Ok here is the problem that i'm having when ever I start stitcher radio on my phone I get an error message saying " Activity Stitcher player (in application stitcher) is not responding.. This is the only app I've had problems with so far that I know of...
could just be the app itself.
I had no problem with this app when I was running asop cmod7... I tried clearing out the cache for the app that didn't work... I haven't tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app to see if that clears out the prolem...

Try uninstalling and reinstalling. If it's one app and not "apps" then it's probably not the rom.

I had to do a system/data wipe then reflash the rom "teamheroc" but now I'm trying to figure out how to get back the apps I saved to the SD card ... I can get them back if I do a recovery from nandroid but it goes back to a different rom " asop cmod " that I had running when I backed up my phone... Or am I sol and have to download the apps again from the apps store..

Titanium Pro is the best for ROM flashing/backing up...tons of options for saving apps with/without data or system settings (bluetooth, wifi, calendar, etc). Best money I ever spent in the app store. Also tons of batch restore features.

Depending on how technically inclined you are and whether or not you understand everything I'm about to say, you can unyaffs your nandroid data.img and get your apk's. Then you can flash or push them or even install them from your SD card.
Google "unyaffs nandroid". It's not hard to do.

Puzzled???? Do you mean the apps you had moved to your sd??? As in you went.in to settings/applications/manage applications and moved the apps to the sd instead of running them from the phone?? Are you referring to those apps???

Hey guys...noob question here. Yesterday I rooted my wife's Hero and it was successful as far as I could tell. I proceeded to do a Nandroid backup via ROM Manager, but at the end of the backup it said something to the effect of "no sd-ext" or something like that.
Any thoughts?
Thanks!
You may need to format your SD card....be sure to back up your files on your computer, so you can put them back on there after....

Find out how to put ur phone into recovery via Google then nandroid backup from there. ROM manager is kinda funny acting so try that.

Well, not sure if it matters, but her card already has stuff on it so I'm assuming it's working correctly. Am I supposed to do something to the card prior to backing it up? Do I need to be in some sort of "mode" or check some box in an application? Sorry...still new to this phone.

Thanks for the reply! I've already tried that method as well and I get the same result.
am not sure. but i'd the same msg and when i googled some one answered that "because you do not have any app on the sd card to back up". well makes sense as before root all the apps were installed on the phone memory and not the sd card. Also after back up and restart when i go to the rom manager -> under back up and restore i am able to see the back that i created even with no sd-ext msg...
am not 100% sure but i think it did back up.. still enlighten me..
Running CM7RC
Decided to try one of the themes so I did a backup first using ROM Manager.
Didn't like the themes so I tried to restore.
It is coming up without my google account and there is no option to add it in the account settings.
I've wiped and reapplied the backup and also fixed permissions to no avail so far.
I'm finishing a 2nd fix permissions after wiping everything (even Davlik).
Has anyone ever had this happen to them? If so, what was the fix?
I'd rather get it restored than start over...
Restoring the account settings in Titanium doesn't help either.
I'm screwed, aren't I?
Do you have the Google apps installed (market, etc)?

Yes, happened to me many times when I flashed CM and forgot to flash gapps.
Download gapps-gb-20110120-signed.zip from here: http://goo-inside.me/google-apps/ and flash from recovery.
Did you use clockworkmod 3.0? It's been known to messed things up during nandroid restore.
Flash GAPPS like other have mentioned.
If not full wipe and start over, use AMon Ra or an older CWM version

Yeah, they were there when I restored the backup but they wouldn't open because there was no google account in the phone. Could flashing gapps fix this?

Yes, it is cwm 3.0
For now I've done a full wipe and started over and after a couple of days of tweaking I'll likely forget the incident. I might try restoring and flashing gapps but I have my doubts as to whether that would work.
I'm going to have to start being more vigilant about backing up apps/settings/data in other ways if a nandroid backup isn't dependable...
Thanks for the comments.
OK, I just flashed RC2 and the account issue popped back up so it isn't necessarily that backup I did before.

Ok, so I have a rooted Nexus One with cyanogen 6.0rc3 on it. I recently tried to put cyanogen 6.1 on it so I could upgrade to 7.0. Then, I see the common glitch where there is no market so I revert back to my old rom which I made a backup for(using ROM Manager). So here comes the hard part, when it restores my ROM, have no apps, no nothing which I downloaded, and I tried to restore again, because ROM Manager reinstalled, but I didn't get anything. Can some tell me how to get my data and all my stuff back, please?!?!?!?! If I don't get help by the end of the month, my service gets cut off, so I really need help!!!! Please help guys, thanks in advance, you guys are the bomb!!!!

What's that supposed to mean? You lose service because you don't have the data on your phone restored?
Are you using apps2sd?
I feel like you have no chance of restoring anything at the moment though.
If you have a custom recovery, just wipe and start again, or restore your backup... Make sure you have a gapps package that is compatible with your ROM...

All your apps will be in the market under 'my apps' and as long as you have synched with Google servers all your data should be retrieveable by re-synching.

You don't need to go to cm6.1 to get to cm7. Even on 6.1 you need to do a full wipe anyway to eliminate any potential problems.
Also did you happen to use CWM 3.0?

Have you tried to download the app more than once? It can take up to 8-10 times for certain app to download..
Also, are you trying to install them on your external? If so, move your downloads to internal.
EDIT: Here comes the stupid question.. Do you have a gmail account?? and if so, is it setted up on your phone.
Yes I do have a gmail account and yes I'm installing to internal. im not that much of a newbie

also ive tried install apps from market and from external in all kinds roms. it never works

Download an app from the market called android id changer.
Open app
Click save id
make sure you back up app using titanium
Next time you flash open app
Click load id
Click change
Phone will reboot
No guarantee this works but it is worth a shot

no i mean can i back up my stock rom and data using clockworkmod backup, so that i can restore it later if this doesn't work
You can do a backup through clockwork, this will back everything up, buy you would still need to flash sick first then restore backup in order to get it back. You can not respite the 2.1 backup directly onto 2.2

Hey everyone...
ive already tried to get some quick help already but i really need my phone tonight LOL.
iam running cm9 rom with the latest cm9 stable kernal, now i wanted to flash the hydrocore kernal to see if battery would improve, but it seemed fine but then choppy afew hours later so i changed back to cm9 kernal. Anyway after it rebooted it stayed on the paranoid android bootscreen! where you see the picture loading. i then tried to wipe the cache and dalvik and its still stuck. someone mentioned to do a wipe but i was unsure if he meant to a full wipe? as ive not wiped the factory reset, just the two caches! ive also flashed both kernals back and forth and im still stuck.
Its a simple issue iam sure but could someone help me, im unsure if i should do a full wipe including factory reset or just flash the cm9 rom again. if so can i have instructions step by step...
thank you.
islandmixed, you are on a safe kernel so there is no harm in performing a wipe data/factory reset.

wipe data is totally wiping what's in your phone.. including what's inside the system/apps, build props and framework...
you may need to flash back your g.apps if you want to get all of them and selectively selecting which to install back(rather than just restoring it from TB)
TB does not restore all what you have made a backup to.
