Nenamark 1- (26-43fps)old to (50+)new
Nenamark 2- (10-15fps)old to (30+)new
these scores now beating the powervr540 now & showing the real performance of adreno 205
these updated drivers were successfully extracted by chinese members forum of galaxy plus has also been tested...
[email protected]forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1376462
i also tried it, but resulted in bootloop.. may we need a flashable zip or some editing.. try it yourself
but create a cwm recovery backup in case anything goes wrong & post results here..

UPDATE 1-
i came to know that new kernel 2.6.35.7 is needed for these new drivers
huawei has released these drivers in their new updates for some devices like huawei mercury...
these updates for ideos x5 & pro also having new drivers + kernel & getting 30+fps...
if you can take a look at these roms
u8800 pro- forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1326525
u8800- forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1369296
drivers in these are even more updated.. & would be easy to port as device having same manufacturer & same specs ( u8800 pro )
UPDATE 2-
i also found this
rootzwiki.com/topic/10447-adreno200-open-source-userspace-driver/page__unlockUserAgent__1
UPDATE 3-
Edowar is working on newer kernel + drivers & will be releasing them soon in his next CM update

UPDATE 3-
with edowar's current progress in development he is already getting 25fps.. hope he could boost it to full potential..
you can notice that the list of the devices with newer adreno drivers shows device gpu id like Adreno (TM) 2xx
while with old drivers it was Adreno 2xx on nenamark result site..

Wow!! Thats great news. This will definitely help the porting of ICS to our device.

ya i know that, same happened with my device... thats why this thread is still a [DEV] thread not a universal [MOD] yet..

this drivers are for samsung devices.
samsung does some modification for there device.(they use hW acceleration in there every mid to high range devices like galaxy s,w,s plus,s 2,R)
so i think we have to modify it for our device.
we need a driver developer for this

Dev's please look into this thread
Please dev look into this driver. our device really need gpu update. if this work is done, than it will be really great.
So please :- tj_style , doomlord , edowar , Napstar and other dev, please work on this and make it compatible with our divice.
THANK'S IN ADVANCE

this egl binary did not work, maybe there is no included libgsl.so , because I always use libgsl.so and egl files folder from stock rom to build cm7.

m' also discussin' this with dev workin' dhd gpu dev. thread.. he also said prob. is different libs

We can't just update with binary only, we need to update the adreno driver on the kernel too.
any available source for newer adreno driver?

Good News-
Someone has submitted new 24.9fps score on nenamark2 with csl mi-410 (that the same score se devices scoring using new ics official alpha builds)
The best score Adreno 205 has reached is 30fps, lets hope for the best.
nena.se/nenamark/view?version=2&device_id=441
tj_style or maybe some other has ported it to 2.3.7

What kernel is this based on? My hope is he's recompiling the (I think 2.6.35?) kernel native to Gingerbread, rather than the other ROM's which have been using a variation on the original LG 2.6.29 kernel. If so, I'd hope we can port that kernel over to CM7.

I don't know in wich stage it is. I call it pre-beta... It is no more alpha because pretty much is working.

I will get this version as soon as more things are improved.I liked the CM7 version but the battery problem caused too much problems for me.I hope this version will get improved as soon as possible.
Keep up the good work!
I'll try it
Glad to know that enybody else try tot do something with our phone.
But I dont undrstand what is benefit of original android. But as alternative that cool to see a difference between stuf. Would be cool if someone third try to make a CAF version. I think it has a more perfomanse responsibilities and many impruvements.
Keep up the work, good luck.

Agree. Amazing really, especially considering how old the hardware is, not supporting flash, etc. At least with 2.3 we have some hope of using some of the newer apps.

Good if its easy but just like compiling kernels on linux, newer kernels cause some big headaches with drivers. I'd rather have the older kernel and have it working correctly then wait for the newer kernel to function properly.
Anything in the newer kernel that we need/want?
First of all yes this is an advantage of having 2.3.1 aswell but its hard to put in words.
second can i ask when would it be updated to the latest 2.3.3 from aosp?
third i got the phone on 28 sept 2010 and on that day was my birthday and also on that day joestone released the rootgt540!
look at the progress of openetna and you will realise that we will get new kernels, just that we need to establish a fully working rom first.
what is CAF?

So some little chit chat for why Play kernel exist.
For those not around much Prime was started while i didnt have the phone as an experiment.
That made my work very difficult and i couldn’t experiment much because if ended up no booting had no way to fix easily.
Then after my phone arrived and i could finally see the fruits we had a little vote as to where kernel was headed and it was decided towards battery life but
alas heat lag was there and was introduced when i didn’t had the phone and now i had to go back and redo and clean up and redo and search and experiment and try to fix.
As you see on Optimus Prime thread there are a lot of releases day in day out
Finally i nail it and heat lag was gone but trying to fix heat lag battery life gone to worst not by much but you could see it.
Since i implemented a lot of different platforms code i didnt want to start over the tedious search and destroy thing.
Surely battery can get better but phone wake up could get worst as you can see it reported a lot in Optimus Prime kernel thread. Now if i had the phone i could easily catch up the code that caused that behaviour from the start so same story as heat lag was infront of me again.
Yeah OP is awesome kernel by all means, has latest ouya code+htc deeply inside and it should perform awesome so why go back to new troubles.
Then i decide to pull in even more requested features and call it a day.
Am not answering clearly why Play exist am i?
Play is a way for me to fool around a little bit as a side project but not on a playground but in a game that winner takes all!

The Logo looks awesome and your optimus prime kernel is awesome too (Im on cm10.2 with a repack by myself ) But what exactly is the difference to prime? Im a developing newbie so github wont help me Sorry for that
I repacked it for cm10.2 and i will upload it for you guys
With repacked optimus prime 2.7 i had smooth homescreen animations, but on iodak v8 it was many ticks smoother, like 60 fps. On this kernel it feels smooth like iodak...will report more information this night Played asphalt 8 on online mode. No zero lag and better like every kernel i tested. So it meets its name But i think the temp throttle is back After gaming some minutes it started to lag like hell :/
Am building my(tm) device tree so i will start work only for cm10.2 so get ready to do the opposite and btw do you get same lags on cm vanilla?

Hi mate,
First of all thank you for developing this overclock tweak, I have been searching for an overclok kernel for 5 months, and this is working great. :good::good::good:
Are you going to develop a tweak for GPU?
it could make the T113 a lot faster.

Why?.. Is it impossible?
I am from Germany and have a P7 too. The German telecom wrote an article about an update to android 6 but this was a mistake.
There ist no update... And I think there will be also no one. The P7 is too old.
There is hardly any chance that our Huawei ever gets marshmallow, atleast not officially. Also Developers have no interest in this phone and that's why p7 hasn't got marshmallow via a custom rom. Though I'm not a developer, I will try to build CM for this phone in this summer and see what comes out of it.

Glad to hear that, hope some developer comes in to build a CM, so the development would go smoother

The problem is not in absence of interest, but in GPU driver. Even though we have Mali GPU, Huawei used HAL from Vivante GPU (legacy of P6).
So until you can't get rid of prebuilt surfaceflinger and Vivante's hwcomposer, you won't be able to build AOSP / CM based custom ROM.

Well, it's just a matter of some hard work. And since there are not may developers around( like Arca, who quitted developing) willing to commit time for p7, that's why we don't have marshmallow yet. So there is always a workaround, for example the s7 was thought to never even have a kernel not even mentioning the fingerprint, but after a long time a workaround was found by devs. So more devs = success.
You're funny!
I'm not going to keep discussing with you, cause you don't understand what you're talking about.
Keep dreamig.

They are not open source. In AOSP source code hwcomposer has just a skeleton, every vendor implements it by himself. In our case we just don't have any alternative implementation for our SoC except one with Vivante HAL.
I'm trying to apply drivers from other device with Mali-450 GPU, there are couple variants I have not tried yet, but most probably their result will be negative.

This would certainly explain the piss poor gui performance on our little device. I always knew something fishy was at miss.
Just as an idea. I've read that p8 lite has similar gpu to p7, different soc of course. Would it be possible to extract the gpu fun part from the kernel of p8 lite and transfuse it to p7 kernel? On huawei official site there is an official kernel for p7 made for easy download.... Although I'm guessing the camera would be a major issue.
AOSP really would be (is) a dream.

Using CM13 and this update drivers, I noticed a graphical improvement. But with the BHB27 things got a little unstable.
I know the title says Marshmallow. Just checking, not for 5.1 Lollipop -- like CM12.1?
After using for several days only CM13 of 06/20 with this update in normal use I had no problems except some reboot to make calls. But playing heavy games like Real Racing 3 for a long time, the phone heating up a lot, and restarted. With the stock kernel everything is working great.

This release contains a developer preview of the user-mode driver binaries for Qualcomm Adreno 3xx/4xx GPU on Nexus 5, Nexus 6, and Nexus 7 devices running Google Android Marshmallow. It has been tested with Soak Test 4. This release is intended only for developers, and does not meet our customer release quality. Please refer to the included readme file for installation.
Install zip nexus 6 via TWRP will work perfectly in any Marshmallow ROM !!
The openGL ES has been updated to version 3.2!!!

As I said in a previous post, I decided not to use the kernel for now.
The newly released driver, despite the early stage of development, brings me more personal advantages and has been absolutely stable with the stock kernel.
I have no problem to wait for the graphics driver version that will be interesting to consider for the development of this kernel. My intention was to alert about the incompatibility and know the position of the developer.
This is it. Everything is ok.

Have you check the zip before flash it?
That is a Nexus 6 zip you are sharing, we don't have a Nexus 6, Moto doesn't build Maxx ROM like Google.
So resuming, on Maxx (Custom or stock ROM) the firmware folder is not on vendor folder it is at, etc/firmware, if you flash that you have two adreno firmware, and probably the one that is running is the Maxx using Nexus libs so maybe that alone is the problem not my Kernel.
Have you enable open GL 3.2?
Probably not, if that update enable 3.2 how about enable it on the device to see the effect and improves...
How?
Change build.prop line:
ro.opengles.vrersion=196608 or 196609 to
ro.opengles.vrersion=196610
Open GL version:
196608 3.0
196609 3.1
196610 3.2
After the changes and a reboot + long use, then start report any thing related to the kernel if you have prof that the kernel is the problem in a way I can understand and reproduce, I don't really like user with minimum knowledge of what they are doing report bugs like that, this may not be your case you may know what you are doing but it doesn't seems to me, so if you know sorry.
Again I'm not trying to be impolite...

I'm new at XDA but I have years of experience with roms, mods etc. (from my Galaxy Y which was purchased in 2012 to be precise kkk), this ZIP only shared after testing here on my Moto Maxx and I make sure that everything was working until I obtained a gain nk AnTuTu benchmark in the 3D test jumped from 24k to almost 28k, I tested this driver in stock rom 6.0.1 (soak 4) with your kernel that cha BHB. Thank you for the clarification, do not worry, don't hurt me.... Don't go... kkk

I don't think you understand my post as you are still sharing a zip that will flash files on the wrong place, again we have a MAXX not Nexus 6 please read this part that I wrote before:

I copied the new driver files to the right folder on the MAXX and adjusted access rights.
Anyway, even before doing so, always using the kernel of stock SOAK4, everything worked well. No reboots.
Still now working well, even after the old drivers are overwritten by new ones - without erasing the original wrong folder.
Using smoothly from the beginning.

Fully understood, thank you again for clarification and apologize for having shared this zip, just wanted to make clear that only shared because it caused no problem here in my Maxx, but since it does not work already made sure
if I was not very clear apologize again because I am using Google translator because my English is very bad
For those who are doing tests with this early version of the driver - for desenvoledores only - there is an update in June, the "m" version.
Do not forget to copy the drivers to the right folder on the MAXX and verify the files system permissions.
I have already installed, and everything is normal.
I will use for a few days to evaluate effects.
Is there any possibility of getting compatible with custom roms?
There's no way to carry the Resurrection Remix? His performance is very good @bhb27
