[Q] SGS Stuck in the boot-loop - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

This is my first post, so I will try to be clear:
I have SGS I9000 2.3.3 rooted with Odin (CF-Root-XW_NEE_JVH-v3.2-CWM3RFS) and was working perfectly for the last weeks.
Today I tried to setup my work email on my phone with the built-in Email Client, and due to company policy I had to encrypt all the files on the phone( this is done automatically).
The issue started after it finished encrypting the files, the mobile didn't start again and got stuck at the logo page. I tried many times without success I also tried to go to the recovery mode but it's also stuck at Downloading page and it doesn't move (No menu).
how can I perform a factory reset? Is there any other solution
Thanks for ur answers

Your best off reflashing the firmware dude, via Odin
Sent from my CM7 modded I9000. Kernel is one mean son of a Glitch!

thanks for your recommendation.
I just tried to reflash it with the official load from Samsung and it failed, below the output of odin:

where did you download the files? try download the ones from Ramad thread

I downloaded the files from thd "forum Official firmwares for Samsung Galaxy S I9000 - Download" which comes from xda-developers
It works now , by using Odin v1.7 instead of v1.82 with the same 4 files

[Q][Solved] Brick, can't flash

Hello Friends!
I have bricked my s5830i ace, while I wanted to return to stock with odin. Unfortunately I didn't check USB debugging, so I couldn't flash it.
The problem is the following:
-Usb debugging isn't checked=>Can't flash=>Can't unbrick
Please help me! If i connect the phone to the first USB, odin says: Operation(Write) failed...or something...I can't try now.
Or when I connect to the second USB, odin says: Connecting(or something like that) and stucks...
Please help me! I'm very nervous, and I don't want to bring it to service!
You're my last hope
(If you need details, I could have a look at flashing process, and messages)
Well, how did you brick it? Seems like you flashed the wrong firmware (a firmware for 5830 without the 'i')
If that's the case and odin is stuck at setting up connection, then bad luck. A jtag (if you know someone with one) or service center are your options.
I'm sad to hear that. I wanted to flash the official 2.3.6 from samfirmware. If I know well, I should use Odin 1.84, or 1.85 and the file, which I have downloaded should be under PDA section...
Does your ace still go into download mode?
If so, it might be fixed by flashing the correct firmware.
Make sure to have your firmware in your pc root (C:/) since i've read that it helps.
I've put the correct firmware (Samfirmware S5830i Hungary Telenor)...It boot into download mode without any problem. I haven't tried to put the md5 file to the root, but I will try it soon. Thanks. I hope It's a good idea.
But I think I should check USB debugging in settings, but I can't do this, because It's bricked

As far as I'm concerned, usb debugging doesn't matter when flashing via odin. Edit: confirmed, since in download mode the system isn't loaded, there's nothing to debug.
Most odin problems occur when using wrong firmware, wrong .ops file or filename, when drivers aren't installed, or when not running odin as admin.
Okay....nothing worked.
I've tried everything, which you've said.
Odin write me every time:

Problem solved
I've found a multi package here:

It helped me...my phone is unbricked again
And of course I've flashed the stock rom too.

GT-I9305 Bootloop? Odin Fail, wanting data back...

Hi all,
Samsung Galaxy S3 - GT-I9305. After the OS patch was getting a few issues like system randomly resting, security block popups on some apps when there never was before. One night however woke up and the phone was powered down. Now only powers up only into Samsung Logo bootloop. Cant enter recovery mode, just goes into the loop. I've got 2 ROMs from SAM mobile for my carrier, one older and one recent, as i'm unsure what my ROM is and cant check it now. Both however fail with Odin. Log listing below.
Have tried different ports, using original cable. Ideally would like to get my data back as pictures and contacts were not backed up.... Please help! Pretty desperate and haven't really found anything in forums for this situation.

TWRP
Hello and thank you for using Q/A,
can you please try flashing TWRP via AP:
twrp-2.8.7.0-i9305.img.tar
And then please try to boot into TWRP using the known combination. Tell me, if your I9305 is booting into TWRP then.
Regards
Trafalgar Square
Thanks for reply. I tried on Odin3 1.87 and 3.10.7 both fail; log

Option selected auto reboot via AP.
:crying:
Any other suggestions?
The thread is dead, but in case anyone is coming across the same sort of problem.. i bit the bullet and took it to a service tech. They couldn't fix it and had to replace the motherboard. So unfortunately that was the solution for me anyway. :crying:

thanks i finally found a firmware that would flash. I had to use one of the oldest ones available. from there it appeared that somehow the unlock oem had been shut off during a flash, or was related to how far i had gone through setting up the google account after the initial setup before i tried to flash something additional
