as everyone knows, so I installed again the spl from original htc (not the unsigned).
Than my phone always starts with the bootloader and doesn't go on. Giving upgrade rom error.
Please help me!!!!!!!!!!

Flash your stock ROM via the bootloader.
upgrade your rom using BLACIMG.nbh <-- stock ROM.
make sure you choose a MicroSD that you know it works for sure (like sandisk).
that's no brick yet.
copy your ROM file and rename to BLACIMG.nbh and save it in the root directory of your storage card. Plug it in to the phone again and hold VolDn + press Power button to start the flashing process.
If it's really bricked you wouldn't even able to see the SPL splash screen...

Im about to flash my ROM from original 1.56 to Duttys new, but when i enter bootloader the white loadingscreen gets stuck in my face. Nothing happens and i need to remove the battery to shut down device. Anyone? Freakin frustratin´.
Before I flashed my first rom, I read wiki.xda-developers.com to make sure I understood what I was doing, and used the search button, instead of risking turning my phone into a paper weight.
Since then, Crackwhore has written a very helpful post at the top of this forum about how to use HSPL and USPL to allow you to flash roms.
yeah i know all that. not my first time flashing a phone but the first time it got stuck loading the bootloader. and specially when i´ve only used the HTC update.

you mean you couldn't get to boot loader page?
So you already have HSPL 1.56 installed (or have SPL1.54 and used USPL)?
If you have HSPL you could try renaming the .nbh file to blacimg.nbh and copying it to the SD card and entering bootloader
Same problem here. Stuck in bootloader mode. Loading progress indicator never moves beyond 0%. Have always used the card method (blacimg.nbh), but this time it doesn't work and nothing flashes. No matter what I do the system goes to tricolour bootloader screen and says ROM update error. Have tried 3 microSD cards, all in working order, so this isn't the problem. try dnloading the rom again amd try.
the file might be corrupt
Have tried that many times. File is not corrupt. I'm getting really worried this is now a brick...
OK, if you can get phone into bootloader, it is not bricked
What does your SPL say in bootloader? Do you get any errors when trying to flash rom? Are you using USPL or HSPL? If USPL, you have to use it before every flash to new rom or radio. If HSPL, are you using correct version?
Was on Dutty's 3.9 XT, but decided to revert to standard WWE 1.56. I flashed the Std 1.56 ROM successfuly, and then tried to restore the ship SPL 1.54 using the card flash method. This failed, and now I'm stuck on the bootlader screen forever.
No matter what I do the THD always goes to bootloader (red-green-blue-white screen), with following text:
BLAC100 32M
SPL-1.54.0000
MicroP-BlackStone (LED) v6

When I start blac_uspl.exe (USPL 2.5), a window flashes (Vista64) for a split second and then nothing else happens. The Vista64 system's USBs work with THD and have been used to sync over past few months.
When I try to run HSPLWrapper_Blackstone_156OliNex.exe and step through the preliminary screens, the Verify that you want to update ROM version screen has the From Image Version as blank and the To Image Version as 1.56.Olinex. When I click to commit the flash the THD screen switches to white with a progress indicator that always stays at 0% until it times out. Recovery does nothing and the same thing always happens. Using Vista64. .Net installed and fine. I can't use the card method (BLACIMG.NBH) - the system also stays on "Loading .... 0%" and nothing else happens.
When I try to flash anything (have tried HSPL1.56, Dutty's 3.9 ROM, stock 1.54 spl) using the card method, the system says "Loading . . ." and hangs there forever without a progress indicator showing.
Your SPL says 1.54.0000. When you try and run USPL.exe have you remembered to disable your antivirus?
Have you tried usb method instead of card for flashing rom?
I know you have said that youi have used usb for syncing, but when in bootloader does it change from 'serial' to 'usb' when you connect HD to PC?

1. Yes, anti-virus disabled and indeed removed from the PC.
2. Yes, have tried the USB method at least 20 times.
3. Yes, the bootloader changes from Serial to USB. It then goes to the progress indicator screen and hangs on 0%. The progress indicator on the RUU on PC also stays at 0% and eventually times out. I've gone through the Recovery routine at least 20 times, with no luck.
When I try to run SSPL-Manual-TouchHD.exe it says "not a valid Win32 application".
I'm a bit perplexed by this.
You have obviously successfully flashed Duttys V3.9 so drivers are fine, you know how to use USPL, both flashing methods (SD card and usb/pc), disabled anti-virus, phone in bootloader.
Have you tried to reflash 1.56 rom or possibly performing a hard reset before trying to use USPL or HSPL. I doubt this would make a difference though.
Have you tried cRaCKwHoRe's USPL GUI v 2.5 Application?
You don't get any code errors?? I'm struggling to find a solution here.
Yes, this is most vexing. I've flashed innumerable times before and never had an issue. I suspect the SPL is fine, but somehow the actual WM ROM image is corrupted. Will now try to load Std 1.56 ROM image again...
Success! The 3rd attempt at reflashing stock 1.56 ROM worked. I don't know why the system bombed out before. Perhaps one of those inexplicable brain farts..
Anyway, all seems to be fine now. Fallen Spartan, you have my endless gratitude for at least responding. Let me know if you need accommodation at next year's FIFA World Cup in South Africa (though I'm a rugby fan).

Im still stuck. When i installed HSPLWrapper_Blackstone_156OliNex my screen changed colors but would go back to normal when i would turn the screen off and back on so i didnt see it as a problem. I installed the EnergyROM BLACKSTONE 20090608 Standard an tried to go back stock using RUU_BlackStone_HTC_WWE_1.14.405.0_Radio_52.49a.25.26_1.09.25.14_Ship but it gets to 1% then says this update utility cannot be used for you PDA phone. Please check your update utlity.
Then the phone boots up and at the black smart mobility screen in the bottom corner it says
R 1.09.25.14
G 52.49A.25.26U
D 1.14. 21010
the phone boots up with the funny colors again and goes to align screen but it keeps staying there even after i align it.
The bootloader screen says

Adamsville: perhaps you're stuck in bootloader mode because the WM ROM image flashed on your system has become corrupted or disabled, ie the only thing the system can boot into is the bootloader.
Try flashing a new compatible WM ROM image and see if that works.

a hardreset followed by a 1.54 base rom will solve all ur probs.
or lower spl to 1.14 cos ur stock rom is a 1.14 base as suggested by th name..

Here is my little story
I always used the topix roms with my touch hd what was very nice. But the phone feltout ofmy hands and the lcd was broken. So i putted on the original rom in the hope htc would fix my hd but they didnt cause the screen is no warranty and they would fix it for 250 euro's pff too much
So i ordered a lcd screen on ebay for 50 put it in myself but i ****** up the volume button and it doesnt work anymore so i cant go in to the bootloader. Is there anyway to flash it to a different rom.
I already tried to do it with Hsplwrapper 1.56onilex. I have got it activesynced my original is 1.56.404.1 and it updates succesfully to 1.56onilex says Hsplwrapper. So i putted the bootloader on the phone and when i boot in to the bootloader is says everytime 1.07. What am i doing wrong ?
Or cant i flash no more cause i ****** up the volume button ?

What is your current SPL in bootloader?
Have you tried SSPL?
You can flash rom via usb cable so you don't need to use volume button. Just put rom file (.nbh) and ruu wrapper in same folder and run wrapper once you've sorted out your SPL
The current SPL on the bootloader is 1.07.OLiNex
When im using SSPL it works i can go in to my bootloader but the problem is when im updating with Hsplwrapper it says my current is 1.56.404.1 and then im updating everything goes fine and then im going in to the bootloader again with SSPL and it says the same spl everytime. While HSPLwrapper updates fine.
So thats the problem a bit i cant update the spl any idea what im doing wrong ?
Once you've got 1.07.OLiNex have you tried resetting device then putting it back in bootloader before running HSPL 1.56?
Also, another fix could be to flash a stock 1.56 rom, then try using HSPL again
hello!i have an htc touch diamond 2 and i used hard-SPL in order to put a new rom to my device.i did it successfully(at least pc said so) and then i installed a rom energy topaz successfully too.but when it was done my device restarted on its own and it cant boot.the only thing that it does is to appear the htc green logo in white screen and then restarting again and again and again!!i kept the volume down button and it booted on the red-green-blue-white screen and it says this:

Sorry i didn't get back to you sooner and you added the perfect amount of info
ok where to start - firstly have you tried a hard reset after flashing the ROM this isn't always needed but may possibly free something up to make the energy ROM work. You could also try flashing back to a stock ROM from the HTC website and then re-flash the one you want after everything is ok on the stock ROM.
when you say successfully loaded do you mean the screen shows 100% (phone not computer) or does it say complete as it can say 100% on the screen for a little while and not work ? I don't do mine by the PC i use a memory card to flash it and mine always comes up complete when done and then press a key to restart the phone.
failing all of this head back into the hard_spl thread run the spl_relocker in the first post and once relocked flash with hard_spl 1.83 no idea if the newer version is less or more buggy but i use 1.83 and it's smooth sailing.
You could also try flashing from a memory card instead if you have one to hand
