Skinomi TechSkin Warranty - Motorola Droid 3

So I just got Skinomi TechSkin for my Droid 3 and it has been treating me alright but I unfortunately need to file for their warranty replacement. One of the thin side pieces are peeling off and this should not be an issue given the strong adhesive they use.
There is a slight problem: they want me to FAX them the warranty replacement form?
I cannot remember the last time I saw, much less, used a fax machine. Is there anyway to fax an image or PDF file with your computer?
If anybody who's had experience with their warranty policy could help me out, that'd be great

freefax.com
I have used freefax.com in the past to fax things. I had to use this when i applied for my new job to send documents to the corporate office.

Thanks a lot

Here's an update, I emailed them asking if you can email them your warranty information even though it only says that you can fax it on the website and they that was fine.

"Indestructable" Screen protector by Armor Guard

MJ2R0iAPGBc
The brand is Armor Guard and they have it for the Galaxy Note 2 and other Android devices.
I'm thinking of canceling my order for iSmooth and purchasing the above product, but im not sure...
Has anyone tried the Armor Guard?

Indistructable screen protector? Nice!
But at just .25 mm thick I'd be more interested in how it stands up to SPen use.
Wow their offering a 2 year warranty to fix or replace your phone if the screen cracks while using their product. Very interesting, Anybody tried it yet?

The problem in the past with these super strong protectors tends to be that they are soft and using the s-pen will leave grooves. Would like to hear about that.
The N2 is considered as a tablet, including shipping, the total cost is $31, $33 for Canadians. We might as well purchase full warranty on it.

My point exactly.. screen protectors that work so well for othwr devices don't work that well for the Note II due to the SPen.
I used a sheild that I have used with everyone of my devices over the past couple of years. They worked great and I loved them... that is until I bought them for my Note II. The grooves that the SPen left on the screen jusy drove me crazy.

I would read carefully between the lines of such warranty. Typically phone replacement claims are offered under a "normal" use, and trust me they will come up with any excuse to prove you were using your phone outside of their "normal" use guidelines. This is not a warranty from SquareTrade, Best Buy, or whoever else you bought your phone. Take for instance such reputable company as Otterbox. I called them up complaining about screen protector which is a known design flow, they created a case and told me the processing under warranty replacement will start after I send them a picture of front and back of the case with a piece of paper next to it stating my name and date. Furthermore, they wanted a picture of the defect, and since it was not visible on the picture I had to make a short lo-fi video clip explaining what's going on. I ended up just returning that Defender case back, but if this would have been outside of my 14 day replacement window - I wouldn't be surprised if they would come back to me "its a normal expected behavior". The point, always take these miracle warranty claims with a grain of salt

Speaking about Otterbox I bought a case from a 3rd seller through Amazon.de that was defective (the inner silicon) and after contacting them and sending them the requested photos they agreed immediately to send me a new case as part of the 1 year warranty. Please note that I live in Greece and they cover everything. I have to say I am extremely happy with Otterbox.
They have videos of people break dancing with the phone tied to their ankle covered in the screen protector.
The phone gets damaged, but the screen is perfect.
I'll take it no one wants to try this product and write a review?
Armor Guard Reviews
I recently bought Armor Guard for my iPhone and iPad - it's AWESOME! I haven't had a major drop yet but the occasional time my phone dropped nothing happened. The warranty is unheard of and it's legit. I checked their Facebook page and someone posted about it.
BTW they have reviews on their website buyarmorguard dot com

Never had problems with otterbox warranty. They replaced my two cases immediately after the pics were sent. I even mentioned that the defect was that it didn't come with a sp so I cant take picture of what is not there. I just wanted the sp they sent me two complete replacement product
On there site it says Read our full Limited warranty for Details.. Well one small detail. There is NO Posted warranty
On there FAQ.. Question is . what if my phone or device cant be repaired .
Answer:We will replace it with a LIKE Device.
A warranty like this got me once on a tv. they can give you anything with similar specs. Does not have to be exact specs.
But if the above is not really a issue but just me being paranoid its a good deal. If this were not a soft material protector .
What do you think.. Anyone find there full warranty details please post..
If someone who bought this product could comment on the warranty, since they state that the warranty details are included with the order (I dunno why they don't just post them on their site unless they don't want the masses reading it before they purchase... Might be shady).

Dropped it from about 2' and there it was like a spiderweb. My question is should I trust a local place to fix it for 150$?
Which otterbox? Commuter or defender??

My point was that it is more feasible to replace the device as a whole than open it up and repair it.
OP, a quote from Ifixit: "The display assembly cannot be replaced without removing the rear case—this will make the most common repair, a damaged screen, nearly impossible."
Link to article: http://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/HTC+One+Teardown/13494/3
Sorry, but I feel like they would fail to fix the screen.
HTC have said the H1 is highly reparable and was designed with repairs in mind, but they say you need a special tool that only HTC has.

I have both defender and commuter..but i prefer the commuter since its have quite thick and soft rubber if compare to defender which have thin and hard rubber (not good to absorb impact) plus the hard poly plastic and aluminum i dont think they are good when mix with each other. Easy to scratch the aluminum body. The hard case, i observe is too tight (prone to scratch the alu body) when i put my H1 inside it, feel very solid, but i really afraid if it fall down, then plastic and its thin rubber unable to protect it from impact..i do try search if anyone had done any drop test using the defender or commuter with no prevail..

Stop trying to save 30 dollars and get HTC to replace it. You will kick yourself when you get your phone back and the case is mangled because third party repairs don't have the right tools to disassemble the phone.
I have a TPU case and so far I've done great in terms of drops. At least one face down drop from three of so feet off the ground.
Not trying to save anything but if HTC does it I'll be out a phone for 10 days plus cost. That's probably what I'll have to do tho. The cs guy said they may discount the repair due to the circumstances.
Get it done from HTC. With local places you need to consider not only might they do a crap job but they also might use cheap unofficial glass which is more prone to smash again, my friend recently had that problem with her Nexus 4 repair.
I decided to just file an insurance claim 200$ witch means 400$ in less than ninety days on this phone fml.

i'm looking at a $200 claim less than a week after getting mine. first time i've cracked a phone since my iphone 3g.
i'm gonna try to get a gs4 back instead, i can't have a device that literally glides on surfaces. i didn't drop the phone it slid from my lap to the concrete. that's some ****ed up **** to have to deal with for the premium of "aluminum casing" lmao aluminum comes on beer cans.

USB Cover snapped off

No clue how it happened, but I am now sans an attached usb cover (I found the nub in my pocket, separated from the phone). It doesn't look like anything that can be user replaced and haven't seen any chatter about this... Has anyone had this problem? Any thoughts on repair?

Call AT&T or Samsung, it should be in warranty.
I actually had this same thing happen. The cover came undone from the little rubbery flexable piece when I was at work and I found the cover piece in my pocket. From there I just pulled the rubber piece out with some pliers and reattached the cover. I just have to remember to put it back on after charging/syncing.

That's what I am doing as well. Except I don't remember often.
Wouldn't this be physical damage not covered under warranty?
Confirmed, they will not cover this. If the phone had water damage, it would be covered..
I am going to put the cover in a safe place because I was told if I show up with water damage without the cover, then the damage would not be covered, so best not to lose it. Doesn't make sense, but that's what I was told.
I find it quite funny that, after the factory 4.3 update, I know get a warning reminding me to make sure the USB cover is closed after I unplug it. My cover broke off a couple of months ago. They don't offer replacement covers, but they want us to be sure that the port is sealed up. Samsung is trying to cover their @$$. I wonder how many people still have their cover.

There is no set deductable. The amount depends on what tier phone you have.
DEDUCTIBLE
A tiered deductible per the terms of your Insurance Coverage Certificate, will apply as follows:
Device Tier 1: Devices will be charged a $50 non-refundable deductible.
Device Tier 2: Devices will be charged a $125 non-refundable deductible.
Device Tier 3: Devices will be charged a $199 non-refundable deductible.
Which devices are on which Tier:

water proof, charge proof, resnap the flap proof?
It is well made proof. In fact we all have good proof it was not a well conceived of device and for these mega corps, either samsung or your svc provider, to not offer some type of replacement cover is the corruption of greed for us all to see. It is all too commonplace though, greed tactics that is, so we have all become numb. Thats why them and everyone else in a position to take advantage of us will do just that. What geniuses they are to promote blogs and such, just like this one here, so we can read and complain to each other and drop the number of would be complaints to there websites and call centers by an estimated 70%. DEFECT: Otterbox 360 Clearly Protected for HTC One M8

I purchased this product when upgrading to the M8 as the Sprint rep was kind of enough to waive off the activation fee if I purchased an accessory. After the application of the rear case protection screen I noticed there wasn't a cutout for the microphone above the LED Flashes. You can see in the picture attached. I know I didn't do a good job applying it, but it wasn't important to me as I already purchased another slim case to go over the phone. The rear screen protector is just another layer of protection between case and phone.
Since I felt this is a manufacturer defect I contacted Otterbox for a replacement. However, the product is not sold by them directly therefore there wasn't anything they could do and informed me to contact Sprint. Sprint Chat recommended I'd go to a Corporate store to either get a replacement or a full refund.
Hopefully that goes well.
Hope it works out for you, but I doubt they'll help you out. I switched from sprint a while back because I had a lot of bad experienced with their customer support. So I switched to Verizon, which is more $ but they have been great at remeding any issue I have.
For instance when buying the m8 I wanted to do the buy one get one free but didn't realize I had to buy them both in one transaction. But luckily even though I purchased the m8's a week apart Verizon still credited back the $199.99 to me
Hope Sprint helps you out. I haven't used the otterbox back shields, do they work well?

Whitestone Dome Lifetime Warranty

Whitestone has recently instituted a Limited Lifetime Warranty for their products. They indicate that the warranty is applicable for "Wear and damage to the product." They will replace or exchange with a product of equal value. In order to use the warranty you have to register the product on Whitestonedome.com. They will send a replacement. But, you have to pay for a shipping/handling charge as well as return the damaged product back to them.
I successfully installed the Dome on my Note 8 in early September and have been happily using it without problems since then. It was a bubble-free install. I've been using a Spigen Neo Hybrid case. I haven't dropped the phone or abuse it. This last weekend, I noticed a row of bubbles along the edge of the Dome near the power button of the Note 8. I typically turn off the Note 8 once a week for a refresh bootup. So, I contacted Whitestone and they informed me of the new warranty. I registered my Dome. Requesting a replacement is easy. However, the cost for shipping the replacement is $15.38. They don't pay for shipping costs for the return of the damaged Dome. Apparently, they won't be shipping the replacement until they receive the returned Dome. A credit card payment is needed immediately when you request a replacement.
I'm not sure why they need the damaged Dome returned if I registered since they ask for the original order number as confirmation of ownership. I assume when I remove the Dome from the phone, it may crack/break. If I mail the damaged Dome to them, it will probably get damaged further unless I carefully package it for shipment. This is unnecessary and doesn't seem to be a customer friendly process.
Zagg does the same thing. You register first time you buy it and every time you break your screen protector you go claim a warranty replacement and just pay shipping. The reason they ask for it back is because i think they wanna make sure that you are using their own TGSP instead of some cheap one and claiming it as theirs.

My wife and I have Zagg and have replaced them both over time with no problems only downside you pay $9.99
today I got the replacement film, but now since the chip is small I have doubts whether to use it immediately or keep it for a while the old, what do you recommend?
Edit: installed the new and away the thoughts, but one thing I understood, even with a case (in my case pitaka), if the phone falls the film breaks.

Have sent an email to them over the issue, if they don't come back with go good reason going avoid it and also inform my friends. Not worth paying $37.50.
