I was using MIUI NX A2SD version 1.8.5
Wanted to try the New version MIUI NX 1.9.x
So i Formated the SD using the "MiniTool Partition Wizard Home Edition" as 1gb EXT3 and Rest as FAT
Now i wen i reboot my mobile it doesnt BOOT IN.
It doesnt even boot into the recovery in theOOTLOADER .
Please help.
I DONT THINK I HAVE THE CLOCKWORK or AMON installed ... wat to do ?
If you have unlocked bootloader - just install the recovery through fastboot and reinstall any ROM you want.
If you don't have unlocked bootloader - you can either unlock it, or try to restore your Nexus using PASSIMG method and then root it without unlocking. If PASSIMG won't work - then you'll have to unlock the bootloader.
All the relevant guides are in the Wiki. Link in my signature.
I will try the PASSIMG method ...
I have flashed my mobile many times with many OS till now BLINDLY.
I always had either CLOCKWORK or AMON recovery installed. But after ther recent MIUI install i didnt install any RECOVERY.
So i am not able to get the RECOVERY options.
Recovery isn't connected to ROM in any way, and if you had the recovery installed before installing the ROM - you still have it. Boot to bootloader, choose "Recovery", press power button to select.
Download FRG83 ROM from here. FRG33 ROM from here can also be used, but might result in "Main version is older" error.
Rename the downloaded ZIP file to PASSIMG.ZIP.
Transfer the provided PASSIMG.ZIP file to the root of your SD card.
Power down your phone.
Hold down the Volume Down button as you power your phone back on.
A screen should appear showing your phone’s system searching for various files. This will take up to 2 minutes.
The phone will ask you if you want to start the update. Press the Volume Up button to start the update.
If you followed these steps correctly - congratulations, you are now on stock Froyo ROM.

Make sure that there isn't a zip contained within a zip.
Anyway, the easiest way to get recovery back on your phone if you are back up and running with MIUI would be to install ROM Manager from the market and using it to flash your recovery.
Ok now the problm seems to be with SD card.
Now that i have booted into MIUI, i see that it is not detecting the SD card.
Installed Rom manager from market. It wants SD card to be accessed.
The SD card is working fine n my system. I might have formated it the wrong formats or something with the tool "MiniTool Partition Wizard Home Edition"
Please let me know the exact format parameters.
I am formating as FAT32 - LOGICAL and another ext3 - LOGICAL

I would just recommend partitioning the card through recovery. Recovery will partition it the way it needs to be done. Just back up anything that is currently on the card.
You can't "click Recovery".
When you're in bootloader menu, you need to select the RECOVERY option using VOLUME UP/DOWN buttons, and press POWER button to select the option. If you can't - it means you're not doing it correctly.
The Wiki has section "Recovery", look at it and if you happen to have no recovery - flash a new one using the guide for unlocked bootloader there.

hi
when i press x and power show Triangle and now i can not press vloume key because may button is bricked
now what am i doing?
I'm new here so I'm not entirely sure about this, but couldn't you download the ROM manager app from the market and use that?
Inside the app there is a button to let you reboot to recovery without holding the button sequence to trigger recovery mode.
Hope that works.
If you are referring to milestone, it is possible to enter recovery mode without the help of any key.
You need to download and extract openrecovery to the root of your sdcard. Then copy your rom to the updates folder.
Then search for androidiani open recovery thread, page 26, post by zeppelinrox. It shows you how to get it done.

Hey guys, I've been reading around but prefer to ask directly in case there's something I'm missing.
What I did was:
* Root with SuperOneClick
* Installed Rom Manager
* From Rom manager installed CWM
* From Rom manager selected Boot to recovery
=> stuck at LG logo
Is there any other option besides flashing a stock rom with SmartFlash? Also does it really matters which version I flash (I had stock froyo, can I flash stock GB?).
Thanks in advance, I'm about to freak out
_EDIT_
This post worked for me a big thanks to all who came in here to help.
Try to reboot in recovery by press power button+volume down.

Thanks but nothing happens, also tried removing the battery and doing it again but no luck
I think the only solution possible is to restore the original lg rom.
This will erase all your internal sd card data and all the app.
1) download the rom you want to restore from here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1035041
2)Download smartflash program and drivers from here:
-http://loadbalancing.modaco.com/download.php?url=mf/?ebwer79kx5abx61
3)Run smartflsh proram
4) Pull the phone's battery off and connect it with the usb to the computer then press volume down, install the drivers if necessary
5)In smartflsh select the rom copy D/L tab and be sure that normsl mode is selected and erase cal is NOT selected.Select in cp bin the rom .fls file and in ap bin the .bin file then click start.

Thanks, yeah I think that's the only solution, in fact I've been downloading a stock rom for a while now. Just don't know if that's the one for me, I'm downloading this one:
EURO OPEN
BIN_LGP990AT-00-V20q-EUR-XX-JAN-24-2012-0
and I had froyo v10a would that do it?
These roms are all gingerbread stock roms.

is your device still rooted...can you get access to the CWM with power button+volume down button...then u can flash a rebuild of V20q by Flix...or you can try other stock ROMs like Django Manouche 1.2 ROMs.or the one which is just released by Civato...these stock ROMs have all the things and look like Stock but with more performance related tweaks.

As stated on third comment after Cice96's suggestion, I'm unable to boot into recovery. If you mean after I flash with SmartFlash I'll try but doubt I'll still have CWM.
Tried nvflash cwm? Search for the thread by Rusty! In dev section.

I'm not able to enter recovery/CWM mode. Even if I press the combination of keys the phone won't move from the LG logo.
What kind of O2X do you have?
If it's SU660, try doing home-vol down-power to get into recovery.

also, you need to keep holding down the buttons until you get to the second LG logo

Hi this happens when you try to apply update or custom rom which is actually not supported for your phone.. Same error shown when you try to flash your cell with custom rom which is actually not for your cell.
You can find compatible roms for your cell and then then update one of them via your recovery manager that will help you for sure ...
Assuming you have installed a custom recovery via odin ... instructions can be found in this thread by Android-United
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1635108
I believe you need to click on install from sd card and not apply update :highfive:
Hi,
In my HTC One i've recentely obtained root permissions with this tool.
Then i've installed the Xposed Framework and the Modaco ToolKit.
No problem still now.
Later I've installed the Advanced Power Menu with Reboot Options v4
Can't boot the phone. (See attachment for a screen)
Any ideas?
i had same problem.
1-) Install clockworkmod with on-the-go support
2-) if you have on the go cable( if you dont have it then you cannot use this method), download a rom and copy to a usb flash disk.
3-) plug it to your phone with usb flash disk attached.
4-) boot into recovery
5-) select install zip from sd card, then select install from external sd card ( you have to wait about 30 seconds to phone identify your usb stick)
6-) flash your rom and enjoy!
it worked for me on ARHD 4.2...

yes of course you can find the stock rom, but you wiil lose root and may lose your recovery
so you have to do it from scratch... i recommend flashing a custom rom.

It looks like you have a custom recovery and need to flash a ROM. Try downloading a ROM from XDA and flashing it. You need to put the ROM on an SD card and flash it using the menu options.

don't have a sd card, can I do this with my mac somehow and usb connected to the phone?
also where do I download the rom and how do I flash it with what software?
Look in the XDA Developers forum under "Xperia Z3 Compact Android Development". You will find various ROMs in the discussions as well as links for downloading them. The ROMs well be large ZIP files. Transfer them to the phone using a tool called ADB. You can install this on a Mac and transfer the ZIP via a USB cable.
---------- Post added at 11:25 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:24 PM ----------
Google's ADB and Mac for installation instructions.

Once the ZIP file is on the phone, boot into recovery mode and select "Install ZIP". Then select the ZIP file that you transferred.
So u have cwm, thats good for now.
Download a Rom u want to flash. For example a Stock kitkat Rom.then use the cwm sideload Option to copy it to ur internal storage. When this is done wipe System,Cache &dalvik Cache. Do NOT wipe the internal storage.then flash the zip u Put in via sideload and reboot. If u done all correct System should Boot.
I think I wiped it I know I tried to clean everything and pressed every option, not sure, where is the link for the stock kitkat rom, there are so many pages and links I can't find it.

You have a custom recovery...you cannot therefore flash a stock rom.
Download a custom rom. Place it on your sd card, and flash it from recovery.
